TUMA LAWN SVC & LANDSCAPING

Very professional, came out met with me and did a review of the work I wanted to have done. Came back after working up a plan and sit me down to go over the work and follow up with me. I decided to not use the plan they had given me and decided to do the work on my own.

Reputable lawn service I have used over the years.

Some of the work was delayed but when all was done it was as specified. Wade is personally involved in all and when I had an issue with the tree planted he come in a few days and personally fixed the problem.

I use that for all my lawn care needs... from landscaping to ongoing grass cutting. Their attention to detail is outstanding... and it always nice to hear from them if they notice i need something else done. Could not be happier.

After having some fencing installed the yard needed work. We purchased the big deal to have the surface filled in, evened and seeded. We also asked for a brick border to put placed at ground level to facilitate mowing. It took several calls to explain what we were expecting and the project did not go as smoothly as we would have liked. Tuma was responsive to all our calls and worked with us to finish the project. We both made some compromises to get the job finished. I would have liked a smoother interaction, but feel they did a decent job to try to make things right. The work they did was good. They were prompt and speedy. I would use them again, but only with a clear and detailed communication of the job.

I initially got an estimate in April. I knew that the ideal time to put in a new lawn with seed was in late August or early September. I contacted them again on September 17 through Angie's List. I got an auto response that they would contact me within 48 hours. Since I knew I was late and the situation was time sensitive, on September 20 I sent another message since I had not heard from anyone. At that point I called and spoke with the owner, Randy Tuma. He told me that my project manager was out of town and would get back to me. Over the next ten days I played telephone tag with the project manager. He finally met with me on October 3 and the project was done on October 7. The job was done very well. I am most pleased. However, the service of the project manager has continued to be subpar. Neither he nor the workers gave me instructions about how to care for the sod. I had to call the project manager to get instructions about watering and mowing. At that time he promised to send me proposals for ongoing care. It has been over three weeks with no response.

Randy Tuma did a great job from quoting the job, to getting it done, cleaning up, and making sure we were satisfied. Randy handled everything himself and provided me with his cell phone number for any questions I had during the process. Randy and his crew were professional and not only did a good job on the install, but also did a great job restoring our lawn where they dug. I would highly recommend Tuma for any landscaping needs!

This company was very nice and courteous but the deal was different than I expected and did not end up using it.

The outcome was great. My old retaining wall looks like new. It made the curb appeal soar. The Tuma Brick masons were very professional, timely,easy to deal with plus did a wonderful job.

We called to schedule an appointment to set up a free estimate on replacing our retaining wall. We met with the owner that same week. He was a little tardy but he was very nice and had a world of knowledge. A few weeks later he returned with a beautiful design and price. He went through his design and discussed all of our options. We where very impressed by this company the only reason we didn't but was the price just more than what we where expecting.

We've had different lawn services but overall, Tuma has been our best and most reliable go-to lawn care for over 30yrs. And Randy Tuma still has most of the same crew! Chris has been phenomenal at satisfying my landscaping design needs; Mimmo (?) is my favorite yard-crasher; Joanne a super phone-contact lady, and Frank has always helped with ideas to create or improve features in my landscape. From hauling dirt to spacing rocks and just being available, the whole Tuma crew has been remarkably professional and consistent. The plants they've brought have been hardy, healthy and growing strong. I've asked that they call before coming out so I can contain my dog, and they've never missed a call. We've had cheaper lawn services, but in this case, by staying with Tuma, we've been getting more than we pay for. Now that we're members of Angie's List, we wanted to commend this company for their dedication, helpfulness and professionalism toward us all these years. Thank You!

Supervisor Frank Fleming came to our house a couple of days after we first contacted Tuma. We discussed the scope of the work that we wanted, and he suggested the materials to be used and looked at our property and described the proposed work and the plants to be removed and replaced. The object was not only to improve the appearance of the property, but to reduce the annual maintenance as much as possible. The stone and rock we reviewed were beautiful, as were the plants. The crews were extremely busy, so it was several weeks before they were able to do the work, which was not a problem for us. Frank brought three fellows in the morning of July 8 and they worked steadily for almost three days to complete the work. The work was excellent and the area was neat and clean when the job was done. In my opinion, they are highly skilled and the cost of the project was reasonable.

We had a great experience with Tuma Lawn Service and would recommend them. They were very professional and educated in their field. We have only great things to say about this company and it was a pleasure to work with them. Our landscaping looks terrific!

Prior to a couple of years ago we use to take care of the lawn with the standard products you buy at the stores, which did not seem to do the job. We contracted with them to replant some areas of the lawn and also provide a yearly maintenance program . They have done a great job. The lawn has never looked better. Some areas of the lawn, they reseeded did not catch, and they came back to do it over. They are always on time and they are the best. You can't go wrong hiring them to do your job.

The trees/shrubs were of excellent quality. The crew was on-time, professional and neat. The clean up after the trees and shrubs were installed was outstanding (no trash left behind, sidewalks were cleaned). I highly recommend this company.

They were great. Frank responded quickly to all my phone call and questions. They resolved all the problems and added some shrubs and put everything back in place. They cleaned up everything.

Tuma was very professional from the start. They returned phone calls promptly and showed up on time for all scheduled appointments. Chris was willing to work with us, using natural stone, rather than pavers for our patio. The guys who installed everything were very polite and hardworking. They kept us informed about everything. There were a few areas that needed to be redone after the patio was finished. Chris had his team out to promptly to take care of these issues. We are very happy with our patio and fire pit. I would highly recommend the guys from Tuma. We will definitely use them again for any future projects.

Extremely well. The employees were courteous, professional, thorough and worked quickly. I had picked out over 80 plants, bushes and trees which were planted at my direction by preparing areas that were lawn, converted to garden. In addition, flag stone walking paths were placed in the gardens to allow easy walking through. Fresh top soil was brought in for all the new beds and to repair some of the old beds/grassy areas.

I was given an estimate and told that I would have the work performed around mother's day. Mother's day came and went and did not have any phone calls, etc. I placed 4 phone calls and got no return phone call for 2 weeks. I finally got a callback and was told they would be out in 2 days. Again, no show and no call. They finally came on Friday and they took out bushes that we had discussed would not be taken out and the whole job, with exception to retaining wall, was done half-butt. He then tried to charge me $250 more than the estimate.

We contacted Tuma Lawn Service to do some work in our backyard. We had a few different projects that we needed taken care of such grass planted and a small decorative pond removed. When we initially called they set up a date for the following week for someone to come out to give us a quote. He arrived as requested and we went over what we would like done. He said that he would give us a call the following week with the quote. He never called us with the information or called us back. Apparently they did not want the job.

So far we are impressed with the quality of time and effort this company has put into our project.

The short form can be wrapped up as outstandingly. I requested when i setup the service that i wanted to turn the extensive high maintance setup the previous owners had to some more conservative. They cut back, ripped out, mulched and trimmed everything to exactly how pictured it. I could not be more pleased with the outcome. They have been a pleasure to deal with during the whole process.

Perhaps one of the most professional landscapers I've ever met - and I've been in the business for 30+ years! Quick to return calls, schedules an appointment, KEEPS the appointment and shows up on time! I called during the busy season and wanted to get a price on trimming back our way overgrown hillside that had been neglected for years. The price he gave us was exactly in the ballpark of what I expected. Told him to schedule it when he could and they showed up within DAYS - not MONTHS later or not at all! Health problems have kept me from keeping up on work that I normally would have done myself. I won't hesitate to call them again for further landscaping needs.

Wade and his crew were fantastic. The quality of their work, as well as their professionalism is as good as it gets. Before you call a seasonal outfit or do business with one of the many gypsy outfits that seem to spring up every year.... call Tuma. You won't be disappointed.

After contacting the office to set up an appointment, Randy Tuma (the president of the company) came to my house to see the site and provide an estimate to replace the retaining wall. He needed a couple of days to write up the estimate, and eventually offered to come back to my house since he was in the neighborhood to deliver the quote in person. His quote was within $100 of another offer that I had received. The combination of his eagerness about the project and stopping by to deliver the quote in person while discussing it with me were the reasons I decided to go with Tuma. After deciding to go ahead with the retaining wall, I decided to also have the tree removed, and Randy came back to the house to give me an estimate on that, which I accepted. Randy said that the retaining wall would take 1, possibly 2 days depending on the size of the crew. After adding the tree removal, I knew that a second day would definitely be necessary. Randy came to the site with 2 other workers on the first day and the 3 of them worked together to cut down the tree, remove the root ball, and tear down the retaining walls. After that the two workers spent the first day laying out the beginning of the retaining walls. Randy stopped by the site at the start of the second day and again at the end of the second day. They worked a longer day on the second day, but finished the project. The workers were very professional when I was in contact, and with Randy making 3 appearances at my house, I knew that he was keeping a close eye on what was going on. If I need to have any other landscaping projects done at my house, Tuma will be my first call.
