+ -1 moreWould like to say things went great, but I can't. Steve does good work and is very skilled in what he does with stone, but he didn't deliver as promised and was extremely hard to contact throughout the project. The job was estimated to take 2-days according to Steve, but after over a month, Steve left and never came back and never returned my calls. He ran into a problem fabricating the concrete countertop (which was suppose to be he's speciality) and left the project unfinished without any explanation. The pictures show the problem... The countertop corner didn't match and fit. The top sill cracked after one day and didn't fit flat at the corner as well. The final picture is after I had to contract another company (Giant Stone) to finish the countertop the right way!... They had to make a template rather than measurements because of how "out-of-square" the grill l-shape was built by Bickerstaff. The material was Granite and it ended up costing less than what Bickerstaff quoted for the entire project including the inferior cement countertop. Lesson learned, don't trust anyone and insist in talking to past customers not just pictures!

Description of Work: Nothing. I left a phone message that was never returned. My philosophy is that if a contractor depends on new clients for his business he should return phone calls - otherwise it says to me that he is too busy and doesn't need my business or he would be hard to get in touch with should a problem occur. This was for concrete work.

Description of Work: removed 2 Windsor walls on both sides of driveway. installed 2 versalok walls. included excavation, limestone footer, proper drainage, gravel, and backfill of walls. also installed new shrubs and lava rock along side of walls.

Description of Work: Bickerstaff employees replaced old mulch with new, trimmed all the shrubs (of which there are many - including hedges and ornamentals) and edged around the entire house. I was impressed with all the edging done with a machine -- much nicer and faster than using a shovel. They were even able to go around certain trees which I wanted to enlarge the edged All of this was done with great professionalism and care. Its wonderful to have the entire yard completed in one fell swoop!
