Handyman Matters of Lancaster York

I ended up needing to have Troy out 3 different times, each time the project took longer and costed significantly more than what I was quoted.

I had to go back and forth with the office about the number of windows I wanted to have repaired. The gave me an estimate for one window but I needed two repaired. They told me they were going to come around the time I got off work which was at 3pm but they showed up at 11:30am so I took off work so I could be present. They didn't do anything like I was advised they were going to do for me. They were going to charge me double for doing one window but good thing I reached out to them before they ordered anything and work was done.

I got a quote promptly. The service was scheduled promptly. I had work done to multiple bathrooms, bedroom, and patio area. All done quickly, professionally, and correctly. Final price was less than anticipated quote. I'm just sorry I took so long to call because things stayed in a status of disrepair far too long.

Doug came here personally to look at the work I requested and gave me the estimate later that same day. Because we had to order material, paint the doors, etc, the work took about two weeks to be completed. That said, the handyman was at my house only three days. He worked non-stop until he did everything he could. Very professional, efficient, good work with good results. I have worked with Doug before and have referred him to friends and clients. He is definitely our one and only handyman.

My experience with them is excellent. They are very accommodating, upfront with their pricing and the local franchise owner has been fantastic to work with.

They gave me an estimate, but their contract says they charge by the hour. Towards the end they indicated that it was going to cost me more, because it was taking them longer to do the work. Then the story changed when they mentioned that the person who gave me the estimate messed up. They were going to bill me $10,000.00, which was more than the original estimate. I gave them a C for professionalism, because I had to personally buy the paint and when they were rinsing out their paint brushes they left the water on, and I had to pay for the water bill.
