+ 0 morePainting went fine but garage floor did not. We waited longer to drive in it than the directions but the “paint” came off. University Painters are not experts in garage floors and we recommended they do not attempt to do them in the future. Of course we thought they were working with us to resolve the issue but, after 6 months, no reimbursement has been received even though we have documentation and admission of failure and costs would be reimbursed.. we are very disappointed with Jonathan. We accepted his word which, as we have learned, is worthless. We hired another company to strip what was left on our garage floor and redo the work correctly. We are not asking for University Painters to pay to have it redone - just reimburse the original cost and what it cost to have it removed.
Description of Work: We hired Jonathan and his team to paint the entire interior of our new home, stain the concrete in the basement and app you the garage floor. This was a brand new home ready and primed for the Painters. The work on the basement was fine, the paint on the walls was fine. However, the apoxy came off the garage floor when we drove on it. We tried working with Jonathan and he tried making Home Depot responsible. We have been patient. We simply asked for a refund of the amount we paid to have the garage floor done by University and the cost to have it removed. Jonathan agreed and even put in e-mails that he would feel the same way. We paid University per our original agreement. However, apparently Jonathan and University Painters do not need to pay amounts they agree to. Having followed up several times and agreeing to allow 3 payments, we just get excuses like “ I could pay you or keep my house”. Playing on our good nature and sympathies. We have been totally honest with Jonathan and very patient.

+ -1 moreI got a call the day before to let me know when to expect the painters, who showed up right on time. They were EXTREMELY efficient and the rooms look wonderful. I have absolutely no complaints and would definitely hire them again in a heartbeat.
Description of Work: We needed two rooms painted rather quickly. There was a lot of back and forth communication while we hammered out the details, but Jonathan was very responsive and didn't seem to bat an eye about all of my changed decisions.

+ -1 moreThe painters, Sergio and Kenny arrived on time and were very pleasant. They introduced themselves and told us what they were going to do. Sergio explained their work process and asked if we had any additions or changes to the work order. The team worked professionally and quickly. In 5 1/2 hours the work was beautifully done. Our last painter had left paint on the white ceiling--no paint marks from this job! Sergio and Kenny even cleaned up any paint spots on our hardwood floors. I would definitely hire this group again.

The crew member who completed the job was very professional, and took the time to answer any questions we had during the project. There was a miscommunication regarding the extent of surface work to be performed which resulted in a higher labor cost and when we raised the concern, Jonathan acted swiftly to resolve the issue. It is due to his prompt handling of the issue that we will hire University Painters for future projects. They understand the meaning of excellent customer service!

Set up time for them to come they were here on time and always let us know when they were leaving and time for them to come back. Any painting that has to be done in the future inside or outside will be done by University Painters.

Once we chose University Painters, they got our job into their schedule within 2 weeks and in 5 days, the job was done. Jonathan was always responsive to our questions. Sergio was the Lead painter/foreman for the job and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He is very conscientious of his work and wouldn't leave unless we were completely satisfied.

Tyler did an unbelievably thorough job at cleaning, prepping, priming, and painting the exterior trim and woodwork all over our house. He also painted our garage door and window shutters. He was excellent at communicating with us and so diligent as he worked, throughout the 9-10 days total that he was here. He noticed and took care of so many small things that we never would have considered, ending in a better result than we ever could have expected. We just replaced our garage door and will be having University Painters out to paint it to match the shutters. Could not recommend them highly enough!

There was a problem discovered with a rotten board that was not apparent until the work was started, and I received a call from Tyler, my painter, and given options on how I wanted to deal with it. The work was done professionally and I have the highest regard for both Jonathon and Tyler. I have already arranged to have a second project done by University Painters.

+ 0 moreIt was a mixed bag. They made me wait 10 weeks before showing up with a one man "crew" as they were completing outside jobs before the cold weather hit. The painter assigned came late and left early every day...used a consumer steamer not a commercial one to remove wallpaper costing me as I was paying by the hour. The whole job took much longer than expected. Can't complain about the room painting but the cabinet job was not good...didn't use a short nap roller or hang doors properly. The rework was done quickly and professionally by another crew. I must say other than scheduling Jonathon was prompt in returning communications.
Description of Work: Painted 5 rooms, foyer, hallways and kitchen cabinets. Also removed wallpaper from two rooms.
