I contacted Lesher requesting an estimate on a bathroom remodel in early July, 2017. After an exchange of emails, we settled on July 24 for a visit. Scott, who came to look at the bathroom and hear what I wanted done, was prompt, courteous and seemed knowledgable. He left saying he'd get back to me with an estimate. He didn't cite a date, but I assumed in a week or two. After 11 days with no estimate, I sent an email simply asking when I might receive the estimate. Here's the reply: "Hello _______, Scott will be taking care of your job for you. Scott, please let ________ know when you will be able to provide a quote. Thank you, Rachelle Lowe Project Manager Lesher Natural Stone, Quartz, & Tile That was on August 4. Now, more than a month later, I never heard from Scott or anyone from Lesher.

First, let me express our sincere apologies for not getting your quote to you in a timely fashion. After reading your review, we examined what went wrong internally so that this does not happen again. As a small, family run business we pride ourselves on our customer service. This past summer we experienced a huge increase in the volume of business that went through our shop and showroom. Hiring and training new employees is a long and challenging process. Unfortunately, your request for a quote fell through the cracks during this time. We apologize for our mistake.

The counter tops are very nice and the installation went fairly well when they finally arrived. Lesher was supposed to show up on May 9 to start and complete on May 10. We were not notified that they could not meet the dates and they did not show up. In call to them, they stated that the were two days behind and would start on May 11. During a further communication on that date, they said they would be delayed until Friday May 13. They called later that day and said they would start on Thursday, May 11 and be at the house at 8:30 AM. Once again, they did not show. I called at 9:30 and they said they had not left the shop yet (45 minutes away). Once they arrived, things seemed to be going well and I was told they would complete the job that day. They arrived with 1/2 of the counter tops and said they were going back for the balance. A call to their tech said the vehicle broke down and they would not be back until Friday. Overall, very poor communication. Bottom line, good product, poor management. Based on that, I would not use them again.

Sorry for the delay in responding to your comments. You are right about this past spring, we had some totally unexpected things happen creating stress on the normal flow of the business. As with many small companies things aren't always perfect. We are back on track and hope you'll reconsider us for your next project. In the end, we are so glad you are happy with the finished product.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS COMPANY! Starting with Mary Jane helping with design and expert advice, helping me to get a remnant stone because of size, the right tile, etc. She was always upbeat, kind, and helpful. I even made some changes to the type of fixtures I wanted and she followed through as if it was no bother. Randall came out to look at the job before I received the estimate. He was extremely helpful and "nothing was too difficult" to give me what I was told by others could not be done--and he did everything beyond my expectations. I received the estimate within 24 hours and they expedited the time frame to get everything done because I was leaving for business travel. As a leadership consultant and behavioral analyst I teach companies how to not just externally provide customer service to get and keep customers (though that is good) but to genuinely value the customer and what the customer values. Everything I have witnessed with this company exemplifies that they do value the customer, the quality of work they provide demonstrates that and they treat as valuable what is important to the customer. Now, here is the above and beyond call of duty example that this company displayed to me through the whole process: 1. Randall was so respectful of my home, cleaned up after himself even when I told him it was okay to leave the things out because he was coming back in a day to finish the project. No...he cleaned and vacuumed. Wow! The first time he came to our home I told him we are a "shoeless" house...never had to remind him after that. 2. He was pulling off an old counter top and putting on a new stone one (of course there would be some need for paint touch ups--it's construction stuff) along removing old floor and laying title, removing floor baseboards, with new towel bars, etc. He asked if we had any bathroom paint and was immaculate about every touch up (which was not his responsibility...but he cared how it looked. 3. We had some speckles on the stained wood baseboard from a previous paint job and he asked for something to clean that up - he made our baseboard look so much nicer then before they were pulled out. Once again, this was not his responsibility but he really cared about excellence. 4. There was no access panel for tub plumbing and he went way out of his way to put an access panel that actually looked nice when he was done...and it was inside a closet where perfect "beauty" was not anticipated and it looks great. 5. The big deal for me was that there was NO STRESS in the whole process. I hate remodeling projects and construction, but there were absolutely no problems and my house was not disrupted. (In fact Mary Jane said to me before we started - work on one project at a time so you are not without during the process...her counsel in many things helped me to make the right choices and save money meaning "less sales" for them at the moment, but in the process they've gained a repeat customer). Bottom line: Not only would I hire them again, but I am anxious to redo our master bathroom--much bigger project. I don't have any of the dread you feel when you go into a remodel. I trust them! Lastly, Randall has an "over-the-top" work ethic that really impresses me! He carried the extra tile into my storage, did all types of little finishing touches. The job superseded my expectations...but now I've got great expectations for my next project.

We visited about six suppliers and installers of granite kitchen counters on September 2, 2014. Prior to our search, we went to Angie's List in order to narrow our choices. We asked each firm to give us an estimate based on the sketch and measurements we provided them. Lesher's was the final stop as planned as we were most impressed by the reviews on Angie's List. We saw an unique granite counter top at Lesher's. This was in stock. We reviewed the back splash choices with Diane in the showroom and opted to pick one to match the counter top. We decided to have the tiles put on vertically instead of the normal horizontal installation. The prices provided to us was more than competitive. We received the quote on October 3rd, 2014. While the quote took a little longer than anticipated, we weren't in a hurry and Diane kept us aware of what was going on. The paperwork accompanying the quote stated the back splash we had selected was discontinued. We made another trip to Middletown and select another tile pattern as wll as a new faucet/sink from a store recommended by Diane. BTW, Lesher's was extremely busy at that time of the year, We didn't have any completion date in mind which worked well for both parties. We sent them a deposit, and they scheduled a visit to do the template on October 13th. The old counter top was removed on October 24th, and our new one installed later in the morning. We had picked out a new faucet and sink after our second visit to Lesher's, and which also was installed on the same day. There were some wall repairs required after they removed our old counter/ back splash that morning. The tiled back splash was installed over three days on November 21, 22 and 24, 2014. We are extremely pleased with the entire process, including the costs. They were very respectful of our home and did a far better job than we had done on our previous house.

bove wI can't say enough nice things about Lesher, I worked with Mary Jane to pick out my granite. She is very professional, helpful and a very easy person to work with. My kitchen is a small galley kitchen. But they never made me feel like my small project was less important than any other project they were doing. Everyone was so great, from the design intern, Toni, to the installers, to the templater, just everyone! You can tell the all really care about what they're doing and the customer. May Jane was responsive to all my questions in a timely manner. She always got back to me with the answers to even the littlest question usually on the same day. They did the installation today and it looks absolutely fabulous! the were on time and went over and above what I was expecting. They were very thorough to make sure all the plumbing connection were done correctly and there would be no problem. They were extremely tidy. I would highly recommend Lesher to anyone needing stone work done.

This is the 2nd countertop Lesher installed for me. As with the first job they were willing to work with me. From assisting me to pick the slab which best suited my desires and cabinets to Scheduling the measurements and the installation. Their staff made this selection easy and scheduling was on time. The installers were punctual and permitted me to add blocking where it would provide better weight bearing. They were professional, clean and accurate. the finished work is beautiful and I get nothing but good comments from guest to my house.

Project manager, Mary Jane was so helpful! She seemed to know what I wanted even before I did! Gave me a small sample to take home and put up against my cabinets and it was perfect! I was concerned about where the seam might go. I have a pretty small kitchen and they got the whole countertop out of one slab. No seams! This is unlike Lowe's who bring in pieces and put a seam every foot or two. Lesher even let me come in and see the slab I was purchasing. When I would think of a question, I would email Mary Jane and she answered my questions the same day. I wasn't sure what I wanted in the way of a backsplash, but there was absolutely no pressure to do the backsplash at the same time as the counters. Workers were friendly and professional. I had them put in a new garbage disposal and had the granite cut for a sink-top switch for the disposal, along with the faucet, which I picked out and purchased. Randall hooked up all of the plumbing to the new sink (I went from a double sink to a single), the new disposal, and the sink-top switch. This company knows what they are doing and works well together as a team. I would highly recommend them if you are considering a kitchen or bath remodel. The whole experience was painless and worry-free!

Every staff member we encountered was professional, helpful and courteous. They worked with our busy scheduled and time frame to have the new countertop installed in a timely manner as it was part of an entire kitchen renovation. The installation crew arrived on time and completed the job efficiently. We were very pleased with the entire process and would recommend them to others.
Description of Work: We were renovating the kitchen in a townhouse and needed new countertops after having new kitchen cabinets installed. We had already obtained one estimate from another company but were not satisfied with the product and staff interaction. A friend recommended Lesher Natural Stone, Quartz & Tile. We went to the show room to discuss the project with staff who then showed us various samples of granite. After we determined which granite and options we wanted, they gave us a detailed description of total project cost. We then scheduled an appointment for the staff to visit our home to obtain measurements to create the template. The installation crew came ten days later to install the new granite countertop.

Initially we received estimates from another supplier referred by the company providing our cabinets. The estimate included pricing for both granite and quartz. We had no plans at that time to seek any further estimates. Following a change in the kitchen design, a second estimate was provided. We were expecting the second estimate to come in higher since it involved more approximately 6 sq. ft. more of countertop. What we were not expecting was the price of quartz to increase 24% while the granite only increased 18%. Our thoughts were both prices should have increased by the same percentage. At this time we contacted 3 other companies including Lesher for estimates. We ruled out one of the other suppliers immediately. The pricing seemed to low compared to our previous estimate and we heard some negative comments. Their estimate was actually less than Leshers. The other supplier we did not choose provided an estimate in line with Leshers. So, why did we decide to go with Leshers? From the start, we just felt good about them. Talking with Kurt on the phone was comfortable. Kurt is soft spoken and takes his time explaining and answering questions. He just made us feel comfortable. We gave Kurt approximate dimensions just to get an idea of the approximate costs. We liked the price and decided to visit Leshers in person to pick out our countertop and go through more questions and answers. During this visit we made to feel welcome and Kurt spent a lot of time with us discussing the project. He even anticipated my request for a blank for a future slide in stove. Very impressive! I told Kurt the story about the estimate increasing so much on the Cambria (see above) which resulted in us looking for another supplier. Kurt actually defended the competition, rather than talk them down, and explained a possible reason why this may have occurred. I thought this said quite a bit about the man's character. We discussed availability of the product, and time from templating to installation. This was also better than the competition. Kurt explained that they would be seaming the countertop and where the seams would be located. This would allow for use of 2 slab of quartz. This is a sigificant savings over our original estimate which was going to use 3 slabs. I was concerned about how the seams would look, but after the installation I am pleased. The gentleman who came out to do the templating was very courteous and answered all questions with patience. He also quieted some of my concerns in regards to the sink installation. Finally, the day of installation arrived. I forget the name of the two gentlemen who performed the installation, but they were top notch. They did an excellent job installing the sink and seaming all pieces of quartz together. All the while doing it in a friendly manner with a concerned homeowner asking questions. The job was completed and the workers gone when I decided to check the spacing for the stove. This was the first time I became concerned. Although the opening was wide enough for the stove we already had, I was concerned about the stove I planned on buying. With getting into a lot of detail, during my research of stoves I found the dimensions can run anywhere from 29 3/4 inches wide to 30 1/4 inches wide. I requested an opening of 30 1/6 inches and when I measured the opening it was only 29 7/8 inches. This may not sound like much, but when you're trying to squeeze a stove in between two pieces of quartz even 1/16 of an inch matters. I called Leshers immediately told Kurt who transferred me to Frank. Frank is the president. Frank assured me they could shave off some of the countertop when the time came to get a new stove. I was not too keen on waiting. I wanted to know what the opening was going to be before a stove was delivered. After a few phone calls and some discussion the same two gentlemen who installed the stove came back to widen the opening. Now I was really concerned about what they were going to do and how it would look when they were finished. I was again reassured they did this before and it would be okay. A little while later they were done and already had my stove back in before I knew it. They did explain they did not widen it to 30 1/16 inch because they were concerned about damaging the cabinets. With the stove installed I really couldn't see what the edges that they shaved down looked like, but from what I could see they looked just fine. I took a measurement and they had shave about 1/8 inch off so I'm keeping my fingers crossed on that 30" stove I want. It may be a tight squeeze but I'm hopeful if necessary Lesher will help me out with taking a little more off when the time comes. My novel ends with why I'm writing this review. I believe in referrals and have told many of my friends about Leshers and how happy I was finding them. So when I got a letter in the mail from Leshers thanking me for my business and asking me to fill out an enclosed form for Angies List giving my honest opinion of their work I was more than happy to do that. They also explained in their letter that a member review carried more weight, so if I stated they referred me when I signed up for a membership to Angies List they would send me a check for my first years membership once the review was posted. I really don't have a need for a membership to Angies List, but if it helps Lesher Inc. more and they are willing to bear the cost I was obviously willing to take the time. I would hope it is apparent from my positive review that I was very happy with my experience with Lesher from start to finish and am not writing this for the free membership. That being said I have to say that "I was referred by Lesher" to sign up for Angies List and would like to thank Lesher for paying for my first year of membership.
Description of Work: Lesher Inc. fabricated and installed 1 1/2 inch thick Cambria quartz countertop for a U-shaped kitchen. There were 4 sections of top installed. Section 1 used 2 pieces of stone which were seamed together to form 1/2 of the U. The measuresments were 133" on the long side and 52" on the short side. Section 2 was a bartop which was installed above section 1. The bartop also used 2 pieces of stone which were seamed together. It was necessary to seam 2 pieces due to the length 137" of the bartop. Section 3 was similar to section 1 only smaller. One side was 66" and the other was 68" using 2 pieces of stone seamed together. This was the other 1/2 of the U. Section 4 was a small piece of stone measuring 33" long on the wall opposite the U. Lesher also provided me with a blank piece of stone 30" in length and approx 4" wide for use behind a slide in stove to be installed at a later date. There were numerous edges to choose from and I chose the Eased Edge Profile. All of the above required 2 slabs of quartz.

The service turned out very well. From the point to looking at all of the granite in their warehouse to the work being done, everything was done very well. They took the time to take off the molding and custom cut them so there was no gap between the granite and the baseboards. It meshes perfectly, they put caulk between the baseboard and granite as well. They went over cleaning and care procedures for the granite and showed us how to take care of it as well.
Description of Work: They provided a custom piece of granite. They custom cut a semi-circle for our entry way. They rounded it and put a nice hollywood bevel edge that matches the carpet.

Everything went according to plan. Since both me and my wife work, one of the reasons that we went with Leshers were assurances from previous reviews that the Lesher crews could be trusted in our home while we were not there. We were not dissapointed in this regard. The seam in the new granite countertop is not noticable unless one searches for it. Leshers did a great job in matching and blending patterns in the stone.
Description of Work: Tore out existing Formica countertops and sink, installed new granite countertops, new sink, new faucet, and reinstalled the garbage disposal
