KOHLER ROOFING & SIDING

Description of Work: Used this roofer in 2007 to have our main roof replaced - very good experience and price. Called him in the fall of 2011 to look at a rubber roof, never came out even though he said he would, ended up having to hire someone else. Now we have a back porch roof that is leaking, because we had a very good experience with him in 2007 and his price was good I thought I'd give him another shot. Called him for this recent job on 6/13/12. He did come out but since then it has been nothing but me calling and leaving messages as to when he's coming back to do the work? I always get an answer machine. First call back from him he said the weather has been too hot. on 7/9/12 he said he'd be out in 1-2 weeks, no show. Left him a message on 7/30/12 to call that day and let me know if I need to make other arrangements, no call. Left him a message the following day that we would be hiring someone else. 7 weeks later I'm no closer to having this roof repaired - ughh! Don't waste your time with this guy!!

Description of Work: Mr. Kohler quoted me a price on two roofs and stated he would fix two sections of siding that was blown off from high winds if I'd hire him to do the job. The roof was completed and I paid him in full. He didn't fix the siding but said he would come back and do the job. A month went by before the first rain came and both roofs leaked. I called Mr. Kohler and left a message that the foofs were leaking. He didn't reply. I called two more times and still no reply. The third time I called I left a message stating I thought he was an honest person and wouldn't do this to people. He finally called me back and said he would come and look at the roof after I expressed my dissatisfaction with his work. He came back and pulled off the bottom track of the siding and applied sealant at the edge of the roof and siding, but left the track hanging over the side of the house. The roof still leaks and the rain ruined work I did inside the back room. Mr. Kohler told consumer protection that it was my siding that was leaking. I had that same siding for ten years and the old roof didn't leak until high winds pulled it off. Like I said my roof still leaks and he never did fix the siding. The repair work on the siding was not written on the contract it was verbal. So I guess screw me. BE CAREFUL WHO YOU HIRE!
