Dave and an associate came in as a subcontractor to one of the large local flooring/carpet retailers. Exceptional work, fast, efficient...and we love the look/finish of the laminate surface. We are considering a master bath update (small footprint), and will contact Dave directly for an estimate on those items he can do.
Description of Work: Remove carpet, install laminate floor in home office (4th bedroom).

DBH did a pretty good job on the install, but when we had a problem with one of the stairway risers cracking and contacted him, it took him four months to help us get a new riser from Hardwood Warehouse (two months for him to even show up and take pictures and another two month before he got the pictures to Hardwood Warehouse so that a replacement could be ordered), and then once the riser arrived, he kept promising to come replace it and repeatedly never showed up. Eventually he wouldn't even answer our calls. A full seven months after the crack was first reported to DBH, we finally ended up working with Hardwood Warehouse directly. They were surprised because they thought DBH had done the replacement work months before. Once they undestood that we had been left in the lurch, they were fantastic in getting someone out to our house to do the work that same week. They also absorbed the cost of the labor because of the crappy way the whole thing had been handled by DBH. I would get wood from Hardwood Warehouse again anytime, but would never have DBH Flooring do work in my home again. Sad thing is that we were getting ready to remodel a bathroom and would have used them for that work if they had remained professional and responsive to the issues on the hardwood job.
Description of Work: DBH Flooring was the installer provided supplied by CarpetMart for the engineered hardwood flooring we purchased there for our home. In addition, we contracted DBH separately to install a custom hardwood staircase from Hardwood Warehouse on our stairway.
This was a 2-week project, and it's difficult to have most of your home under construction for that long. However, Dave did everything he could to make the process easier on us. He worked very neatly, cleaning up well at the end of each day. He communicated clearly with us about how things were progressing, and completed the work on time. He took it in stride when we asked him to complete a few side projects, and gave us a very fair price on the additional work. Our new floors are beautiful, and we are completely happy with Dave's work. These floors and Dave's professional installation have added a lot of value to our home. We have already recommended him to friends, and we plan to have him back within 2 months to work on a bathroom remodel.
Description of Work: Dave completed a major hardwood floor installation in our home. Kitchen, laundry room, living room, foyer, hallway, and one bedroom. The work included removal of the old flooring, including carpet, old wood flooring, and 2 rooms of ceramic tile. During the project, we added on several side jobs, that we aren't handy enough to complete ourselves, including the replacement of a leaky dryer vent and rehanging a kitchen cabinet.

There was a problem with the wood flooring so we called him to come back. When we were in contact with him he never answered our last call.
Description of Work: Intalled the hardwood on our staircase.
