Hanging of the ceiling fan should not take more than 1.5 hours (according to Tom's own estimate). Despite my running to the store and getting the angled bracket for a vaulted ceiling, the fan's remote unit will not sit inside the canopy and so the wires remain exposed. The fan's manual shows that if the pitch is more than 14 degrees, the remote unit cannot be installed, so as an experienced handyman hanging fans for the last 15 years, he should have known this. Since he took over 4 hours trying to get the fan done, the other plumbing/electrical work was also not completed that day, and he wanted to charge us for a second day. I ended up getting him to come back and finish the plumbing work for free a second day but he was not happy and did not want to finish up both jobs without charging more hours. My advice - get a written cost for the project irrespective of the number of hours it takes, and don't agree to pay more than 10% higher for any unforeseen challenges. Also his rates are ridiculously high - like $70 an hour which IT professionals charge.

Tom was responsive right from the start. He came to our house to evaluate the work and provided an estimate right away. The materials were ordered, came in in about 1 week, and our railing was installed the next week within a few hours. The final price was the same as the estimate with no surprise extra costs. So happy we found a contractor that is close by and trustworthy. We will definitely work with Tom again on all future remodeling projects!

We contacted Total Home Solution to provide us with a quote to re-do our back porch. 1 week later they came out and took some pictures and told us they would contact us with a quote in about 1 week. After several weeks we never received a quote and decided to go with another contractor.

Tom arrived and took a checklist of all of the work that I needed done, even suggesting methods that might work best. We agreed on an hourly rate and he worked until everything was complete and then came back a second day to do more of the work. It was great to just walk around the house and point to things to be done and have them completed competently.

Tom responded the same day to my inquiry. He quoted me his hourly rate for the job. He arrived promptly on the appointment day. He was very courteous and explained what needed to be done. The kitchen counter needed to be cut and the plumbing under the sink needed to be completely redone to accommodate the new sink. He did a quality job and cleaned up afterwards. He was very professional and I will definitely use again for any future repairs.

Tom responded to my inquiry for service within the day. We setup a time and he arrived on his scheduled time. He installed the drywall and spread the mud within an hour. He than completed the caulking in another hour. Tom came back two more times to add additional layers of mud. I found the quality of his work to be outstanding. Many people would have only done one layer of mud, but Tom wanted to be sure the work was done correctly. He is very professional and takes great care to clean up after he is done. I would highly recommend Total Home Solution. In fact, I am planning to finish my basement in the next year and I will definitely be asking them for a quote.

It went very well. It was a two-day job. On the first day, he took out the old front door, took off the storm door, and prepared the doorway for the new door. The work involved a good deal of custom fitting for the new front door and also with the old storm door, which had to be reinstalled. Tom was patient and thorough. He made sure everything fit and looked the way it was supposed to look. He also went to the breezeway and measured for the new screens, and what he would need in supplies for that job. On the second day, which was a week later, he worked on the breezeway windows and doors. He removed the old screens. He carefully dismantled the old window mechanisms and restored them, rather than discarding them, which would have cost us a lot more. He seated one of the window panelettes, which had come part way out of its position. He measured and cut the new screening, and carefully worked with the screen tension in each of the 10 panels to make certain that each fit perfectly. He also readjusted the breezeway door latches to make for easier operation. Throughout the project he was careful to avoid doing any damage and cleaned up after himself, sometimes during the work, and especially afterward. He didn't mind having us constantly hanging around and watching him. He did really good work on both days, and we would recommend him to anyone who would need repair work.

I found Total Home Solution to be extremely professional and reliable. I am preparing my house for sale. Knowing that, this company looked over my property and recommended repairs to make it marketable. What I especially liked about Total Home Solution is that they were practical and realistic. They made recommendations and explained practical ways to fix my house. They did not try to sell me anything I did not think I needed. Example of their recommendations: they said potential buyers are looking for a nice front of the house (first impressions count), so spruce up the front of the house - power wash it, paint the front door frame, put some concrete dressing on the walkway (but no need to redo the concrete entirely). They were prompt and courteous when performing the work, and always cleaned up afterwards. They were efficient and did not waste any time (no "down" time). They always told me what they were doing so I knew what to expect. I am very satisfied with their work and highly recommend this company.

They did a good job. They were prompt and courteous. I was a bit surprised that they charged me extra after giving me the quote, but they did good. They took the carpet away and it was fine. They said there were more staples in the floor than they expected, so they charged me extra. I wanted them to do it, they did it, and I was glad.

It was a positive experience and I plan to hire them again. Tom, the proprietor, showed up when he said he was going to and explained the work that he was doing. He did a very thorough job. I didn't get any other estimates.

They were great. One technician did everything. He did beautiful work, was very courteous, and knowable. They showed up on time and cleaned up afterwards. He didn?t leave until he knew I was completely satisfied with the work.

Tom was very professional and responsive to our requests. He was prompt, efficient and his prices were very reasonable. His completed work and service of this were excellent.

Overall, I could not have been happier. From start to finish Tom found was to do things and make things happen that I could not have worked out without him. Total Home Solution takes a lot of pride in their work and is always there when we need them.

Response was timely, he showed up when he said he would, did an excellent job, cleaned up thoroughly afterward, and even took care of a few extra things he noticed needed attention while he was there. He was flexible in scheduling the work around our needs. We used to dread having to deal with contractors, but Tom was a delight, and we look forward to working with him again!

Total Home Solution came to our home to fix two rotten window sills. While they were here fixing the window sills we mentioned that we were having trouble hanging the bracket on the wall for our flat screen TV. They did not hestitate to jump in and hang the bracket for us while also hiding the wires in the wall. This saved us a lot of time and effort while ensuring that it was mounted properly. They also helped us fix an outside outlet that was not receiving electricity.

I just loved the fact that, one technician came out on time and had all the material and tools that were needed and finished the work with quality in lighting fast speed. It?s wonderful that they employee technicians that have they knowledge and talent to repair anything in a house.
