Everything was fine with the installation and all. The windows were entirely too expensive because I wanted the same manufacturer as the house and the house is built back in the early 90s. So, I could have gotten much more windows or at least another two or more windows replaced for what I paid for two windows with Tague Lumber. They were overpriced. I will use this company again in the future for lumber issues but not windows.
Description of Work: A while ago, I changed out two windows in the front bedroom and I used Tague Lumber for it.

The experience was bad. I ordered materials both for a deck and a basement project. I was told that for such projects, I should go with a lumber yard versus a big box because the quality would be better. I know that a lot of construction guys in the area use Tague. Ordering the materials was not a problem. They were very helpful and the materials arrived a few days later. Upon inspection, I found that the materials are lousy. A pretty high percentage of the wood is cracked and not usable for its intended purpose. For example, I ordered five or six 20 foot boards. I needed the full length. Only two were not fully cracked. The others are garbage. I purchased "premium" pressure treated 2x4's and they are too rough to use as railings - their intended purpose. If you look at these things, you'll likey end up with a handful of splinters. All of the lumber is incredibly wet - to the extent that water comes out when I drive srews into some of the boards. I could have gotten much better quality be hand selecting boards at home depot. And the price - I pad a 50% premium to Home Depot prices for the decking and a 20% premium on 2x4's, believing I was getting a superior product. The kicker was the drywall that I ordered. Upon inspection, it was obvious that the drywall they sent me had been sitting around somewhere in a high traffic area. It was warped, many pieces were crushed on the edges and I got 3 different brands. As bad as this stuff was, I was not going to complain about it, I was just planning to cut out the bad areas, use extra screws to flatten it on the studs and be done with it. However, the bottom piece was wrecked from a fork lift and not usable as a full sheet. I called my sales guy, Jared, and he had absolutely no intention of making the situation right - he said I needed to bring the damaged piece back to the lumber yard for them to be able to do anything. If I had a truck, I would have bought the drywall from Home Depot - since HD charges $6.00 for a sheet versus $7.75. Jared refused to do anything, even though I just dropped $2300 with them and they gave me a bunch of sub-standard product. After speaking with his manager, he did call me back and told me I would be credited for the sheet, but that does not change the fact that I've got to supplement the horrible and in some cases - unusable materials with product I'll have to buy from my local big box. This may be a great place to buy material if you are in the trades and can go out an hand pick the materials that you wish to purchase, but I am convinced that they jam customers who call in orders with the damaged junk that they cannot otherwise sell to tradespeople.
Description of Work: I ordered materials for a deck project, as well as drywall for a basement project.
