Description of Work: I have used this firm for over 15 years without problem. Something odd is going on as they do not answer their phones and they have not shown up in over one month. I have been a bi-weekly customer and am very frustrated! I cannot find info online as to what might have happened to this business. I have only been able to find the name Tina Hertz as the business owner. Does anyone know anything about this company?

Twice we took all the steps to ready the house for the regular visit of Suburban Housecleaning. Twice its employees failed to show up. And each of our numerous calls to its office are not answered or even shunted over to voice mail.
Description of Work: Suburban Housecleaning had been cleaning our house for years. Its employees did a tolerable job, with occasional lapses (such as missing sweeping the floor in the kitchen). The price was competitive. Now, all of a sudden, the company has failed to appear on two work dates (July 11 and 18) and no one answers its phone at its office. It looks as if it has just shut down without even notifying its customers. It's probably a moot point to not recommend that anyone use this company because Suburban Housecleaning appears to have shut down without so much as a word of warning or an announcement of closing.

During my last cleaning, an antique coffee table was damaged during dusting. I noticed it immediately after the crew left. No one came forward to admit to the damage, and when I tried to call the company, no one answered the phone. No voice mail either, so I was unable to contact the company at all, which was highly unusual. Normally, phone calls are answered, so I got the impression that the owner was trying to avoid dealing with this expensive damage issue. In frustration, I sent a letter to the company with pictures of damage and asked for someone to call and discuss the matter. Even though I have been a client of this company for years, no one had the courtesy to call and own up to the damage. Needless to say, I will never use their services again, nor would I recommend them to anyone else.
Description of Work: Bi-weekly cleanings of my house. I have been a client of Suburban Housecleaning for years.
