I wanted to update the window treatments in my condo. I contacted John Laye because of the high marks he and his business have received here on Angie's List, and I wasn't disappointed. John arrived punctually at the scheduled time and showed me several options for new custom blinds and valances, giving me quality advice without being pushy. After I made my choices, he checked availability with his suppliers and worked up an estimate on the spot. John and his helper returned to install the new treatments right on schedule in a clean and fully professional manner. I gladly recommend without reservation this quality oriented and very professional company.

After calling, an appointment was set up to pick out fabric. Next the man who makes the slipcovers came to fit the furniture once our material came in. A few weeks later a separate employee came to put on our beautiful new slipcovers and tell us about the care instructions.

I contacted John first by email to ensure that he provided service to my area. He replied the same day, confirming that he did. We then spoke by phone and arranged a time for his visit. John took the time to ask me questions to get an understanding of our tastes and preferences in order to guide him to bring the fabrics most likely to meet our interest. He arrived punctually, was very courteous and professional, and we immediately established a rapport. He provided a quote by email, we agreed, and within a couple of days he returned with another person to pick up the furniture. He promised to have the job done in 3 weeks, but his upholsterer completed the job in 2.5. We arranged a time to return the furniture, and we are ecstatic with the work! The result exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely call John again. I highly recommend him!

We selected Robert Rosen Interiors after searching Angie's List and getting estimates from 4 firms. The sofa is beautiful - looks brand new. John Lyle was very helpful in selecting the fabric and color. Final selection enhanced the room. John Lyle was prompt in meeting with us and mindful of our schedule. He kept us informed of the progress and finished the sofa in a timely manner. After seeing Robert Rosen Interiors work with our sofa, we asked John to reupholster two 1950's wing back chairs (in work). Overall, we are very satisfied. Update 10/23/2012: Chairs were just delivered and wife really likes the results. I'm happy also - same great results as with the sofa.

John from Rosen's is extremely professional and knowledgable in upholstering and draperies. I used them for both services and the workmanship, attention to detail, as well as customer service is outstanding. I was originally considering buying Hunter Douglas Silhouettes to go on windows in my living and dining rooms. I called Rosen Interiors for a quote, left a message and received a return call on the same day. John came out to my house within a few days of our initial call, brought product samples, took measurements and gave me an approximate cost. The estimate for Hunter Douglas was over $3000 which was more than I was willing to spend. John came up with an alternative which was to put sheers on instead. This addressed my wish to cut down on glare and the cost for this option was $2000 less. I really appreciate that John was more interested in providing a product to meet my needs at a reasonable price. I placed the order, the sheers were delivered and installed three weeks later. I then had John come out to re-upholster a seat and back cushion for a rocking chair and make a matching bolster in fabric I had purchased. I recently bought a sofa and loveseat and knew I wanted to re-upholster the rocking chair to match, so I purchased fabric from the sofa manufacturer. The turn around was again three weeks and the upholstery is impeccable. John put in new foam for the seat cushion and when he brought it back, it was a little thick, so he came back to pick it up. When it came back the second time it was still a little thick so he took it back, returned it one more time and it was perfect. You just don't find this attention to detail and customer service. The most recent service with Rosen was a custom treatment for a triple window. John came out with fabric and pole samples, took measurements and provided an estimate. He ordered a fabric sample from the manufacturer which was mailed to my home. It wasn't what I was looking for, so John came out again with more fabrics and this time I found the perfect one. The drapes are stunning and the quality of the workmanship is exceptional. I'm a very detailed customer with high expectations who has worked with interior decorators for over 10 years. Rosen's has exceeded all of my expectations in every area. Thank you John for everything you've done to make these projects so enjoyable!

.John returned my call prmptly and was at my home for an estimate within two days. He then brought back fabrics and we were easily able to select appropriate ones for the chairs, John was professional and helpful and knows his products extremely well. I enjoyed working with him. He came and collected the chairs on the day he said he would, arriving promptly. All the work was completd within two weeks as promised and the result sare beautiful. I did not rate the price because I was so impressed with him and his service that I did not get other estimates, primarily because he was so highly recommended on Angle's list.

We were wanting to reupholster a sofa and a love seat prior to a move from the Media, and were we glad that we did with Robert Rosen Interiors. It was convenient to have John come to our home with his samples. All of his selections were high quality and beautiful. He had consulted with me on the phone prior to coming, and brought fabrics that were appropriate for our project. The end product was exactly what we wanted, and the workmanship was excellent. No puckers anywhere. Nice and tight. John offered us slip covers, which would be less expensive, but we wanted to upholster. It's a great way to give finer furniture another life.

John responded almost immediately to my inquiry and came within 2 days to give an estimate. He had tons of fabric samples with him and helped me choose what would look best in my dining room. He promised to have the chairs picked up a few days later. The gentleman arrived when promised and was very cordial. The chairs were returned within 2 weeks, as promised, and the job was completed beautifully. One chairs needed structural repair, but John decided to reinforce all of the chairs "just in case." I highly recommend this company and will certainly be using them again.

The end products were beyond our expectations for the upholstery and window treatment. They listened to what we wanted for the end product. They offered some good suggestions, but quickly understoon that we knew what we wanted. ( We have been restoring and re decorating an 1840's house in Bucks County for twenty years) We did not have to fight about what we wanted to do. The agreed upon delivery dates were held to the day. The installation of the window treatments was done very quickly and very professionally. No fuss and no bother. The attitude and corgiality of the people was beyond reasonable expectations. With all of these very favoravble factors, their pricing was slightly below the other alternative suppliers we considered. In fact, we would have paid them a premium if we knew they were going to be so good.

We called Robert Rosen to get an estimate for window treatments. They came out promptly and spent time discussing options. We originally planned on mini blinds as the room was informal in setting and has many windows overlooking our back yard. Room included a sliding glass door. Due to,the nature of the room, window treatments will be frequently opened and closed. We were presented with an alternative of cordless honeycomb shades, which at the time, seemed an attractive alternatIve, so we got an estimate. In the cong days, we thought about the use of the roOm and the frequency of the opening and closing of the shades. We determined that, in hindsight, they would not work, especially at the sliding door that would be constantly opened and closed. We called back and explained we changed our mind and wanted to,get an estimate for mini blinds and a luminette forthe sliding door. We were told that they really have not sold any mini blinds in 10 years and that they did not want to really get involved with the luminette. Unfortunately, they had the sale up to that point but talked themselves out of the job. I am a firm believer in the customer is always right but we were Made to feel as if we were committing the ultimate sin in decorating. As explained above, the room will be "active" and to go,around lifting every blind on the honeycombs shades versus just opening the binds, was not,consistent with the intended activity. I have never experienced such a situation where a company, essentially, declined to do a job because THEY did not agree with a customers preference.

The drapes in the living room were starting to really really look tired and faded. They were covered in cat hair and just looked embarrassing. They were a dark blue and heavy looking, and they were blocking a lot of light from coming in...yuck. I called Rosen Interiors, they called right back and we set up an appointment for an estimate. John Laye, the interior designer, was very professional and knew right away what to do. He suggested shear, off white drapes and I have to say, what a difference it's making!! I didn't know that much light came into my living room. Before the window treatment, we didn't have any drapes in the dining room and wow, how beautiful! It pulls it all together for both of the rooms. Thank you, John!

I needed a change in my living room desperately. I realized that my living room was a "flower" explosion and needed some taming. I called Rosen Interiors, they called right back and we set up an appointment. John Laye was wonderful, he knew right away what to do. He picked out colors from the area carpet and selected this beautiful solid color for the chairs, like a burgundy color. And then a brown/chocolate paisley pattern for the sofa. I have to say it was different than what I was thinking but it totally works. It took a little adjusting to the difference but WOW! I really really love it. The material for the slip covers is wonderful to the touch and it's also washable and stain-resistant.

From the consult/estimate appointment to the measuring and installation of our window treatments, this company was extremely professional, prompt and courteous. When I was unsure of a few options for older windows, John Laye was a huge help offering suggestions within my budget. I am so pleased with every window that they did that I will definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to anyone in need of their services. Thank you! :)

This is a great company that I wouold reccomend to my friends and family. I'll be contacting them for any future needs. The work was completed in a reasonale amount of time and everything came back beautiful. The quality of work exceeded my expactations. All of the pieces that had been re-upholstered were my grandparents and are about 60 years old. Because of thier sentimental value I was pretty nervous about getting them

After initial phone call, John came to our house (several times, and each time with several new samples). He helped narrow down the selection to the perfect window treatment for our room. After deciding, the treatments were promptly made and installed. Nothing short of the highest professional standards. Similar experience for cushions.

Job was perfect even with the challenge of lining up strips. Professional-- less expensive then others and followed up to ensure everything was done to our satisfaction.Would use again without any hesitation.

Effortless process. One visit to measure and provide estimate, second visit to confirm measurements, and a couple of visits to install, as a piece was missing. I did not compare prices. John is very professional. He has a lot of stories to tell, so be prepared to spend some time!

John was extremely courteous and professional. We never felt any upselling pressure. On the day of delivery, one of the blinds was found to be defective - John quickly placed a replacement order and had another blind installed within a few days. Highly recommended!
