Owen has very skilled and knowledgeable workers. He brought in a bricklayer and a guy skilled in working with concrete blocks. Owen did all the gutter work and constructed and installed the lattice panels. (The house is a 130 year old Victorian with a lot of roof. He had to go up fairly high to reach the top-most gutters.) All 3 of them worked on the driveway which is 150 feet long and had never been blacktopped. It was overgrown with grass, weeds and other stuff. You couldn't see where the edges were. He cleaned away all the overgrowth right back to the edges, gaining several inches of driveway which had been covered over. Then he power washed the driveway and spread the blacktop. While this was going on the bricklayer was preparing the ground, measuring and mixing mortar. She checked the level every few bricks. She ran into a problem which required a consultation with me. We came up with a solution and she continued with the job. After much of the wall was built I didn't like the way it looked - it needed another layer of bricks and it also needed to be extended. After I told her about the changes she went right to work. Several of my neighors passed by while the people were working and engaged them in conversation. I have gotten quite a few comments on how nice the blacktop and wall look.

His price was very reasonable and he had creative suggestions for keeping the cost low while still delivering a quality product.

Owen has been working for me for 25 years. He has done exterior painting (whole house) and carpentry (rebuilding a porch.) Also interior work - replacing kIitchen and bathroom floors and also recommending a plumber to replace bathroom fixtures.I would not hire him if I didn't like his work and work ethic. He is eager to please and always mindful of cost - often making suggestions as to how to reduce costs. He finishes the jobs on time and always carefully cleans up when the job is done. I have recommended him to others and from what I hear from them, they are also pleased with his work.

He did a few minor repairs on it and he did it well. He is easy going, but he does a good job. We found him to stay within his estimated cost as he projected them. He consulted with us regularly on changes. He came on time. His prices were reasonable. He is a good professional painter and handyman.

I had several estimates and his was the lowest. He has a small operation and he is very laid back. He is easy to deal with. He showed up at the time he said he would and is neat and clean.
