Our Home Cleaning Service

We have been using OHCS for several years now and love them. Stephen is always prompt and punctual and leaves both our home and office in great condition. We prefer that no one wears their shoes into our home so Stephen brings a set of slippers to wear while he cleans. We had used several other services in the past and are quite happy with OHCS and our twice monthly service!

My email request for a quote to Our Home Cleaning Service was posted as a review WITH AN F RATING! How could I possibly give an F rating if I didn't secure their services? I am sincerely sorry if their reputation was impugned, whomever is at fault, because it was not deserved. Check my 19 other service reviews and you'll see I give very detailed appraisals.

We have been customers of Our Home Cleaning Service for about a year and a half, using their services twice a month. Stephen has been a wonderful help. He has been punctual, cheery to have around, and has helped us in a number of ways--helping us to move heavy objects--as well as doing a fine job cleaning the house. We are very pleased with this company and would recommend it without hesitation.

Jim Burns, the owner, came with an efficient crew and cleaned all our windows, storm windows and screens--both interior and exterior. We have many windows and they were quite dirty. The crew, with Jim working alongside them, finished the entire job in one day. Everything sparkled when they were done and we do not hesitate to recommend this company. We will certainly use them in the future.

I've been using Our Home Cleaning for several years now. During that time, we've had maybe 3 different people. All have been very professional. Some have cleaned better than others, but if you tell them what they've missed, they will be sure to catch it next time. I can't say enough good things about Rachel Byrne, the owner. When we were not satisfied with one of the cleaning people she sent, she immediately came over and cleaned our house herself.

Rachel Burns (the owner) is very professional and provides a cleaner to meet my needs. She always calls me ahead of time if there is any issue with the assigned cleaner arriving on time, and often fills in herself if needed. She is an excellent cleaner and trains her cleaners to meet her standards. I usually have my upstairs cleaned one week, with the downstairs cleaned the next, except for the bathrooms, which are cleaned every week. As an example of flexibility, I requested that the outside of my kitchen cabinets be cleaned, which was a very big job. On another occasion, I requested help bringing all my Christmas decorations downstairs from my attic. They are willing to do any job that they can physically handle. The cleaners are all very nice and polite and trustworthy. I have had cleaning services before where a team of about 4 cleaners take over my house for an hour, but do the same once-over cleaning every time. Our Home is exactly what I was looking for!

I would say the service was okay. They were very professional and responsive, but as it seems to be the case with most cleaning companies I've encountered, they became more careless in the cleanings as time went on. I started seeing corners being cut and felt I wasn't really getting what I paid for after a few months. I will say that they always responded appropriately when I raised this concern, but I don't have the time to keep following up on a cleaning service and ultimately had to look elsewhere.

I'm using their service now and find them to be professional.

I called a day before and they were able to have someone help me the next day. He did everything I asked. We worked together for the most part. He was energetic, had good ideas, and was careful. A very good experience. He was there for four hours. He dusted, vacuumed, took out trash, made bed, removed bed linen, moved a lot of items downstairs for owner to sort, and washed off some furniture. He was also very nice.

Very efficient and effective cleaning that I use every month.

She told me she had multiple people working under her. She came out for an estimate and said only one person could do it in four hours. I've had two people come to clean the house before. I know one person for four hours could not manage the entire house in one day. I had to provide my own materials She was rather rude, abrupt, and snippy. She also said she would call me back yesterday with an answer and she did not. I will not be using her.

Both services did a very good job. I was pleased that Rachel completed everything I requested, including wiping down closet shelves, cabinets, etc. It was a relief to have the house clean before our things arrived with the moving truck, especially since we had had the floors refinished and the prior owner was not the best housekeeper.

I have used this service for the past year. They are usually prompt, showing up when they say and calling me if they will be late. I have had a number of different employees, each one professional and efficient. My house is clean and dust-free when they leave.

Using Our Home has always been a good experience. We have had the same person cleaning our house for almost 15 years and he's like part of the family. The service is very professional, totally responsive to needs and familiar with what we like and don't like as far as service goes. And the biggest plus is they are very flexible.

I use Our Home twice a month. I found them on Angie's List and have been using them for 9 months and am just delighted with the quality and service of their work. They are quick, professional, kind and very thoughtful. They straighten up the little things and pay attention to the details. They let me know when I'm running low on supplies. They never rearrange anything important, and my place is always spotless when I get home. I love that I can trust them to come in while I'm at work, do a great job, and come home to a lovely clean house. Definitely a find!

After difficulty contacting them and setting up an appointment to schedule a quote, I decided to go with OHCS due to their prices and availablity. The cleaning service was done well, and the provider, Bay, took direction well and was pleasant to work with. I have had dififculty being in touch with the agency owner though. She does not email or text. I would reccomend this agency to others, with the caveat that getting in touch will be difficult, but after that phase, you will not have a problem with the reliability of the service.

From beginning to end, a total pleasure to work with Rachel and her small crew of two. First, Rachel came promptly to see the job and give me a quote; her people came promptly to do the work, on the day I requested; they brought the right equipment and products for the job; they were thorough, professional, and pleasant; and Rachel herself came for the last few hours and made sure everything was done well. And if that wasn't enough, her price came in a little lower than her quote! "I just charged you for the time it took," she said. Fabulous job, and worth every penny.

Rachel's crew of two did an amazing job of preparing our home for a big and very important party. They were so efficient and professional in their approach that a great many more chores were accomplished than I anticipated could be done in the time allotted. I couldn't have been more pleased and will definitely call no one but Our Home for all my cleaning needs in the future.

Her name is Rachel and she's terrific. I called several people but they were either too expensive or didn't call me back. Rachel wasn't too expensive and she's terrific. I pay her $100 for her services. She got right back to me. She came over and did an estimate. She turned up on time. She was very quick, very efficient and very anxious to please. She's very effective with her cleaning. The house is much cleaner than it was with my last person. She wasn't the most expensive in terms of price. I will absolutely use her services again in the future. I plan to use her every two weeks.

Although there were some initial delays in communication, we've been really pleased overall. The price is slightly higher than some other companies we've worked with in the past, but the two cleanings we have had so far have been extremely thorough. We were able to reduce costs by negotiating that certain services be done only monthly instead of every other week, and the team has been using our cleaning supplies, which also helped to cut costs. We definitely plan to continue working with this company.

Very well. I am expecting their second visit in a couple days.
