We were left with a home that became worthless in a matter of seconds. There were 26 out of 26 rafters that were not connected to the common beam in the attic (twin home). And when we found that our home was structurally unsound after 2 months of living in it his first call was to (his words) his friend the home inspector. This friend he still uses as his home inspector of choice. You will not be at the top of Mr. Adams priority list.
Description of Work: Mr Adams was our real estate agent (for the 3rd time). He was hard to get in touch with and often didn't return messages. He took credit for finding properties when we were the the active participants ( the other 2 houses were our finds also). He was informed by the title company that there was an outstanding violation on the house but neglected to tell us.

Response from Keller Williams Real Estate • Carl Adams Homes
Just left a listing appointment and was asked to describe what was the worst experience in my [Member Information Removed] years as an agent and told them that I had a past client who's house almost collapsed after they moved in and what an awful situation it was. No one should have to go through the entire house renovation that you went through. I also told the client it was understandable the past clients seemingly "hates" anyone involved in this nightmare, which would be understandable. They send me an email or facebook every year on the anniversary of the sale to remind me it was the worst day of their life. But lets fill in some blanks shall we. The client had the option of hiring any home inspector not mine and I was asked to provide one. The inspector almost 4 years later is still indeed recommended and has successfully completed 100's of inspections in that time frame. It should also be noted that inspector remains in good standing in his respective boards. There was indeed a violation that was found at settlement and remedied at settlement when the seller paid the city for his missing permit. You also conveniently left out that the real damage was hidden behind the dry wall, below the bathroom floor and in the wall that was moved several inches in the kitchen, all of which could not be visualized by anyone since it was behind walls. You also seemed to have missed the part where your attorney requested I testify on your behalf at a deposition, which I did. I believe, unless I'm mistaken that helped move your case for damages forward. I believe your case settled didn't it? Communication failure. Guess I need to own that. I don't answer my cell phone during my children's band concert, the same way I didn't take calls when I was with you. Guess I wasn't quick enough when you snapped your fingers to respond. I do apologize, when I came up that night and yes it was after the band concert, and after I drove my epileptic wife and kids home I told you I would call my structural engineer and I acknowledge publicly he did not get back to you the next morning as he was being treated for terminal colon cancer (sorry didn't know he was sick or would die shortly). That was about the time you stopped taking calls and responding right? As I said in the beginning. No one, should have to go through the experience you went through. The house you purchased was in beautiful, move-in condition. To have it nearly collapse and be ripped apart for months and to have to pay for that out of pocket up front and live through it is a nightmare. Perhaps Angie's list will allow professionals to rate the clients that use them. How do you think you would score?
