the cost estimate was broken down by room which was helpful. The timing estimate was correct both in start-date and length of the job. The cleanliness was great - no paint anywhere it shouldn't be, and my house was returned as it was before dropcloths / moving. the work quality was high - no missed spots, and the cuts at color changes and the ceiling were perfect.

I have been using Greg for interior painting and wall papering for over 21 years and in two separate homes! Sometimes he may work with another painter, and the painters he brings are skilled and polite. Greg not only does a professional job, but he is very skilled at selecting/mixing the right color and/or the proper color for moldings or ceilings that compliment your paint selection. When I tried out a cheaper painter (just once) I realized that if you want a professional and polished job you need a professional painter!

He did respond quickly and gave the estimate quickly but it took awhile to get an appointment due to his busy schedule. Once he arrived he was very professional, nice and quality of work was excellent. His prices are a little high but worth the peace of mind and quality of work.

Greg came out soon after I called him to see what we wanted to have done and was very prompt about getting an estimate to us. Greg's estimate was the middle of the three I had for this job but he had a more detailed proposal and was more prompt about returning calls and more reliable about keeping appointments than the other two and that was more important to me. Greg did the prep work himself and had another man do the actual painting. The man - I believe his name was John - who did the actual painting was respectful of our house and when he left at the end of a day, everything was clean and put away. And he did a great job with the actual painting.! I would not hesitate recommend Greg to friends or to have come back to do painting at our house again.

It went well. Greg had suggestions for color, was always punctual, and cleaned up the work area once finished.

Greg and his helper worked quickly and well, painting our dining room, hall and upstairs bathroom. They were neat and quick, and the paint job looks great.

This was the second time I used Greg and he was as professional as ever. It was a great value and a great finished product.

Greg removed old wallpaper that had been guled on top. He started on time (from his estimate) and was very clean and neat as he came a coulple of days a week. He finished on time and in budget. He was pleasant to have around and worked very efficiently.

Greg made the whole process from the initial quote to the final day of work as easy as possible.

Greg and his friend did a great job fixing the drywall after we took down the wallpaper in the kitchen and laundry room. They then painted the kitchen, laundry room, and guest bathroom. They were prompt, professional, clean, and advised us on the color selection for each room. They even took down long curtains in the high-ceiling living room at no extra charge. Overall, we were very satisfied with their service, and plan to use their services again in the future.

Greg came to the house at our specified time to give an estimate; he sent a detailed proposal within two days; his price was within range of another estimate, and we set a work date within two weeks. He came with one assistant; completed the work within three consecutive business days; protected all furniture and floors, mirrors, and bathroom fixtures. He responded agreeably and professionally to adjustments in paint color; and promptly corrected identified surface imperfections. Both Greg and Dan worked quietly, respectfully, and efficiently. In the end they left no trace of disruption and 2 beautifully painted rooms. I recommend Greg's interior painting work.

Got Greg's name and recommendation from this site. He was very responsive to calls. He and another highly recommended painter gave me estimates. I chose Greg because he was slightly cheaper but could work me into his schedule quicker. Very punctual and came over when expected. His painting was very, very good, no problems there. The patching of the drywall was marginal. I can't complain, but it's really easy to see where it was patched. That was my first experience, which was overall solid. Second experience, not so much. I had Greg come back to repair some water damage from a leaky pipe. He took a look and said he was really busy so the estimate wouldn't be there until next week.... fine, no problem. A.most a week after that, is when I got his "estimate". The estimate was I cannot do the work because I don't feel comfortable adding the access panel you requested.... Huh, why not tell me that in the first place? And it's an access panel... glue it in and paint over it. The next contractor I had give me a quote didn't even blink when I told him about the panel. After that, I doubt I'll probably not be using Greg again. I won't tell you not to use Greg, just that I won't be.

Great experience and a pleasure to have around! From start to finish, Greg and John were punctual and always took the time to carefully cover furniture and flooring before work began. They used their time efficiently and cleaned up every day. Greg helped me with my paint selections and always made sure I was satisfied with the progress that was made. If I had a concern, he addressed it immediately! Customer satisfaction is Greg's #1 priority. My husband and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the work that was done. From the start Greg delivered on his word. He showed up on time to give me his estimate. He measured carefully and talked to me about the scope of the job. Greg took his information to his office to write up the estimate. Greg sends his estimates thru traditional US mail that took an extra day or so but it was thorough and complete. I had gotten 2 other estimates that I didn't feel were as complete as his. One contactor failed to show up all together. Greg gave me an accurate estimate of when he thought he would be able to start the job and called me on the day he predicted to confirm when my job would start. Greg and his employee John were punctual arriving exactly when they said they would. The immediately started to work putting down drop clothes and trying to protect my home from damage. John and Greg did a fantastic job removing the old glue and remnants of wallpaper. Even before they painted it looked 1000 times better. Greg was helpful while we discussed paint colors and very understanding/patient with us while we made our last minute color decision. Once they actually started to paint they were swift and efficient. We are very pleased with the results. Greg did not require any payment up front but asked for 1/2 once the job was 1/2 completed. He had mentioned this before (in the quote) and it was very fair. The balance was paid upon completion. After the job was done I noticed an area that didn't come out as I expected (some marks from where the wallpaper was removed, not by them). It was hard to see this area at the time due to lighting but when I called Greg he said he'd fix it. He stopped back on the day he promised and made it right. Overall I am very pleased with their work and would strongly recommend them to anyone. I have 15 years experience working in operations and have dealt with many contractors. Not only did Greg and John do a nice job but they were friendly and easy to deal with. Both were very engaging with my two you children and I felt comfortable leaving them alone to do their job. I decided to call Greg because of his great reviews here on Angie's List. After getting 3 estimates, Greg offered me the best price, so I went with him. The work turned out great and he was flexible, personable and professional. I would recommend him to anyone.

I contacted Greg based upon his company's reviews on Angie's list. He came out to look at the job and estimated the cost. In less than a week Greg provided me with a written estimate and a tentative start date. Aside from Greg I obtained three other estimates. I decided to go with Stahl because the estimate was in line with what I thought the project should cost, his company's reviews on Angie's list, and the Angie's list discount provided by Stahl Interiors for first time clients, which was significant. The job consisted of drywall patching and repairs, and painting of Kitchen, Dining room, Living room with 18ft. ceilings, bedroom, stairway, and hallway. Greg and his helper John did all the Drywall patching the first day which involved mostly superficial cracks and nail holes, except for the bedroom where a patch was needed. Next came the painting...Although we had tentatively picked some paint colors, Greg provided his expertise, and by doing so helped us decide on colors that created a "flow". The entire job went without a problem. We are very satisfied with the work Greg and John completed. At the end of each day the work area was cleaned up and Ladders etc. stored outside the house. Greg is knowledgable and skilled at his craft and it shows in his workmanship. He goes out of his way to ensure the customer is satisfied. It it seldom the case that having a contractor in your house all day is a positive, but Greg and John were actually quite pleasant to have around. Our experience with Stahl Painting was outstanding from start to finish.

Our house is older, and has plaster walls. Greg and his worker John did a wonderful job. He always answered all my questions and was very helpful with my final color choice. I was very pleased that I went with Greg's choices! Greg is a great painter and pays attention to detail. This is the first time having a professional painter in our home and he was great with our dog as well, which is a huge plus!

We had purchased a house and wanted the work done before we moved in. Greg estimated about a week before, gave us advice and fitted in to our time frame. Greg completed the work in two days. We were very pleased with the quality and professionalism of the work. It was a real pleasure to have Greg and his employee in the house. Mr. Stahl was very professional, thoughtful, and kind throughout our entire interaction with him. We were trying to set up when he could come in to patch the walls and start painting. We had a "hard" date that he needed to be finished his painting by January 8th as that's when we were installing our carpeting. When we had to move back our first start date (our fault given that family was coming in for the Holidays), Mr. Stahl was very accommodating, moved back the start date, and still got the job done in time. The workmanship is absolutely superb. We used another painter for some of our other rooms 3 years back and both my husband and I remarked how much better Mr. Stahls' work was over the first painter we hired. We are so impressed with what he did for us, that we are asking him to come back to work on two more rooms for us. His rate is also very reasonable as we priced him against 2 other painters. In the end, we are very satisfied and pleased with the work he did for us. I highly recommend him.

Overall this was a very happy experience re the quality, time it took, and price.

We contracted with Greg to paint our living room, dining room, stair and hall including all woodwork. It was the first time we hired painters. We were having new furniture delivered for our dining room, and had procrastinated in making a decision to hire someone so I was worried it wouldn't be finished in time. Greg could not have been more accommodating in scheduling us with short notice and he color-matched a shade I wanted for our living room. He and his assistant completed the job in record time and we are thrilled with the results. They were very clean and tidy.

Greg is very personable and professional. Responded to initial phone call quickly, came out to view the job and I received the written estimate a couple of days later. Scheduled work to fit in with my timetable. Very easy to have around, completed job in timely manner, cleaned up well. Good quality work-we will be using again.
