They are very neat and professional. I like the way they prepare their area of work before they commence cleaning.

We had an initial chimney cleaning done, which was professional and efficient. Greg, the technician was friendly, tidy, answered all questions and left literature for additional explanation (we kept getting smoke in the house). He also checked the furnace flue and found a great deal of sediment caused by a new furnace connected poorly to the old, too large furnace flue. The cost for the new (two story) furnace flue reline on top of the cleaning was $2000 and was outlined in a full written proposal/contract. That work was done on a different day (a whole day job). I involved setting up a scaffolding on the roof to reach the top of the chimney. I don't know if the price was high, but everyone from Ginger who sets up the appointments to Greg and the other technician were prompt and professional and thorough. They answer the phone, or call back promptly and confirm appointments. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I originally called Chimney Cricket to get my fireplace and heater chimneys swept and inspected. They found the problems described above. Phil did an excellent job of explaining the problems and the dangers they posed. After he left, he was willing to re-explain the problems over the phone to my boyfriend, and he suggested ways that we could stay safe and warm until getting the heater flue fixed. After getting the estimate for the work, I called a couple of other chimney repair people to get a sense of the price. The prices quoted above were towards the top end of the ranges that the other companies gave. I decided to go with Chimney Cricket, rather than pay for a second estimate and possibly get the same or higher price. Chimney Cricket was on time to do the repair. They cleaned up well and were considerate.

Scheduling work initially took some effort. We were told that we were not in their area of servicing, but when we mentioned that we got their name from Angie's List they were willing to do the work.

Technician showed up on-time. He was friendly and professional. Explained the condition of my chimney and fireplace and told me to have it cleaned only every 2 or 3 years because of our light use.

AWESOME! They were on time and performed the work exactly as advertised and for precisely the estimated cost. We would definitely hire them again.

When I called, their secretary was very helpful in explaining things to me, including what a ''flue'' is/does. They were thorough and honest with me about the extent of the work that has to be done and did not try to gouge me with the price. When I called them a few weeks ago to follow up, Phil was willing to come back out to show me what he had done. They take their work very seriously! I would hire them again, but I do not have a chimney in my new place.

Yikes, the elevator broke the day the sweep came. Usually, very heavy equipment is needed to clean chimneys but there was no way he was going to be able to carry the machinery up 4 flights of stairs. Instead, the sweep figured out a way to clean the chimney with more portable equipment even though it was a particularly big job due to the fact that the previous owners had neglected to have the chimney swept in the past 9 years. The sweep was professional, understanding of the situation, pleasant, and thorough in his work. We need to have the damper repaired and I will certainly call them to do the work. Hopefully the elevator will be working that day.

This company made an appointment to give us an estimate and no one called, returned our calls or showed up.

The service tech, Greg was great. He gave me a detailed report on both of my chimneys with excellent recommendations to alleviate the problems I have. Both chimneys have heaved over and need significant repairs. I plan on working with them to re-line my main chimney after upgrading our boiler. Very pleasant experience and highly recommended.

Phil was very thorough, reviewing everything with us, including digital pictures and emailing us a detailed report shortly thereafter. The chimney sweep was extremely polite, professional, and clean. The job was done efficiently.

The company was very professional, friendly, and accommodating. I called and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. The technician arrived right on time and gave what seemed to be a very honest assessment of the chimney. He pointed out some problems with previous work but said they did not need to be tended to right now and could wait at least a couple of years. He seemed to be interested in doing a good job rather than finding things to charge me for. I was very pleased with the company.

PHIL WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS. HE DID NOT RUSH AND I FELT HE PERFORMED THE INSPECTION THOROUGHLY. HE MADE SURE I COULD SEE AND UNDERSTAND THE REPAIRS HE WAS RECOMMENDING. HE ALSO FIXED THE DAMPER, WHICH WE WERE TOLD HAD TO BE REPLACED BY ANOTHER COMPANY, FOR ONLY $10.

THE RECEPTIONIST WAS VERY NICE AS WAS THE CHIMNEY SWEEP. HE WAS COURTEOUS, EFFICIENT AND CLEAN. THEY PROMISED A WRITTEN REPORT AND PICTURES. THESE WERE NEVER RECEIVED DESPITE SEVERAL CALLS TO THE COMPANY. WE ALSO NEEDED A CAP PUT ON OUR CHIMNEY TO KEEP ANIMALS OUT. I CALLED SEVERAL TIMES AND THE SERVICEMAN NEVER CALLED BACK.

GOOD EXPERIENCE, PUNCTUAL, MET ALL MY EXPECTATIONS. PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS.
