I can't speak more highly of the professional work habits, knowledge, and honesty that Joe provides. Scientific Air was 1 of 6 companies that I consulted with on the addition and installation of a 5-Zone Mini-Split HVAC System in my 1890s ductless home. Joe spent the time to discuss my wants and needs along with the various options to install the most efficient and hopefully trouble-free system more than any of the other companies. The layout of my home certainly made this install a challenge, but after a week-long install the outcome couldn't have been better. Unlike all of the other companies I spoke with, Joe is not tied to any one specific brand of equipment or trying to push the hard sell for upgrades. He is knowledgeable of all brands and will discuss the pros and cons of each, make his recommendations, and allow you to decide which unit(s) are best for your home. Joe and Scientific Air truly earned a solid 5-Star rating.

Joe came highly recommended, but late in the game, so we didn't hesitate to call his company right away. It was a very good decision. Our house is small, so we just needed a small unit, and just as others had suggested, the topic turned from a/c to heat pump. The price was very reasonable, so after plenty of Q&A we decided on a heat pump. Joe told us how he works, previewed the job area, and gathered up all the materials, including extra duct work to improve airflow throughout the house. You could just see the effort and quality of his work. He was very responsive and considerate to some special needs at the house too. Highly professional and detail oriented, I do not hesitate to recommend Joe Kohn and Scientific Air.

Scientific Joe was WONDERFUL! He came when he said he would, did what he said he would do. Measured and figured out a very complicated duct work system that put a minimum of impact on existing living space in our old house. He stayed late to work (with our permission, of course). And we paid what he asked for. I would definitely have him back to do more work or to advise us on additional projects!

My 11 year old gas furnace was not working. I got several estimates. After several different contractors gave the same conclusion that I needed a new unit, I did some research.
