Joe did an excellent job, in addition to replacing the wooden deck floor and rails with composite and vinyl he reinforced the base structure bring it up to code. Joe took extra care measuring before cutting which given the price of composite was greatly appreciated. I have not fully inspected the repair to the siding but from ground level it looks OK and if he took the same care with the siding as he did with the deck there should be no further problems with the siding - Joe was repairing a section of siding that had been supposedly repaired by another individual. problem. Although I fully expected to have to wait to have the work done later in the year when it was a bit warmer, Joe chose to do the work in what I would consider adverse condition, specifically, air temp < 40 and wind chills in the 20's. I am happy with Joe's work and have already passed his contact information on to a co-worker that needs work done on a deck.

Joe was by far the most cost effective option. He began work immediately and worked hard throughout the whole project. Though it is just him work was completed in a timely manner. We weren't working from an exact plan and occasionally minor details were different than we thought. Joe worked with us on those details to make sure we got what we wanted. Overall Joe did a really good job for the price. Issues that came up were settled quickly. He was great with our kids and dogs. We recommend him for your job. Just make sure you know exactly what you want and have a plan.

Horrible. Unable to remember discussions. Didn't do things I asked. Did things I didn't ask or specifically said not to do. Work sloppy. Worst of all he was working while I was on vacation and decided to sleep on my couch without my permission. My friend found him because she stopped to water my plants. He feels he did nothing wrong and even after I told him to leave he ignored me and stayed.

It was pretty bad. Update, 7/31/17: I continue to receive threats from this business owner and it's now a bit perplexing - on top of being a little disconcerting. I've never experienced anything like it, but I have contacted the local police and I will continue to pursue all legal remedies. I'd advise anyone dealing with this business to think better of it and look for an alternative!

Everything went great. Joe was awesome. Easy to work with, patient with a client who had his own ideas on how it should be done. (Me) . He never quibbled about us adding or subtracting part of the jobs, and he didn't stop working to "requote" if I did add a task. He knew which jobs were going to be more work than I assumed it was. He made money saving suggestions. And when I did casually mention another task, he took care of it without me realizing he did it. Finally, when all was done, the Mrs. told me I had chosen the wrong paint for the bathroom. Joe came back on Sunday and repainted it. How's that for ensuring customer satisfaction? Joe was, beyond a doubt, the best maintenance/ service/ technician/ contractor type of guy we've ever hired, or had in our home. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

I am thrilled with the results, it looks absolutely beautiful and professionally done. Joe works really hard to complete everything, shows up on time, works late when necessary and does meticulous work. I was actually slightly nervous to hire him at first because his estimate came out so much lower than the other 3 that I got. ($17k or so lower!) I highly recommend him for anyone looking to remodel their home or basement. I am so thankful that we found him to finish our basement, and that he did it at a price was so reasonable.

Joe was late in starting the project due to not finishing up work with a previous client. This became a normal event on Mondays for the same reason. Joe had a problem in communicating with me which hurt the work schedule. Joe's ability to handle a plumbing problem, which was how to purge the system of air, caused the heat to go out after he left the job site. He had to be called back in to fix that which required a mechanical professional whom he brought in to fix it. Joe alone could not do it. Joe developed a communication problem with me which hurt the progress on the job. He had to run many runs to Home Depot because he did not plan well for getting the supplies he needed. Joe finally left the job site and defaulted because I was a problem and left me with a partially completed project. The knee wall is about 80% complete, the bath room conversion is about 40% complete, one of the bedroom doors that was installed is binding and pops open frequently. Overall the job is about 50% finished and Joe has stated in writing that he will never come back to finish the work yet he has collected 2/3 of the money per the contract and I am left to try to find someone else to finish it. Joe always had to blame me for his short comings. I am the client, but it sure did not feel like it. I strongly recommend that if any one uses this company that they specify every little thing that they want in detail, including how many runs to the home parts suppliers would be required, who would be responsible to pick up fixtures and how consulting with the client would be charged for. Joe feels that he is a small 1 person contractor and does not have time to communicate with the client so he low balls the price and then jacks up the final price by adding extras that were never communicated with the client to his final bill. Over all this has been the worst project result I have ever had and I have had many projects completed by both small and large contractors and never once did a contractor ever default on the contract like Joe did by taking all his tools off the last night then sent an email asking for a third draw against the contract, telling me he would be on the job the next morning knowing he would never return. BUYER BEWARE. I thought I had done the right thing when I verified on Angies List Joe's previous Reviews but I guess I just failed to ask for all the details I needed to make a good business decision.

Joe worked very hard the whole time. He did a quality job that I am happy with.

Joe does great work. He framed the room, built a dividing wall, hung the drywall, painted, added several electrical outlets, and hung the trim. Work was completed ahead of schedule and on budget.

Went well - Project was completed ahead of time. No major issues. On the spot changes/additional work requests were performed without question (Closet Interior and additional sheets (6 EA). The servicer was on time and completed the job with little interruption to our day to day activities. Finishing went well - minimal dust. Provided guidance on initial walk thru regarding framing and drywall weight/soffit construction. All drywall was installed using a drywall adhesive backing and screws- minimal waste. Professional end result - no cracking/smooth finish. I would recommend JW to friends and family looking for a competitively priced drywall servicer.

He was able to start very soon after contact, showed up at the times I requested, and completed our basement and bathroom by the date we had scheduled. Everything went very smoothly!

So after 5 days of waiting on him, and it is now after he was already supposed to be here, he called at 6:15 pm and says he is at Equestrian Drive in Dover and not York. He obviously has an older GPS because newer ones have my street in them. Anyway, I give him directions to my place and he said he'd call when he got closer. This would normally only be about a 30 minute drive from where he was. An hour and twenty minutes go by, I can't get him on the phone, and I text him. I said "I guess you're not coming?" Awhile goes by and he sends a text telling me his battery died and couldn't call, but he drove all the way back to Hershey and sent me a text that stated "I lived too far away"!! Can you believe that?? Later he sent a text to me stating that his ad should say "northern York County" and I live in southern York County. That would be a 2-hour round trip. Yeah, it should say "northern York County", but it doesn't, does it??? Very unprofessional businessman!

It went well. The contract was pretty simple and basic. Work was started a day or 2 after signing. Twentyfive % of labor was paid before beginning, and another 25% after framing and electrical, 25% before drywall, and 25% upon completion. The work was done professionally and the total job looks very nice, We are already spending a fair amount of time in our finished basement, and we had our Christmas dinner for 15 there. It took about 8 weeks from the start of the job until the finish, which was satisfactory to us. We would recommend JW Handyman and Remodeling Services for basement finishing and other carpentry and handyman services.

every time i have employed this service, I am very happy. Hence, why I have used him numerous times. He always shows up within a time range given and the jobs are finished in what I perceive as the appropriate amount of time. I have never been unhappy with the outcome and will definitely use him in the future.
