Description of Work: They cleaned six of my area rugs. One was jute and the rest were either silk blends or wool. They did an outstanding job! I hadn't had these carpets cleaned in decades and they really made a huge difference. Also, there was no shrinkage in the jute rug as they said might be. They were so professional and their CEO called a week later asking if I was satisfied. These folks are a class act!! Will use again and again for my home. Also used them to clean the carpet in our Conference Center at work. Again, top notch!

 + -1 moreI got a live person every time I called them on the phone, even when I called after 5pm. They quoted me a price over the phone and we arranged for a date and time. They showed up on time and did the work well and reasonably quickly. They moved furniture when necessary and did some special cleaning on a few spots. I was surprised by how long it took to dry (24 hours) and was initially a little concerned because after a few hours the carpet was very wavy, but when I called them on the phone they reassured me that it was normal on some carpets, and that when it dried completely it would tighten back up, and they were right! After it dried all that wavyness went away just like they told me it would. The carpet looked great and the room smelled a whole lot cleaner. Also the owner called me the next day to ask how the carpet was and to see if i was happy with everything. They are a great company to do business with, they treat you right, and you can tell that they really care about doing and good job and taking care of their customers.

Description of Work: Ryan from Barr's Carpet Cleaning came promptly at the prearranged time. He was very courteous and professional. He explained what he would do, looked at the carpeted areas to be cleaned and gave a reasonable estimate. He worked quietly, asked about our cat gettting out the door which had to be left slightly open due to the eqipment coming in the front door, and performed the work without stop and was done within 2 hours. I had 2 staircases, family room, office and master bedroom along with the upatairs hallway carpets cleaned. The result was superb. The carpets had stained areas where our cat threw up and just overall dirt. Some of the cat stains were a couple years old. We were thinking of replacing the carpets in about 2 years (once done with college tuition payments!) but now they look like brand new carpets and I think we can actually get many more years from the carpeting which we have. All the rooms, hall, and stairs done came out better then my husband and I could have imaginied. It was well worth the investment and we would VERY HIGHLY recommend this company and will use them again in the future. Although we did not have upholstry done I'm sure that would have come out amazing, also.

 + -1 moreThe job he did was fantastic! I hired them because my Bissell Pro-Heat 9500 cannot adequately steam-clean stairs. It has an attachment for such projects, but it just doesn't work well enough for what I was confronting. Ryan easily got ALL of the dirt, grit, and crud out of my carpets. He also got all of the stains except for one, which was so greatly reduced that I did not even notice it until I got four inches from the carpet and inspected it the next day. Mr. Barr was all set to come back and redo that one for free, but I managed to do it myself (I hate dragging people out to my house for such things). The dining room area also saw enormous improvement. Before Ryan showed up, I was pretty skeptical. I thought my Bissell was enough to do an equivalent job. I was wrong. The extraction power they have in these professional machines cannot be matched by any consumer-level product. I still love my Bissell and use it plenty, but Barr's will be cleaning all of my carpets once a year from now on. The quality of workmanship, the professionalism, the price, and the singular emphasis on customer satisfaction all have won me over. I now consider myself a lifetime customer. Initially, I wanted Certified because of their reputation (it is excellent), but they don't service my area. Barr's is close, though, and seemed to have a reliable service from all my research. Honestly, the job Ryan did was first-rate and while I'm sure Certified would do as good of a job if I were within their area, I cannot imagine anyone besting Barr's work. I am *fully* satisfied with this company.
Description of Work: One of Mr. Barr's employees, a guy named Ryan, came over and "steam" (hot water) cleaned my carpets for two sets of stairs and my dining room. The stairways in particular needed very heavy cleaning on account of a 22 year-old cat who is in kidney failure and has taken to barfing on the stairways with alarming regularity. Due to my not knowing how best to deal with the problem, some of the stains were upwards of six months old, I'm afraid.
