BARR'S Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning

The two gentlemen( Ryan and ? Bob) arrived at my home very promptly. They measured all rugs to be cleaned first and gave me an estimate. Once I agreed on the price, they got right to work and were very careful and neat. I had some spots, especially in one bedroom that I felt might not come out. I had used different spot removers to no avail. They could not promise me they could get them out either, but to my surprise most of them came out. I know it was due to their diligence in trying to remove them. The carpets look very good for 17 year old carpets that take a lot of wear and there are also two pets in the home. They feel so wonderful to walk across! I am so pleased! The sofa and love seat had been used for a few years in an apartment while my daughter was going to college and I wanted them freshened up. They also did a nice job on them as well. I had ceiling fans on in every room and all the windows and doors open as it was a beautiful day, so my carpets were dry within about 2 hours. I had moved the furniture and breakables from the areas I needed to be cleaned myself, so the guys could start right in on their work. But they did tell me they could have moved the furniture themselves as long as I took care of the breakables. I would definitely use them again! Great company, great employees, very professional, neat and no high pressure sales.

Scheduled promptly, arrived early and went right to work and completed work well. Everything was done professionally and quickly. result was fine. Price was higher than some offers" seen but effort and results were worth it. Owner followed up re our satisfaction and result. this is an easy company to deal with and we would use them again.

Two gentlemen came and cleaned the rugs. They were prompt, thorough and polite. They took measurements of the house and also made notes as to where the worst stains were. They were concerned about my two cats and wanted to make sure the cats would not run outside when they started cleaning. When I returned home, the carpets looked great.

They were extremely helpful and thorough. Their work was superior, efficient. and top notch!

The first good thing was when I called them and a real person answered the phone! I was able to schedule a date that I wanted. The cleaners arrived on time and went right to work. I could actually see the difference of the carpet as they worked. My carpets have never looked so well. I will never use another company to clean my carpets. They are the BEST.

I spoke with the owner to schedule my appointment and he was very polite and professional. I had never used a service of this kind and Mr. Barr took the time to explain the procedures and was able to give me a rough estimate over the phone. Mr. Barr gave me the name of the technician that would be providing the service, he explained that an accurate cost for service invoice would be given to me before any work was performed. Mr Barr called on the day of my appointment to let me know that Ryan could come early due to an appointment cancelation. Ryan arrived, introduced himself and immediately proceeded to work up an invoice for services. I agreed to the amount and Ryan proceeded to do the cleaning. Upon completion of the job Ryan thoroughly explained what amount of time I should allow for drying. Additionally, Ryan explained the area that he attempted to remove small stains and their company's guarantee of services performed. Ryan, was polite, professional and extremely well trained. I was very pleased with the company and the technician. I will use this company again. I felt that the price for service was good and I actually forgot to use the company's Angie's List coupon.

Barr's cleaned all the carpets in our house and did a wonderful job. The staff was very prompted. helpful and very professional and we highly recommend them!

This was an outstanding consumer experience! I found Barr's on Angie list and found positive reviews. My call to them was answered by a "real" person and not voice mail. I explained the services I needed and a date and approx. time was scheduled. I was also given the names of the servicemen who would be doing the service. They arrived at the appointed time, were clean shaven and neat in appearance ( I am retired military and presentation means a lot to me). They measured the rug area and provided a price for the job. I accepted and they immediately began work. The efficient equipment and handling allow them to complete the project quickly. I also requested that they clean a portion of a rug in our family room where there was a lot of "traffic." They quickly measured the area, quoted the price and upon acceptance began the work. Appropriate "drop cloths" and shoe covers were used throughout the project. Bottom line - A job well done! and the rugs were disinfectant free of charge. A couple of days later, we received a phone call to see if we were satisfied with the work and later a written thank you note fom the owner - WOW!

Cleaned microfiber sofa and two chairs. Chairs came out great, but sofa still had soiled areas after it dried (sofa was very soiled in spots).

We spilled red wine on a light green sofa. Obtained Barr's info from Angie's List. Barr's returned our weekend phone message on Monday morning and was responsive to all our questions and probability of removing the stain. Honest and professional. Two men arrived on time as promised, cleaned the entire sectional sofa, including the stain, as well as a few cushions. They were conscientious, courteous, knowledgeable, respectful. They were finished in about an hour. Red wine stain was gone, sofa was clean!

My experience with Barr's Carpet & Upholstering cleaning has been a pleasure from the moment I first contacted them in regards to having the work done. I left a voice mail and Mr. Barr responded within minutes, he was very pleasant and helpful in answering all my questions. At the time of the call we set up the appointment and he explained in detail what would take place once the team would arrive to perform the work. The team was early, which I really appreciated, and were very professional, thorough and pleasant. They did an excellent job and even provided very helpful hints on dealing with pet stains on carpets. Given that I'm extremely picky, have very high standards and expect the same from professionals that I hire to do work in my house, meeting my expectations is not an easy feat, but Barr's met them with flying colors. I will most definately hire them again in the future and I highly recommend them.

I am more than pleased with their work. They did an incredible job. I had my family room done and it looks brand new. The carpet is a little over 10 years old. There was a stain on there that was on there at least for a year and they were able to get it out. They were only here for about an hour before the work was completed. The workers were very friendly and accommodating as well. When I talked to the owner on the phone to set up the appointment, he was also a very nice man. I would definitely recommend them.

These folks are wonderful to work with....professional, courteous, and pleasant. They were even nice to my yappy dogs. The owner called a week later to make sure everthing was done to my satisfaction. The two workers spent as much time as was needed to get the rugs and furniture done correctly....NO HURRYING the job. They did a really beautiful job, and although they cost a bit more, I think they are worth it and I will use them in the future and refer others to them. I am having them come over in a week or two to clean the carpets inside my car. In summary, I strongly recommend this company.

Got voice mail when I called, but my message was returned immediately (in about 2minutes). Service and prices were explained in excellent detail, set an appointment. Later they asked if I would mind the appointment being moved back an hour, but they were adamant that if it was a problem, they would stick to the original time. They arrived on time, were very pleasant and professional. Gave suggestions about future "accidents". Suggested the extra application of "protectant". I'm very pleased with the service.

From the moment I called and got Mr. Barr on the line to the follow-up call I received from him, all went very well.. The technicians called to say they were running early (yay!) and asked if they could come an hour early. They arrived promptly and were extremely courteous, friendly and professional. They did an excellent job with my sofa. It looks great! When Mr. Barr called to find out whether I was happy with the service, I was so surprised that somebody actually does that these days! Though I thought the price was bit on the high side, I am more than happy with the results. I would unreservedly recommend Barr's.

They were great. They were very honest as I had over estimated the amount of square feet that they had to clean. The price was well worth it. I would use them again.

On the phone they were very helpful and accommodating. When they arrived they greeted my monster dog affectionately. Two of them got to work immediately after giving me a price for the job so there were no surprises. They vacuumed 1st then cleaned the carpet. They also rinsed the carpet and applied a deodorizer. (at their recommendation the carpet got wet during a minor flood.) What a great job they did It looks brand new!

we needed several areas of carpet cleaned. We also had a light stain on our living room carpet. We went with this company because they were the only ones that would first test the stained area and if they could not remove the stain they would not charge us for that area. All the other companies wanted to clean that room and charge us, whether or not they could remove the stain.

The owner, Mr. Barr, was courteous and helpful from my first phone contact with him. He explained the pricing and the process of how his technician, Ryan, would handle the job. Mr. Barr is a very personable, professional business owner, and had great knowledge regarding carpets and their care. He was honest about what could be done and what couldn't. For example, he let me know up front, that older carpet would not look new again, but could be rejuvenated and look cleaner. I appreciated his approach and candor so that my expectations would be met. When Ryan arrived on the scheduled day, he was efficient and professional, from the initial measuring, to treating, and to the final cleaning. I would certainly recommend Barr's Carpet Cleaning to anyone wanting to clean and refresh the carpet in their home.

As a Christmas present, I wanted to have the carpets cleaned in my parent's home. I didn't want to use these guys who advertise $99 for the whole house. I called several listed in the phone book and on Angie's list. Based on these contacts, I decided on Barr's. I called in early December and spoke with Rob. I gave him approximate dimensions of the rooms and he provided me with an estimate. He answered all my questions and was very patient with me. I explained that this was a present and my parents would be calling sometime in the spring. We worked out the payment arrangements since I didn't want my parents to know the cost. When my parents called to make the appointment, Rob called me to let me know. I wasn't there when the carpets were cleaned but my Mom told me that the guys (Ryan and Bob) were very nice and professional. She was very happy with the results and particularly happy with the way the whole house smelled after they were done. She tried to coerce the guys in telling her how much it cost but they held firm! (Thanks!) After the job was finished, Rob called me, I paid by cc over the phone and he mailed me the receipt. They are not the cheapest and not the most expensive. I would not hesitate at all to use them again. Thanks Rob for making a picky 80 year old happy!

They arrived promptly and set up and cleaned the room, moving furniture and putting them on pads. We were immensely pleased with their work. They were very efficient. I especially appreciated the call from the owner himself checking to see if the service was good and if there were any problem that needed to be attended to.

Make sure you call ahead because they are extremely busy. I called and my appointment was two weeks out. They arrive promptly they do a thorough job they give you advice on cleaning stains et cetera. Very very pleasant young man to interact with.

BARR'S Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning is without a doubt the most professional group I have worked with. They are the prototype for communication, punctuality, quality of work and follow-up. I have four kids, pets and more teenagers with dirty feet running through my house than one can imagine. I actually called Barr's on a whim: I assumed that I needed to have my carpet replaced. Not so. Now they look new! There were only two carpet spots in our entire house that they were not able to eradicate. One was because the carpet that they were cleaning was a valuable, antique Persian and they didn't want to stain the carpet (good call on the technician's part), and one was from a party from long ago the I was neither invited to, or aware that anyone was!
