Ken and his team were awesome,. They did the whole project In 5 days,. Very professional and nice to work with, had the lowest bid but did the most work. Really really happy with results

It went great! Ken and I agreed on a short set of concrete stairs with a drain at the bottom landing. That drain and my downspout near the push-out window were both routed to my main run-off piping further down in the yard - work completed via excavation. I requested that nicely dressed landscape block create sidewalls along the concrete steps. The basement door made from metal. The work was outstanding and we couldn't be happier. Ken and his team did this work in 2.5 days!! I was astonished at the efficiency and diligence of his guys. He and his team were professional, courteous, shook hands and made eye contact. Every day they were there, they worked solid and at the end of the day the work-site was immaculate. Literally folded tarps and equipment stowed neatly. Unbelievable! It really made me feel like he and his group are grateful for the work and respect the folks they work for. The finished product speaks for itself - I'm proud to show this work to anyone. I built a very nice custom home (Costa). I wanted the work to be impeccable and not detract from the beauty and quality of our home. This work only added to the value. If I need additional work along the general construction lines (like an addition), my first call will be to Ken. Only sorry I couldn't get this written sooner! Many thanks!!

Great! Ken and his team arrived when scheduled and performed the work in a highly professional and timely manner. They removed an existing concrete driveway, replaced it with a new and better driveway (including drainage) and cleaned up when done, leaving the property in great condition. i would definitely recommend them and i would definitely hire them again if the need arises!

Trimpey Construction was FANTASTIC! They were by far better than any of the other companies whose proposals we reviewed. They showed up on time everyday, were extremely friendly, polite, accommodated our needs, and explained everything as they went along. I would recommend them highly to anyone. A+++++++ I have a long driveway and they turned it into a thing of beauty. Sloped it appropriately to prevent drainage issues (that had been a big problem).

Getting the estimate was timely and easy. Work was scheduled for Sept 21st. We received a call the week prior to confirm the appointment. They arrived as promised and went to work. The existing double driveway concrete was gone in the morning and they prepared one side for cement the next day. The next morning the truck arrived, concrete was poured and the other side was prepared. One the third day the other side was poured, The concrete was finished nicely. Everyone on the job was friendly and experienced, knew what they had to do and went to work. At the end of each day, the area was cleaned up. This company is top notch and highly recommended.

Trimpey and his crew tore down the old stone bed the first day and hauled away old stone. The following day Ken and his crew of three brought in new stone and rebuilt the bed. Installed a drain under bed and ran it under the bed and continued beyond the bed wall into the lawn out to about six-seven feet, laying the plastic drain lower into the ground. The crew was great and Mr. Trimpey was accommodating and professional. After heavy rains in recent weeks the drain system has been working great! I would hire him again. The previous bed was built without a drain system. In fact the man removed the drain we put in when he was rebuilding the bed we originally built. Make sure the person you hire knows how to build raised beds with proper drainage.

They didn't fill that space in, The concrete quality was good, and he did a pretty good job overall. BUT - they left the level of the concrete above the level of the yard by at least an inch, nearly 2 inches in some places. They didn't fill that space with dirt, and that made it difficult to mow the lawn. I couldn't just roll the mower from the lawn and over the paving, I had to lift it to get where I wanted to go. That was annoying. I had some landscaping done this year and had the landscaper fill in those spaces.

This is the second phase of work performed by Ken Trimpey. Last fall he installed a beautiful exposed aggregate walkway. Ken with his crew of four young men including his son did an excellent job from start to finish with virtually and quot;noand quot; talking and precision execution. They were very and quot;cleanand quot; in that they kept the work area spotless and no clutter. They respected my neighbor's property and made sure they didn't disturb or mess up any of his existing grass. It was obvious they knew what they were doing and didn't waste time excavating and preparing the ground for the first of three concrete pours. They had each pour in and ready for floating in less than one hour.. Very impressive in my opinion. The walls came next after the concrete was finished and they knocked them in our in one and half days in 90-degree weather. This was first time Ken had worked with my choice of wall material and they followed the manufacture's recommendation for the pattern to the tee! They topped things off with sealing everything twice including doing another seal on the existing walkway. They did everything right.

Where should I begin.. Well, Ken first off was easy to get hold off and came as agreed to discuss my project. I had a specific vision on what I wanted and Ken was able translate that into a working estimate with no push back or strong-arm tactics, or pressures to do anything other than what I wanted. Ken gave me a fair estimate that was not the lowest and not the highest of the four other estimates I got. What sold me on going with Ken Trimpey Construction was Ken, his website of work he has done and the sense of confidence that he could do what I asked and nothing more or less.. Ken and his crew, which included his son and three other young guys, arrived on schedule and prompt and went right to work. They kept the area clean, and didn't disturb anything other than the precise area needed to form out the walkway. What was especially noticeable was there was little chatting and no waste of time discussing what should they do, they all worked as if there was one one person doing the work… Another words, excellent and quot;team workand quot;! Rare in todays workforce.. Ken worked with me on making a few minor changes to the design of the walkway and had no complaints when I decided to change the concrete finish from standard concrete to a and quot;Exposed Aggregatedand quot; finish, which is much more complex than standard, but I seen that Ken had lots of experience from the photo gallery on his website. Of course it took a more labor and time to do this type of finish, but Ken was willing to do it for a fair up charge of $400 from the original $2,100 estimate. It was a two day job and on day two (the next day) Ken and the crew and the cement company he arranged appeared and quot;exactlyand quot; on time at 7am in the morning and in less than 1-hour had the entire pad and walkway poured. No mess, no fuss, no yelling, no surprises! It was PERFECT! Just as we envisioned and better.

As for the pool last year, we couldn't be more pleased! We wish we'd have done this 20 years ago. Our 30 year old inground pool now looks brand new! We continue to get lots of compliments on stamped concrete. Now I don't have to worry about the grand kids getting splinters any more. For the wrap-around porch: Our entire experience with Trimpey Construction was positive. Ken and his crew are knowledgeable, timely, and very efficient. They are committed to their work and are a pleasure to work with. Ken had done a few smaller jobs for us over the years…replacing a retaining wall, a new roof….but our newest project was quite a bit larger. We wanted to replace an ageing deck off our family room with a wrap around covered porch that would include a new 17’x17’ extension to our existing basement game room off the back of the house. We had tossed the idea around for years but finally decided to pull the trigger on the project after consulting with Ken Trimpey, what was involved, and how it would improve the value of our home. He made us feel very comfortable throughout the whole process Ken was very helpful preparing us to get a zoning variance for the side porch. He also worked very closely with us on the design of the project. His knowledge of construction and scheduling is exceptional and he made the project seem much shorter than it actually was. There seemed to be no down time or waiting for things to get done. The whole project went like clockwork. We have gotten many compliments on our new wraparound porch and how it has improved the look and value of our home. The one that sticks out most in our mind is that one of my wife’s colleagues said our house looks like something out of Southern Living magazine. Now that makes it all worthwhile! There was constant close communication with Ken throughout the project and, I am very happy to say, there were absolutely NO surprises. Sandy and I are very pleased with our new porch and the new bar room underneath I only wish we’d have done this 20 years ago.
