Scott Mc our sales person did a good job of explaining things. I like a sales person that educates me on what they offer, tells me about several options and isn't heavy handed! That is what Scott did. He followed up and addressed every issue along the way. Josh E was very responsive and followed through. The best part of this kind of work is the front end of the sale - but in this case the work was amazing. Three professional workers - lead by Josh #2 worked SO HARD - in hot conditions and even through rain and kept a smile on their faces and addressed all my little worries along the way very knowledgeabley and professionally. We broke the job into two parts to install some plumbing and they worked well figuring out that step too. oh and by the way MY BASEMENT IS DRY!

Renae was attentive to my desperate plea to solve the stink in my house. She is terrific!

We hired Keystone Basement Systems to install an internal French drain in our basement that ran along the perimeter of three walls (68 lineal feet total). The work included the French drain, installation of a sump pump system, and finishing work: replacing framing and insulation, rewiring, new dry wall with taping/finishing, painting, etc. Overall, we were very pleased with the quality and performance of Keystone’s work. Installation of the French drain was completed quickly, in a professional and timely manner; and their team of workers were dependable, professional, highly skilled, and hardworking. Their attention to detail, and not cutting corners, was specifically noted and appreciated. From start to finish, Keystone’s business practices were exemplary. It was a pleasure dealing with all of Keystone’s representatives who were involved in the job – including Keystone’s job inspector, estimator, designer, and lead carpenter. Keystone should take great pride in its employees and each one’s level of competence!

They got back promptly to say they don't do this work

A 40 foot section of our foundation wall was completely rebuilt in June of 2014, and recently a 10 foot section of that wall displayed signs of water intrusion. A representative from KBS came out in late October of 2018 to survey the problem, take pictures and come up with a solution to remedy the issue. On Jan. 4, 2019, the project manager, Josh English, came to discuss what steps were to be taken in the repairs and ask if this was satisfactory to us, which it was. Jan. 9-10, a crew came to initiate the remediation; throughout the work, the lead technician Josh, explained what was to be done and consulted us about placement of various physical aspects (electrical supply, sump pump, etc.), which was much appreciated. After the repairs were completed, Josh again went over the details of the work to ensure our satisfaction, which we were. The remediation included installation of an interior French drain and a sump pump on that section of wall, in addition to covering the concrete block with a non-organic material to prevent mold growth. There was no charge for the repair, as it was covered by the original warranty, but I must add that this was obviously a substantial financial investment by the company owner (labor, materials and travel time) to guarantee that the issue was permanently resolved. The only negative comment that I would make is that I initially had some difficulty making contact with someone to explain the problem that I was having, so that someone could come and evaluate it, as well as finding out when repairs were to be scheduled.

From working with Brian on the estimate through working with Tony and his crew on the 2 day project everything was great! Below are a few specific things that I think every customer will want to know as every job is different. + The pricing was good for the work that we needed done. + Tony and his crew finished early which was unexpected. + Even though the initial plan that was discussed needed to slightly be tweaked, the finished overall job was made sense and and was secure. + Tony and his crew answered my questions at the beginning of work and through out. + Most importantly, they were respectful of our property and maintained a clean job site.

I was very pleased and impressed with Keystone Basement Waterproofing especially Tony and his crew. Workers did an excellent job without any dirt or dust when they were done. I would definitely hire them again.

The process went very well. My husband and i were nervous because we have never had such a big job done in our home and we have lived there for 47 years. First the sales representative Josh visited us. He could not have been any more professional and knowledgable. He answered all our questiins and. concerns, even on a Sunday. Then he fit in our job quickly because we are going away for a week and we were afraid to leave our house since it was taking on rain water at the foundation. Then Josh sent us the best crew of technicians. Tony and Charlie’s team were awesome. They arrived on schedule. They were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They were here about 9 hours and worked very hard with few breaks. They cleaned up when they were done and treated our house like it was their own. Bottom line is I could not be any happier with my decision to choose Keystone from Angie’s List. I would highly recommend their service. We have not yet tested the system with a big rain storm but I am not expecting to see any water in the basement again.

I met with the company representive very professional. He was not pushy, didn`t try to up sale me. The company sent out a crew that was top notch. The crew leader name was Wesley. He and his two guy were punctual, neat, carried out everything the way I was explained it would be done by Aaron. Wesley and his guys got right to work got on the job and got it done. Wesley was able to explain the procedure and answer any question I had I a professional way. They were a trust worthy crew that I didn't have to worry about in my home. I would use keystone again if needed in the future. I would ask for Wesley and his crew if keystone is needed in the future, they were top notch. im very satisfied with their work.

Austin & Brandon were professional and prompt in completing my 5 yr system check....I have been totally satisfied with Keystone, their contractors, workers and high level of skill the have in the waterproofing business....I highly recommend.

The quality of the workmanship was good. I am very pleased with the final product. The crew acted professionally and did a thorough clean up. I am displeased with the lack of responsiveness of the company to my phone calls. I have in writing an estimated May start date, but the actual start date was in October. That is frustrating but can be managed with communication. When they did not return my calls throughout much of the summer, I began to think I was somehow overlooked and risked losing my deposit. After the job was completed, nobody walked me through the job and explained the decisions that were made along the way. There was a minor deviation from the contract which was handled respectfully, and I am grateful for that, but I had to inquire.

Brian came on time to give an estimate. He explored the problem thoroughly and listened to all I had to report. He thought creatively about a variety of solutions and ended up suggesting work that was too small for the company to do, but would be the most cost saving solution. He was very honest and not just out to make a sale, but to really help us solve our problem.

After noticing the formation and rapid growth of cracks in both the interior and exterior of the house, we hired Keystone out of a group of three contractors. Of the three, they proposed techniques that were less invasive to our house and property and, most importantly, arrested the shifting that were causing the cracks to grow. Two years after the work was complete, the cracks have not budged.

I was really concerned about their bowing walls and Keystone not only fixed the problem, they guarantee their work. From the moment my father and I met Chuck A. from Keystone, we were impressed with his confidence in being able to fix the basement walls and his thorough evaluation of the situation. I had 5 other companies come to give me bids and look at the walls, and we felt most comfortable with Chuck from Keystone. Not only did he give us a bid that was reasonable for the job, the bid he quoted was the total at the end of the job. Not only was Chuck very nice to work with, the guys who came to do the job were very good. Tony and Charles were prompt, polite, and hard working. They had a huge job of 12 steel beams and 5 Rhino Straps and were able to finish in 3 days. Tony and Charles are very neat and meticulous with their work. Chuck was also back to look at the progress of the job and to make sure we were happy with how the basement project was progressing. My parents and I are very pleased with the quality of the repair. From the transfer of the contract to setting up the service call to Austin coming to the house to perform the repair it was a pleasant experience. Would highly recommend!

Austin called & said he could arrive earlier than scheduled. That was good for me on a Monday. He performed the inspection & was able to make an adjustment that prevented the need to replace the battery. He was professional and courteous. He is an asset to the company.

Keystone Basement Systems was fabulous. I never write reviews. Our experience was so positive I felt compelled to share. "Seepage" into our gameroom was causing extra dampness, and when talking with other companies, I found myself feeling like nobody would "listen" to what our problem was. Keystone was PROFESSIONAL. They called when they said they would, they showed up exactly on time, they LISTENED, and most importantly, they corrected our problem at a very fair price and did an excellent job. NO MORE WATER. Excellent. Everyone from Brian who bid the job and the crew that did the work were very professional. Brian was very approachable and answered all of my questions and called me back readily after I texted him or left a voice mail. The Foreman of the crew called me the day before and told me when they would be there and if I had any questions and explained how the project was going to go. Brian met me earlier in the morning before I went to work the morning of the project and we reviewed the project again and he answered all of my questions. When I got home from work the project was complete and the basement was spotless clean, just as they promised. Very satisfied with their work and it was completed as agreed.

She was a professional but a very, very, VERY hard sell. The estimate was outrageously higher than two other quotes we received.

Keystone's team is rare for Pittsburgh in that they come on time, and clean up well. Unfortunately I paid a lot of money and they didn't fix the problem. The company owner seems very knowledgable but the rest of the staff doesn't seem to get the notes. The first time they installed my posts in the wrong place, and put brackets on not-flush angles (see picture). After the owner came out and apologized a new team came back, but also didn't seem to really know what they were fixing besides moving some posts to the right place, the original problems were mostly still there and the owner threw up his hands and said that's all they can do. In the end, the problem I called them out for is not fixed and I have a bunch of new poles and lot less money.

They were very flexible with evening hours. Rep was very knowledgeable about their system and services, which are impressive. While we ultimately decided to go with another option, Keystone was responsive and the cancellation process was easy. Deposit money was returned promptly.

I called many different builders concerning the extensive repairs needed to an existing commercial building. After sending the structural engineering report, most companies did not know how to provide a solution. Additionally, many other construction companies did not return calls promptly. As soon as I called Keystone Basements, I felt relieved. At no cost, they immediately provided a prompt date for assessment of the damage. I was surprised how quickly that this company provided a detailed and thorough inspection as well as repair solutions for the many different problems associated with this building. I had many questions for both Brian McWhirter and Aaron Stull, and both were very respectful, intelligent, and prompt in their responses to my often naive questions. When I met with these two individuals at the proposed construction site, they spent two hours inspecting the building and provided detailed solutions to our many difficulties in language and terms that was easy to understand. They were able to communicate clearly and patiently for the duration of all of our meetings. I was very impressed by their willingness to help in a timely fashion for this complex difficulty. Unfortunately, a decision was made to sell this building, and I was not able to have them fix the many difficulties associated with this structure. However, I am very grateful for their prompt and professional services and willingness to step into a difficult situation that most other builders could not even comprehend. I would highly recommend their services to anyone with an existing structural problem. Their prompt response, detailed understanding and ability to communicate provided me with great faith in their capabilities. I really appreciate their time, skill, intelligence, and patience.

I really couldn't be any more pleased with Keystone so I'll try and write a fair and honest review. My overall experience with them was fantastic. I had a home I inherited when my father passed away and we had been fixing it up over the past year. I knew there was an issue in the basement with water but I never thought it was a major issue until the realtor walked through. I contacted Keystone and Mike met me at the property on a Saturday afternoon. That's something I appreciated since the property is about an hour from where I live. I was running about 15 minutes late and Mike was actually there early so he had been waiting on me for probably 25 minutes. Most other contractors would have left and rightfully so. This isn't cheap work and if you go into a problem like this, I wouldn't recommend going with the cheapest option. I was in a bind because of how much money I had already spent on the property and Mike worked with me to get to a number I was comfortable with. We ended up agreeing on a price that day but I had a ton of work in front of me because I needed to completely gut the basement and demo a bathroom. Four days after I told Mike I was done with my part on the basement, there was a crew working at the property. Most of the time, I can't even get contractors out for an estimate that quickly. Dave F and his crew worked their behinds off. I still have no idea how they installed 100 ft of drains in 2 days but those guys have my respect for sure. There's no easy access to the basement so it's up and down 20 stairs each time. The place was spotless when they left and it was much cleaner than I had left it for them. I really appreciated the time they took to sweep everything out. They even helped me out by jack-hammering the 4x4 slab where the old shower was in the bathroom (even though I really wanted to rent a jackhammer and do it myself but my fiance was concerned I'd lose a toe). One of the best features in my opinion is the warranty. They guarantee you won't have water within 3 feet (i think it's 3 feet) from the walls in. They obviously can't control water coming up through the main drain of the house. The warranty is transferable so that's a great selling feature for me. And I love the app. Think about how many times you go down into an old unfinished basement. How long until you'd know if there was water down there? The app and notifications will tell you if the pump isn't working and how much it pumped out. There's also a backup in the event of lost power. My only criticism would be the fact that they do use subcontractors. I get it because it reduces costs and helps provide lower costs to customers. But I certainly don't have any issues about the work they did. Those guys worked 2 12-hour days to get it done. Thank you again Mike and Dave for everything.

Overall, we are very happy with the work. We had Rhino straps placed. They cleaned up after the work was done. Dan was excellent to work with throughout the entire process.
