Excellent. Mark and Mike were highly professional, very competent, and thorough. One of the best things about this company is that sewer/drain cleaning is all they do- they won't try to tell you that you need repair when you don't, which is why they were recommended to us. They leave you a flash drive with their report of their camera diagnosis. Worth every dollar spent.

It only took them two seconds. It wasn't a tree or anything, so it didn't take them very long. He even came in and unclogged inside the house drain when it was not really his area. The quality was great. He did it quick and did extra. He came right away. I had called another plumber that didn't do that job and he recommended them that did do that kind of work. He came the very next day. He was there on time. He is really good.

They came the same day with 20 minutes call ahead notice. They did the job quickly and efficiently gave us good honest advice.

He is very personal, prompt and great customer service. He wasnt able to fix my problem and stayed here for over and hour and didn't charge me.

They came, they snaked, they conquered; told me where the problem was, suggested call-back in 18-24 months because roots grow back. This is a problem when you live in the woods. Whole thing took 25 minutes; came the same day I called them. Great, courteous guys, especially considering it was the day before Christmas Eve.

Called and left message. They replied in 20 min and said they would be out the same day. This was on a Saturday and they did not charge extra for the weekend call. Arrived with in 2 hours and completed the job in just over an hour. Courteous and knowledgeable. Would definitely hire again.

Dale and Mel were able to come out the day after I called. They called ahead to let me know what time they would arrive and they arrived exactly on time. They were able to use a camera and locator to show us exactly where our stormwater lines are buried. They explained everything thoroughly and highlighted the problem areas for us. They also provided us with a DVD copy of the camera footage. They marked the location and depth of the drainage pipes so we could make the necessary repairs. This saved us quite a bit of time and money because a plumber had recommended that we would have to dig up half the yard (and potentially the driveway and patio) to find the problem.

Dave and Mel arrived within the provided window with a 30 minute notice phone call. They attempted to open a blocked sewer lateral unsuccessfully via a snake. They attached a locator to the snake and ran it out to the point of where it seemed to be blocked and marked the street at that location. They suggested it was a collapsed line (they were right), and they provided their contact information so that other contractors could call them with questions about their experience if needed.

They where very fast, on time, very nice folks to deal with. They did not try to sell you services you do not need. They only worked on the problem at hand. I would recommend them to anyone who needs this type of service. Will use them in the future for my plumbing needs.

It went great. Adam and his helper did the work and did it quickly and professionally. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone.

This was the 2nd time we had called them and it was great. I called them at 9 am and they showed up by 11:15 am. They were professional and found the issue quickly and took care of it in an hour. If you have any needs around have the pipes cleaned or video of the pipes, I would go with this provider.

It went great. Everything went well and they were efficient. They knew what they were doing and they did it well. They did an excellent job; thank you for helping with my catastrophe of the flooded sewage water that was in the basement! Thank you so much for fixing it! I would recommend them to anybody; job well done.

Our sewer line clogged due to tree roots. I called a couple of plumbers we like but who couldn't come out until the next day. We didn't want to wait since we had sewer water sitting in our garage. I called and left a message and got a call back within 10 minutes or so. Much to my surprise the workers arrived within 15 minutes and snaked the sewer line. They checked to make sure that the water was draining, and they even helped encourage the pooled water to move in the right direction. I was pleasantly surprised and greatly relieved to get such prompt service on a Friday afternoon!

My basement drain started backing up into the house this weekend while doing laundry. Being a cheapskate, I let it sit for a while and sure enough, the water disappeared back into the drain. No Sunday emergency plumber fees for me then:) I researched plumbers on Angie's List and found that rare combination of reasonable prices and great reviews in A-1. I was dreading potentially massive plumber fees but I was reasonably sure my drain just needed to be snaked so this was exactly what I was looking for. I called A-1 Monday morning about 10 AM. They took my information and said someone would call me back. I got a call from Josh about 20 minutes later, he stated the rate for a drain clog and scheduled the time for a "at least a few hours from now". I asked if he thought it would be safe for me to wait until noon and then go home at lunch and he said it would probably be between 1-3 so that should be fine. Mike called me about 2:00 to say he was 15 minutes away and he showed up with another guy 10 minutes later. They asked a few questions and then went to work. They quickly located the clog and cleared it. The entire visit was probably about 30 minutes. I ran a large load of laundry as soon as they left and everything was fine. I noticed a few reviews mentioned that they didn't clean up. The act of unclogging a drain is naturally messy but I didn't expect them to ask me for a mop. They cleaned up what they pulled out of my drain and hosed down the floor lightly which was good enough for me. I had already expected to vigorously mop the floor post-visit regardless of what cleanup was performed by A-1. I would highly recommend A-1 to anyone that thinks they have a clogged drain.

The service from A1 was most prompt and excellent. We have used A1 through the years and have always had the most prompt response for service. They always do an excellent job for a reasonable price. This particular service was to clear drains of leaves and silt that had washed in from this summer's severe weather. The work was thorough, and the serviceman cleaned up so well. We would not consider any other service provider.

Curtis arrived when he said he would and was very friendly and professional. He diagnosed the problem quickly and snaked our our line removing the blockage. He cleaned up quickly and was on his way. I will definitely be using A-1 Sewer again in the future.

They were prompt and thorough, and did not charge me anything either time, because they were not able to reach the sewer main. I was pretty sure they would not be able to unblock our line, because we had it snaked and camera'd before and thought our sewer pipe was probably crushed. We told them so, but still they came out and tried. They removed a bunch of baby wipes that were clogging the works, and improved the flow the first time, but it backed up again over time, so we called again, and again they cleaned it out and didn't charge us. The only minor thing is that after they snaked out our main stack, there was some debris on the basement floor, which they did not clean up. Not too a big deal, especially given that we had a backup earlier and needed to clean up the floor anyway. They were quick to respond, professional, put in a lot of effort and didn't charge us(!) -- I would definitely use them again.

Showed up within 60 minutes from the time the call was made. Main sewer line was clogged, Josh opened the line and then cleaned the all excess material out . He even cleaned up all the material he removed from the line.

They were fine and I would use them again in the future.

I had a sewer drain backup on a Sunday. I called A-1 on Monday, and they were able to provide same day service. The service was prompt (they arrived at my home before I got there!) and efficient (about 30 mins start to finish). They were able to remove some tree roots from my drain, and answered all of my questions. Clean-up could have been a little better - a pile of roots were left on my laundry room floor. I would definitely use their service again.

Called on a Sunday for service, as the sewer line was 100% backed up. I requested work for that day and they charged an emergency service fee. At the time I didn't think much of it as it was needed work, but I now realize that I should have called around for someone that would do same-day service (as I did a few months later without any additional fee from a different company). The snaking of the sewer was done effectively and didn't take long, but they wanted a good bit extra to video the line as well, which I declined. After the sewer was backed up again a few months later though, I am also again wishing that I would have called around for a different company that would have videoed it for free with the service call so that I would have been able to see the large amount of roots in my sewer and known that the problem was worse than realized. Two companies that I have used since videoed without an extra fee.

They were hard to get a hold of via phone. It took several follow-up calls to find out their status. They cleaned out the main and got things flowing, but told me I probably needed a plumber to replace the trap. Said they could not guarantee things because of issues with the trap. I called a plumber and by the time the plumber got there the next day, it was backed up again and the plumber said they could not troubleshoot things, The plumber said they could have one of their guys come out and clean the line again and run a camera through the line for an additional cost of $150. I called A-1 back and to their credit they came out a second time, even after telling me previously that they could not guarantee things because of the trap issue. They got the line open a second time and the plumber was able to come out. A-1 was correct the trap needed replacing. The ratings of B were mainly for how many time I had to call them to find out when they were coming. I was impressed with them knowing their limitations and telling me that I needed a plumber to resolve the situation correctly. I was also impressed with them coming out a second time at no cost, even though they warned me that things might backup again.

We had first called in a "the big name guys" who had done work for us before. Those fellows came and, while they did not charge us for their visit, proposed to charge us over $3000 to rip up the concrete in our basement to find the problem. We then called A1 and they promptly came the next day and solved the problem for only $150, with no ripping up the concrete. We'll definitely call on them in the future! The only odd part of the experience was when I called, the receptionist answered and then said "wait a minute" and I could hear her typing away while I was sitting there. After a couple of minutes I said "Hello? Are you there?" and she answered and took my information, which then led to a prompt scheduling of services. I almost hung up because of her inattentiveness. I'm glad I didn't.

Last time my sewer was cleaned it had backed up. It was covered under a contract. It was a lot of work - took about three hours, had to access it from the inside, and needed an extra long snake. However, at the end of it, the water was flowing freely and all was well. This time I tried to be proactive. A1 Sewer's telephone service worked well, they arranged the appointment quickly, called before they cam, and turned up on time. I explained the situation to them and what had been done in the past, and was curtly informed that A1 Sewer were the professionals, they were doing this all the time, and they didn't need to access the sewer from the inside. 45 minutes and $150 later the water still NOT flowing freely. I was given an explanation how that was a problem with my sewer, but I can't verify that explanation as I'm not an expert. Time for a second opinion....

These guys were very professional. They came out even though it was pouring down rain, and they unclogged the sewer drains quickly and efficiently and then reconnected the downspouts.
