It went very well. Josh wasn't able to fix the original problem because we needed substantial repairs, but he figured out what the problem was, and he gave us a good idea of how it to go about getting it repaired. He recommended that we call Kangaroo Plumbing (and that was to our relief, since we'd worked with John before and were happy that he could do this type of work). When John (from Kangaroo) was doing the repairs, he needed A-1 to come out on very short notice to snake out a drain that was backing up in a heavy, torrential rain. A-1 sent people within the hour! WIthout their quick response, we would have had a very wet basement, I'm sure. :-) I'm so thrilled with A-1. I love a responsive group like them--they're hard-working and reliable. Hire them if you have any sewer problems!

They specialize in sewer line cleaning. They do not do anything else besides sewer cleaning. I thought that they came quickly. They were easy to get appointment with. I think they came the next day. They were on time. It was a quick visit. I didn’t feel that they were trying to up sell me. I’ve seen a few other plumbers before who were trying to over sell things to me and wouldn’t let me off. I thought that they seemed honest and professional. I was pretty comfortable with them. It worked and they were fabulous. I would use their services again in the future.

I made the appointment, requested a time of approximately 1:00pm. I was told they would try to be there between 1-3pm, which was fine with me. They called about 12:45 and said they were on there way. Took about 15 minutes to unclog the drain (which I was unable to unclog myself). Very friendly and professional.

Our sewer had backed up so we called A1. They arrived promptly, worked on our lines approximately 1 hour. They cleaned up all the tree roots that were in our lines. We used this company before & are very happy with their promptness & professionalism.

Very good experience. I called expecting to schedule an appointment. Dale and Mike were at my home in an hour. The work was performed in a timely manner. The workmen were courteous and explained the reason for the drainage back up. The price was exactly as quoted.

Called A-1 at 10:00 AM and explained the problem to the receptionist. Received a phone reply less than 30 minutes later and the A-1 van arrived at my house by 11:30 - amazing! We told the two repairmen, Mike & Josh, what the problem was and they used a powerful snake to open the drain. In addition to opening up and cleaning the main sewer, they cleaned out the other side of the drain back into the house. Mike & Josh both were very professional and IMO, highly skilled at their job. I would definitely call them again. FWIW, the only reason for the B rating I gave them for price is that I'm cheap.

We called them late evening when the sewer backed up. they came the next morning and went right to work removing the clog. Advised us on where the pipe needed to be replaced and marked it on our lawn so we could show our contractor.

Found a bunch of our storm drains were clogged with debris when we were having our gutters done. They came out and were able to fix everything up, no problems.

After another company came out and unsuccessfully unclogged my sewer and told me I had a collaspsed pipe, I called A 1. They came out within 2 hours of calling them. They were very curtious and professional. They had no problems clearing my sewer and give a 60 day guarantee on thier work. DON'T CALL ANYONE ELSE BUT THIS COMPANY. They even offer a you do not pay policy if they cannot unclog your sewer!!

Though we were pleased with the result at the time, we have just had another contractor take a look at the same section of drain with a video camera and it is obvious that large roots are still in the drain. This contractor was not able to push his camera through the drain very far before it ran into obstructions. We wish A-1 had done a more thorough job last year. They should have checked the drain with a camera and re-snaked it until it was clear. They also should have treated the roots chemically to ensure they don't grow back.

I have used A-1 several times to clear roots from the sewer line over the last 6 years. They came on the same day I called and went right to work. Workers were friendly and courteous. They spent an hour, which should have cost $150, trying to clear the sewer line. They were unable to clear the line due to a break in the line and didn't charge me a penny. They gave me advice on the next step and cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend this company for sewer cleaning needs.

on time, professional crew who knew what to do and had the proper equipment to do it. no big sales pitch, just cleared the pipes. did try to tell us that anything was broken or needed replacement either. far different from the first company we called who wanted to start jackhammering up our garage floor at 8pm at night for "exploratory" reasons.

Very nice and professional. Seems a little expensive for 20-30 minutes of work, but they have the equipment. Seems to have worked. First rain did not create a flood. There is a 60-day guarantee, so we will see how the work holds up.

Both visits were about an hour and went smoothly. A1 provided useful information. Only one thing, one guy could have cleaned up up the mess a little more - he seemed to be in a hurry. Happy overall.

They came right away and were so quick and tidy! I had another company that said they would have to tear up the whole system and replace it, which would be around $6500. I was overjoyed to have them come in, do the job for only $140, and solve the problem! Both of the guys that came out were delightful and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone.

They gave me a time that they would be here, they were here for about an hour, and everything was done. They could have been a little tidier but that?s not necessarily their responsibility. The price that they quoted me was the price that they charged and the drain hasn?t given me any problems since then.

We had floods in our basement (coming up out of the floor drain) every spring when we first moved into our house. We had a Pennysaver company snake the drain but it still overflowed during heavy rains. We finally tried A-1. They said the previous company didn't snake all the way to the street (90feet.) Also, we have a maple tree in the line of the pipe that kept filling the pipe with roots. Bottom line, A-1 figured all of this out, used the proper tools to cut the roots and we haven't had a floor in years. We still get the drain snaked every 3 years or so for maintenance. Also, I recommended A-1 to a friend whose sewer was backing up into her yard. A-1 figured out a quick and cheap fix for them. We are thrilled with their work and (obviously) recommend them highly.

We had a sewage drain in the garage backup over the weekend. Called A 1 Sewer Cleaning Monday morning and they had a team out to our house in 20 mins (Amazing!). There were two men and it took approximately one hour. They were outstanding! The were prompt, thorough and professional.

During the recent huge storm, we started having water enter the house because our storm drain had clogged up. More rain was coming, and I knew that it would be a busy day for this sort of work. I called A1 at 8:30 and left a message. BY 10:15 they had called me back. By 4 they had a guy come out. He was professional, polite, and solved the problem quickly, dealing with an unexpectedly balky mains access. $149.99 for the cleaning, and no charge if he can't clear it (he could, though!)

A clogged down spout was overflowing each time it rained and water was getting into the basement. I called A-1 and they sent a crew out the next day. The pipe was very small and tough to get the snake into, but Josh and Mike were able to get the equipment in there and clear the pipes in a short amount of time. They were very easy to talk to, checked out a couple other issues I had inside the basement, and answered all questions thoroughly, explaining the issues and workings of the drain pipes and sewer lines. I have had several workers come to the house for several different jobs, but none were as courteous and helpful as the crew from A-1.

They were going to come out the same day that I called them. However they got stuck on a job and were running late. We rescheduled for Wednesday morning. They came when they said they would. They knew exactly what to do and where to find the access point to get to our sewer lines. They used a camera to check to see if the clog was gone. They had the clog taken care of within a half an hour. The service was wonderful and they were terrific. I will recommend them to everyone and will use them again in the future as necessary.

When the boro recently had the main sewer lines cleaned I was told that the line from my home had dirt and debris that could or could not cause future problems. Because I had such problems years ago I wanted to do preventive maintainance by having it cleaned. Called A1 Sewer and they were at my home within days. The man doing the work was Mel. He was very efficient and knowledgable and took the time that was needed to do the job to completion. I can only assume the other employees are equally committed to doing a good job.

I had two other estimates from A Rooter Man ($2,000 - $3,000) and Mr. Rooter for ($9,980.00) to clear the drain. These companies told me that my drain was broken and needed to be replaced. They said they couldn't use a snake, that they needed to use a digital camera to see the blockage. Mr. Rooter said they used a hydrojet to try to clear the drain ($557.00). I do not believe that they actually performed this service. Then they gave me a written estimate of $9,980.00 for the work, and a verbal estimate of approximately $18,000 to excuvate, replace the line, take off front porch, remove sidewalks... and more. A! Sewer Cleaning Specialists came the next day. Snaked the drain with a new blade and charged me $169.99. The drain is fine. It is not collapsed. And the blockage was NOT were the other companies said it was located. There is simply not enough space here to say how professional and good A1 is at doing the job and fixing the problem.

I went into the basement and noticed the toilet had overflowed. Wasn't sure what the deal was so I cleaned up the mess and checked it again Sunday morning. The mess was back so I figured the sewer line was clogged. I called A 1 Sewer on Sunday afternoon and the lady I spoke with said that the team would contact me Monday morning around 8am. This was not an emergency for me, just a messy inconvenience. I received a call around 8:15am Monday morning and I was informed that there were 2 customers in front of me, but a team of 2 would be arriving at my home in the late AM. A 1 called around 11:40am to tell me they were on there way. They showed up and went right to work. A 1 needed access into the plumbing stack but the cap was not budging. The stack itself was wobbly so A 1 provided me with 2 different solutions to gain access to the stack and I was able to choose which one I felt comfortable with. Once the cap came off it was only about 15 minutes until they were done using the snake in the basement and went outside and snaked the rest of the way down to the main road. A 1 informed me that there work was guaranteed and even left a document stating so. A 1 said to give them a call if I had any issues and they would be back to resolve.
