Description of Work: A1 ran a camera in my sewage lines to locate them as the house was built long before building codes existed. They arrived on time and were very knowledgeable about the services being provided. I was quoted a price for the work prior to setting up the appointment. Due to the house being so old and built without codes, the technician could not camera the entire line but was able to locate the line in the yard in order for it to be dug up. Since they were not able to camera the entire line, the price I paid was less than I was quoted.

Description of Work: Cleaning/unclog of main sewer line from the basement floor drain to the curb. Attempted first to handle on my own. I rented a $50 electric snake for the day from home depot for $48. Was able to sucessfully run the snake through three times with several tips. The clog required a larger snake that was not available to completely fix the problem. Called them due to their reviews. Mike called me within 10 mins of my original call and stated they would be able to do it the same day without extra charges. The price quoted on the phone was the price they charged me. They came the same day and it took about 20 mins to unclog. I would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: We have been getting some water in our basement during heavy rains. We suspected that there might be an issue with our downspout drains since our house is around 55 years old and the pipes are probably orginal. A1 video taped the drains, told us where the pipes go and where there might be issues.

Description of Work: The water from our roof downspout was going into a drain which was clogged with roots. We did not know what the problem was, but water would go into our basement during a storm. They had the equipment and skills to solve our problem without delay or unforeseen problems. They used their electric snake to retrieve debris and roots from the drain pipe. They tested it with water running for a while. they left their workplace in good shape. Then they checked out the two floor drains in our garages. One was clogged, and they cleaned it out quickly. They are specialists in drain / sewer cleaning. That is all they do. They do the work themselves, it is not contracted out. They provide top level service.

Description of Work: My laundry tubs backed up. This also happened several yrs ago. I knew to tell the person I spoke with that they need to bring a long snake to run under the house. They arrived shortly thereafter, used the snake. Problem solved.

ANOTHER COMPETENT PLUMBER WHOM WE TRUST WAS UNSUCCESSFUL IN OPENING THE DRAIN THE DAY BEFORE SO WE CHECKED ANGIE'S LIST & CALLED A 1. I CALLED AT 10:00 P.M. AND RECEIVED A RETURN CALL IN 10 MINUTES. WE WERE PUT ON THE LIST FOR THEIR FIRST VISIT THE NEXT MORNING, WILLIAM MCGAVERN CALLED US TO LET US KNOW WHEN THE CREW WAS DISPATCHED TO OUR HOME. THEY USED CUTTERS ON THE END OF AN ELECTRIC SNAKE AND FOUND TWO CLOGS OF TREE ROOTS. DISTANCE TO FIRST CLOG WAS ABOUT 65 FEET AND ABOUT 120 TO THE SECOND. THE TECHNICIANS WERE MELL AND CHRIS. POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. BY THE WAY, I AM A REGISTERED PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER AND VERY DEMANDING, BUT THESE PEOPLE DID A WONDERFUL JOB AND I CANNOT FIND A THING WRONG WITH ANYTHING THEY DID. I AM EXTREMELY IMPRESSED WITH THE ENTIRE OUTFIT. THIS FIRM DOES NOT CHARGE IF THEY DO NOT OPEN YOUR SEWER AND GIVE A 60 DAY WARRANTY. THEY DO NO DIGGING AND THUS HAVE NO INCENTIVE TO DIG UP YOUR YARD OR DRIVEWAY.
