Jack restored my deck with a fair price and a thorough, professional job. My deck was severely neglected and Jack made it look better than new. He's punctual, responsive and passionate about his craft. Would hire again.

We had an older deck that needed plenty of work. Jack came over on a Sunday and spent a good while explaining how he attack our deck. They went above and beyond to prepare it for staining. The end result is outstanding. Jack and Mike were very neat, professional and easy to work with.

I have used Jack in the past as he had laid hardwood flooring in another room last year and did a great job. The floor that was being refinished was in good shape but major issue being landing stepoff from hall and dining room to a sunken LR. compounding the height discrepancy was the removal of an inch of carpeting and pad. Jack had to fabricate and install the steps and they turned out great. The flooring throughout the first floor is a dark hickory the LR flooring a light oak. Jack took great care to attempt to match the color and it looks great. Highly recommend Jack and and team for any floor project. He gives ample time regarding start time and once started continued on project until complete. Have no reservations in recommending him highly. In fact will be back in near future to install new flooring in another room.

We contacted Jack and he was prompt the following day providing us with a reasonable estimate. His personality and friendship corresponded to his work which I would observe in two visits. Jack and his assistant worked the entire time never leaving the property. He explained thoroughly what the job entailed and at the conclusion my walls and driveway looked as though they were just poured. In addition he nailed a small portion in our kitchen which needed fixed. If we ever need any further home improvements, I will call him immediately. My property was spotless when he left and I had a great time conversing with him making jokes, and in the end I said, "You were wonderful and thanks for an outstanding job!" I will give him an A+

I had a pretty complex project replacing the steps of my 100+ year old porch. Several others had declined the work. When we got into the project, we found that the supporting structure was rotten. Jack built a custom new structure and installed the composite. It is unbelievably sturdy now. Jack is a rare find. A true craftsman who can adapt to changing conditions and is also sensitive to the cost to the client. He kept us in the loop throughout the process. I'll be hiring him again for my rear deck.

Jack is great. He was prompt, precise, and an extremely hard worker. He refinished our dining room and entrance way to restore them to pristine condition. He sanded out giant stains and abided by his timeline. He did everything he said he would, and went above and beyond. Highly recommend.

We are over-the-top happy with the job. Our three upstairs wood floors (2 bedrooms and a hall) were in terrible shape: “picture-frame” varnish around all walls, carpet glue, splits, pits, scrapes, sun-bleached and speckled with heavy paint spatters. Joe Fuze is a craftsman who turned our floors into things of beauty. He has a deep understanding of his craft and is very good at communicating what he can do. Shows up on time. Maintains an immaculate work site. Charges a fair price. Finished ahead of schedule. Charged exactly as estimated. Gives very solid instructions for maintaining the natural beauty of refinished wood floors. My wife cried twice during this project, the first time when she first lifted the carpet and saw how terrible the floors looked, the second time when she saw the beauty of his finished work. I'll add my voice to the many others that had lots of good things to say about the work Jack did. He quickly diagnosed why my deck wasn't holding stain that others had done, requiring him to sand it down before staining it again. Others offered my cheaper prices, but I had been down that road before, and it never worked. Jack provided me a solution to the problem. in every regard, Jack was a consummate professional. He kept me informed along the way. He gave me a heads up every time the weather kept him from being able to do the work. And, the work he did reflects decades of experience on his part. Jack came to me via a personal recommendation from a friend that hired Jack to do some work for him. My friend staked his reputation on that. And, I'll stake my reputation on strongly recommending Jack.

Jack was very thorough in scoping out the job--and did everything he promised and more. He cares deeply about the quality of his work and carefully explains what he is doing and why. He also arrived when he said he would each day and ensured that the area was restored to its original condition when the work was done. His was not the lowest bid we received, but we had the most confidence in how he would replace these support beams in a way that would last. I would highly recommend Jack and look forward to working with him on Phase 2 of our project, cleaning and restaining the deck.

Jack did a great job. He came out last summer to give me the quote for pressure washing, sanding and staining the deck. And he worked with me to wait to delay the work until this spring. While I was clearing deck off for the cleaning, I noticed some rotting on one of the stringers. Jack was able to seemlessly add the replacement of the stringer into the job for a reasonable price. Final result was a repaired and beautifully refinished deck. Top quality work.

Repairs and pressure were great. First coat of paint was not color agreed to with Jack. He was responsive and fixed the color issue with a complete repaint within a week. He stands behind his work and his word.

Jack was extremely thorough and efficient in refinishing our hardwood floors in our kitchen, dining room and foyer. They came out looking brand new. Their gleaming appearance is readily apparent. Jack even came back for a small spot that was missed. He is very meticulous in his work and is a true perfectionist. This job was done to get our home ready for selling. Our real estate agent was also very impressed with his work.

Mr. Jack Fuze is a class act. Although he no longer builds new decks, Jack thoroughly explained the costs and time constraints associated with this particular job. I gained a greater insight into what a job like this entails, and for that am grateful. You can't go wrong with a person of character like this.

Jack is a true perfectionist in his craft which is what you want when hiring someone for deck restoration. He is very meticulous and compulsive in his work and will not be satisfied until the final product meets the highest standard. His pricing isn't cheap but still competitive with two other bids that I received. But he goes above and beyond and even did a couple of extra things that were not in the contract. He was very professional, courteous, reliable and responsive. I would hire him again and in fact have also notified him of another job that I have.

Contractor showed up within a few days of when promised. Homeowner had cleared area. After work began, it proceeded sporadically. Sanding was done with Orbital sander. As a result, contractor could not remove some water stains in the wood. Three layers oil base polyurethane were applied. The resulting appearance when dry was uneven. A number of areas were raised or "puddled". Also, long hairs from a worker were embedded in the finish at a number of places. This was pointed out to the vendor who said he could do nothing about it. For a service sold as a premium "product", the resulting quality was poor. I would not use the service again, nor would people who've seen the result use the service.

Jack did a great job, Power washed deck and we realized the old stain was coming off in sheets. Jack sanded down the deck and applied new stain. Looks brand new.

Everything went well. Jack gave me a quote and was able to start work within a week. He kept in contact throughout the process, continually giving me updates as the job progressed. He refinished my dining room, living room, entryway, and stairs. The whole process took around 10 days. The floor turned out great and looks great. I will use Jack again when I get around to refinishing the floors in the rest of my house and would recommend him to anyone looking to have their floors refinished.

Last year we had someone else install a new mahogany deck on our front porch. They did a fine job with the installation, but they didn't do a good job of staining and sealing it. The color was patchy and inconsistent and we weren't sure whether it was properly sealed. I contacted Jack because of his strong reviews and because he specialized in both refinishing decks and working on interior hard wood floors. We spent extra money for mahogany, so we wanted to make sure it looked good and lasted for years to come. I couldn't have been more impressed with Jack and his work. I don't think I've every met someone so into their work. Jack seems to know everything related to hardwood decking and floors. Woods, stains, sealants, fasteners, sanding techniques--it was like every time we spoke was a detailed education about everything related to our project. Well, that knowledge and dedication truly paid off. Our porch looks truly amazing. And throughout, Jack was a perfect professional--prompt in his communication, on time for his work, and dedicated to finishing our job. I know I'll use Jack for all of my future floor, deck, and refinishing needs.

Jack did an Excellent job! He came in and described in very detail the process he would take in restoring/staining my deck. In this application, preparation is all the key to a fine end product. Jack did not cut corners, explained his steps fully. Anyone that knows anything about Decks would understand Jacks process and appreciate his attention to detail . I can safely say every board on my deck (and it is not small) was attended to by sanding/stain application process. It was not done "half/way" by what some may encounter with other companies. I appreciate his work, and will certainly keep him in mind for any other projects I may have in future, ie. hardwood flooring,. Thanks Jack!

Jack was responsive and had the deck stained within a couple weeks of us calling him. He was thorough in explaining how he'd get the job done and gave us a very fair price. After he finished and was packing up for the day, he noticed he missed a spot on the base of the deck (a spot only visible from ground level). He probably could've just left and we may not have even noticed, but he was back in a week to finish the job right. He even put an extra coat of stain on with no upcharge. We will definitely use him again in the future.

Experience was great overall...Jack and his crew are extremely thorough, detail-oriented, honest and professional. The deck work came out beautifully. We would certainly use their services for any of our wood maintenance needs.

We called Jack (the owner) in the fall to get an estimate on the repair, cleaning, and staining/sealing of our deck. He got back to us quickly and came out on a Saturday to do the estimate. It was too late in the season to do the work and he said he'd call us in early spring. Sure enough, he did! He was ready to schedule the work but unfortunately right at that time we had a short-term medical situation going on. He understood and said he'd call back in a few weeks and he did. We scheduled the work to begin on Monday 5/8. Because the forecast called for warm temps and sun all week Jack thought he'd be able to start the work on Monday and return to complete it on Thursday or Friday. When the forecast changed to Thursday/Friday rain, he called on Tuesday and said he would complete the job on Wednesday which he did. Jack is a consummate professional. He calls and shows up when he says he will and his work is excellent. We highly recommend him!

Jack did a tremendous job refinishing my hardwood floors! Jack was on time, fairly priced and is a expert at what he does with hardwood flooring. I will use JDF Services again and will refer the company to any individual looking for help with their hardwood floors.
