Spoke with Jack on the phone. He was polite, and responsive. He showed up to meet on time, and gave a very detailed estimate of the work that would need to be done, and at a reasonable price.

It was okay. The final finish was uneven. The polyurethane had imperfections and things stuck in it like fibers. He didn’t redo the coat, he just touched up certain parts and it looks like he touched it up with another gloss type so some spots are shinier than other parts. In some spots of the floor there is still visible sanding so you can see spiral sander scratches. He was also supposed to fix the trim on the staircase and he just didn’t do one of the steps so there is just nothing there and I will have to do that myself. There is stain on most of our baseboards. Overall, we’re disappointed in the work. I would not recommend him. Had I known the quality of his work, I would have gladly paid thousands of dollars more for better quality. Up until the finished product, he was a nice guy but the quality just wasn’t there.

smooth sailing from start to finish. No one else was interested as it was a small job but Jack said (wisely) it was a way to connect with a possible customer for future projects and now it looks as though he will build a deck for my front porch. He is professional, meticulous, uses only the best materials for the job. He is focused and finished the project on time. I hink any homeowner would enjoy working with him.

Came and gave an estimate for service then never showed up to do the job despite multiple calls

I called and left a message to contact me to discuss my needs. about a week later I got a call and we discussed what I wanted done. he indicatedhe had a busy schedule at the time and would call in 2 weeks to setup appointment. several weeks went by and I then called and left messages several times but he never did get in touch with me.

I think they did a nice job and everything went pretty well. 2 guys came out, the owner and a helper. They washed and stained a fence and even did some small repairs to it. I think they went above and beyond.

We are very pleased with the work JDF Services (Jack Fuze) performed at our residence. From the start, Jack was very approachable and it was apparent from the beginning to the end of the process that he was very familiar with wood work. He gave a firm price up front and did not deviate from it, apart from our direction of work. Every question regarding added cost was answered up front and clearly. Jack, unlike most contractors we've met, is easily accessible and will return calls, even call the customer proactively. From his choice of the deck boards (center cut vs. outer pieces) to the way he went about the process, explaining everything to the customer, was top notch. We noticed that he even mitered some of the wood edges on the table top and center posts for detail, very nice touch. He only works with one assistant, who also is very knowledgeable and hard-working. I want to stress that he will not push products on the customer and will follow your direction strictly, so be clear with what you want. Personally, we leaned on his expertise in assessing our deck's structural integrity and followed his suggestions, which were very practical and did not add much cost to the final product. The work we received for the price was very competitive and he logged in many hours at our residence. If you have ever had deck work of any kind done at your residence, you understand how expensive it can be just for materials. Therefore, in summation, we are quite pleased with JDF Services and will have them return when we have the financial means, to complete other jobs on our 180 year old home. Please give JDF a call if you have wood work to be done.

Mr. Fuze is very experienced in all aspects of wood decks. Mine is old and had loose steps, broken latticework, some warped boards, and was faded and dirty. He repaired all aspects, replacing some wood,pressure washed and used a mechanical scrubber to clean it, sanded all the flat surfaces of the bench and railings, and restained it with an opaque stain similar to the previous application. He and a helper did all the work. It took several days and the only delay in completing the job was due to the weather. I had a time constraint in needing to get the job done before my daughter's upcoming wedding and he worked me into his busy schedule so it would be finished in time. He communicated well, returned all phone calls, and did a first class job. He is not cheap, but the work is worth the price, in my opinion. If you need anything of any sort done on a deck, he is the man for the job.

I called him on Memorial Day weekend and even though he was out of town, he still answered the phone and politely explained that he was backed up, and wouldn't be able to get to me until late in June or even in July. I have no complaints about him, but I needed the work done sooner so I got a refund on the Deal.

I signed up for the Big Deal of $249.00 for deck power washing and sealing. My credit card was immediately charged. I called the provider on April 9 and left a message. He returned my call on April 13 and said he would contact me in a few weeks. When I had not heard from him by May 4, I left another message explaining that I didn't expect the job to be completed immediately but just asked if he could stop by to give me an idea of the work necessary and stain sample so that I could submit an alteration request to my home owners association. I explained that approval could take about a month. By May 24, I still had not received a return call so I left another similar message but asked for a return call by May 28. Since I never received a call back, I have cancelled my order. Based on previous excellent reviews of his work, I am disappointed at this outcome and, perhaps, the Big Deal response was "over his head" but how hard is it just to return a potential customer's call?

Jack was very thorough and professional. He showed up at my home and gave solid insight as to whether or not to refinish the deck on our new home. He gave a detailed estimate outlining what was to be included in the scope of work. The contract was exactly the same. No surprises. The deck is approximately 500 - 600 square feet in size and also has a flight of stairs with a landing. This deck had not been treated or cared for in several years. Over the course of about 2 weeks, Jack and his helper, Bob, put in about 40 hours on the deck and it now looks almost as good as new. Jack used Sherwin Williams DeckScapes, which is probably the best stain on the market, and it took about 6 gallons. He also replaced three boards that were in questionable condition. My wife and I are very happy with the work and hope to enjoy our deck for several years to come.

Mr. Fuze called me within a few days of the purchase to say that he would be calling again to schedule a time to come to my house and take a look at the deck to evaluate the scope of the job. About a week later he called again saying the same thing. Some time after that he called a third time, this time sying that he was going to be in our neighborhood on a certain day and would like to stop by to evaluate our job. It turned out, however, that he was confused about our location and he was actually going to be in a different part of town some miles away. He said that he would call back when he was going to be in our part of town. That was 3 or 4 weeks ago and since then he has not called back or responded to a phone message I left him for last week.

I originally purchased the BIG Deal for $249.00 power wash and stain for 200 sq ft. Jack scheduled a visit to my home to look at the deck. The deal would only cover the floor of the deck and Jack quoted me $1500 for entire job (which included my deal price). He explained his technique in detail which also included sanding and repairing any loose nails or boards. After this visit Jack provided me with a detailed contract outlining everything we spoke about. This was something I had not received on prior deals. Jack followed up with me every step of the way. He is very courteous and professional. The price is right for the beautiful work he does. He goes above and beyond for his customers and has no hidden costs or takes shortcuts. My deck is about 13 yrs old and I had done very little maintenance. Jack and his worker arrived the initial day, they helped with moving some items off the deck which were too heavy for me. They power washed the deck and it looked like a new deck. He followed up with me that evening. We let it air for a couple days and then they returned to begin the staining. Jack made sure everything was done to my liking. He applied 2 full coats of stain so that it would last longer. I appreciate the honesty, fair pricing and beautiful work Jack does...he really takes pride in what he does. I will definitely hire him again and highly recommend his service. Outstanding customer communication, professional and very knowledgeable.

Never got a call back from company

This was a very positive experience and I would recommend this company for any flooring needs, outside and inside. Jack called me within 24 hrs of my purchase to arrange a time to come to give a final estimate. He was prompt, courteous and obviously knew his trade. Since my deck size fit the specifications of this deal, he was ready to start the job within a week. We set up a day, I bought the stain required for my association and was reimbursed by Jack. He came one morning as agreed upon,, right on time. He needed access to the water and was careful not to damage any siding or areas down below the deck. Once the deck dried and weather permitted, he specified when he would return to stain, telling me that he would use ladders up and over the railing and no access to the house was needed. This allowed me to go to work that day. When I returned, all was done and perfectly cleaned up. Jack even called later that evening to make sure I was pleased with the result. The deck looks wonderful and doing business with Jack Fruze was a pleasure!

Jack was very responsive in contacting me after I purchased the special deal on Angie's List. He provided me with an estimate of the service needed. Given that deck maintenance is weather dependent, he kept in touch on when he would return to finish the job. Communication was excellent. Jack is very fastidious with his work. He pressure washed and sanded the rough edges of the wood. He hand painted my deck and did an excellent job. Ii would recommend Jack to other customers.

He came on time and gave an estimate. The overall price was too high for us to have the work done. He was very polite and professional though, we just couldn't afford the extra costs.

It's beautiful. He helped us redesign our original plan in a creative way. He was very informative and told us we had to look at the foundation as we start to take it apart. He did a good job of cleaning things up along the way. He disclosed the prices along the way to help us make our decisions. He was very punctual; never late and always showed when he said he would. He was pleasant and easy to talk to.

I bought a little fixer upper house a few months ago. The Hard wood floors where completely trashed. There where old paint marks, deep stains, water damage, scratches, and old carpet nails. I didn't know what to do because i hate carpet, my sister had her floors in her house "deep Cleaned" by JDF Services and said that they did a great job and that they also refinish floors. She gave me Jack Fuze's number (the owner and "main guy" of JDF Services). I called Jack and within a day or two he came over and took a free estimate. He spent time going over what needed done, how he would do it, and what products he uses. my home was freshly painted the week before jack started, he explained that he uses a dustless sanding system and that minimizes any wood dust. That was important to me because i didn't want to mark up or dirty the new paint job. no wood dust anywhere when he left by the way. During the time he was doing the estimate he showed me before, during, and after pictures of previous jobs he had done. Very impressive work! At this time he also went over what color options you can pick from for the stain. my home is a smaller ranch and as far as i know jack did all the work him self, i know he has a few people that work with him but i think jack is always at the job sites. I called him a few days later to let him know that i decided to have the work done, a few days later Jack started the work at my home. Jack is a very nice personable guy, he kept in contact with me throughout the whole process letting me know his progress and his next step in the progress ect. He is very professional, trustworthy, punctual, and you can tell that he enjoys what he does and making peoples homes nice for them. He is a very detailed person and uses the best products on the market, to insure that the job he does lasts a long time and looks great. He is GREAT at answering and explaining any questions concerns i had throughout the whole process. the whole process from start to finnish took a little over a week, some of that time was waiting for the floor to dry/ cure. i would stop in from time to time and every time i did i was very happy with the quality of work and the care that he put towards his work. he also impressed me with all the little detail work that most companies do not care about. My closet floors look as nice as the main floors, things like that he goes that extra mile to make sure every inch of the floors look great. I had him do the floors in the whole house, minus the kitchen. the floors now look AMAZING! i couldn't be more pleased with the out come. evryone who has seen the floors cant even belive that its the same floor they look so nice.While Jack was doing the work at my home he noticed my retaining wall was leaning and the drive way could use a new layer of gravel. he informed me that he and his company do that sort of work too. i know they do all aspects of wood work, and they also do a fair amount of out door work also. I was very glad to learn that, because now when i decide to do the out side work i know who to call. Jack seems to take a huge amount of pride in his work. i will definitely use him again, and would recommend him to any one who wants a quality job done by some one who takes such care in what they do. He is worth every dime, what a great guy! thanks Jack!

Jack and I had discussed replacing the plain concrete slab mantle with a wood one when he was here rebuilding my retaining wall this spring. (he did an excellent job rebuilding the wall) We decided the wood for the mantle would be redone, stained with Java bean color, with a bottom profiled edge & polyurethane. He came, and ever so carefully removed the concrete mantle & chipped away the mortar it was in - which took time. He was considerate with not making a mess in my house. He did an excellent job. I am thrilled with the new mantle. It's just beautiful. I highly recommend Jace for my projects.

He's been amazing. He calls me all the time to update me as to his progress and we've met with him multiple times. He brought me a special sample board just for the color I wanted and his price was the lowest to do the restore. He's very detailed oriented and we've been exceptionally pleased. He's been working crazy hours to make sure we can get into the house when we need to. He seems like a perfectionist and his price was very competitive.

He did an excellent job washing, sanding and stain/sealing the deck. He was very diligent in making sure that we understood what was and was not to be done. There was no "I thought you said" - everyone was happy. He exceeded our expectations in the quality of his work. Each step was completed to his high standards before the next step was started. We had some obstacles for him to overcome - the deck is screened in. He was constantly thinking of ways to get the outcome that he wanted. His estimate on the amount of stain to be used was right on. I would definitely use his company for other projects.

Jack (owner)was very easy to get a hold of, always returned my calls and very prompt and on time when I met with him. He is clearly a man whose top priority is to provide the most excellent, well crafted final product for his customer and takes great pride in his work. Having just bought a house, we couldn't afford to do a full floor refinishing but Jack was understanding and offered this different service, saving us $1,000. Very grateful! He also left the Bona microfiber mop and cleaning solution recommended. Jack and his assistant JR were so nice to speak with and the floors look amazing! Highly recommended. May not be the cheapest, but if craftsmanship, quality,and a genuinely good human being are qualities you want, JDF is your man!!

Our experience was excellent. His work is very detail oriented, clean and neat. The price was very good versus other bids I received too. He was punctual and called every time before he came. He would call back immediately and I never had to wonder whether or not he would show up. He also took his shoes off when he came in.
