Jason called to let us know he could come by early. He arrived and promptly went to work removing the old ceiling fan and installing a new chandelier in our dining room. The earlier phone estimate we received from him had been based on my assumption that the ceiling fan had no electrical box. When Jason saw that the fixture did have a box there already, that lowered the price of the install, which was certainly a welcome change. We will definitely go with Hufnagel Electric in the future for any electrical issues!! Thank you!

Came out the same day I called and arrived earlier than scheduled. We will call them for any future electrical service. They replaced a GFI in the bathroom that was improperly wired and unsafe. Also installed a box in the garage where there were wires hanging. They worked efficiently and cleaned up when the job was finished.

They were excellent and very professional. They were competitively priced. They were professional. They showed up when they said they were going to. They made sure to work to our satisfaction. They were very attentive for what we wanted to do.

Our house is over 100 years old and we had an odor problem and needed to find the cause. The plumbers investigated possible causes and decided to take out the toilet. That appeared to be the problem, but we decided that the whole bathroom needed to be redone and the tub location moved. My son did all the tear-out and then they came and installed all new plumbing. They were very professional and were willing to work around my son since he had to reinforce the floor for under the tub, so they came back the next day and installed the tub and got the water hooked up. They also had to cap off a live gas pipe running under the floor and install new shut off valves to the bathroom. Installing the sink pipes involved climbing down into a crawl space under the attic stairs. I had been worried about anyone using a blow torch under there and they even mentioned they wouldn't want to use one in there even before I thought to mention it. They used "pecks". Don't know how to spell it. They were very nice, competent and helpful.

Jason and Dave showed up nice and early in the morning. We chose them because of the low quote we received (actual price ended up being about $50 bucks more because they needed 20 feet more 220 line than initially thought, but they were still very well priced compared to other quotes) and because of the professionalism we received from the first phone call to the completion of the job. They installed the 50ft of 220 line by running it in the basement ceiling between and through the cross boards so its completely unnoticeable. They installed the electrical wall outlet close to the dryer exhaust wall outlet to make it easy for us to place the dryer. We got the 30 amp electric dryer off craigslist and didn't realize the dryer whip was a 50 amp line and plug with different prongs. My wife and I are handy ourselves and Dave and Jason walked us through what we needed to do to buy a 30 amp whip for the dryer and installing it so we wouldn't need to schedule them to come back. The whole installation and our trip to HD was over in an hour and a half and now we can dry our clothes in our home. Dave and Jason were very helpful and professional. They offered tips for other small fixes in our breaker box that we can do ourselves as well. We recommend them to anyone.

Jason provided an excellent design for our problem and gave us a written quote at a reasonable price by the end of the day. They came on time at the date of appointment and performed the work as specified in a timely manner. Overall this was a high quality and very professional service. Highly recommended.

They promptly came and rendered quotes and information regarding our lighting needs. When we decided to only install the one light fixture and hold off on the rest there was no problem. They arrived on time, where neat as a pin, friendly and professional. Any electrical needs we have in the future will only be done by this company.

They were punctual and professional. High quality work. He had to refinish some drywall to install the sconces and went above and beyond in fixing the drywall. They cleaned up when they finished and it looked great. Very happy with the service and I would highly recommend them.

They are a Father and Son team. They were on time. They went above and beyond with the work that they said they were going to do. They are knowledgable and they let me know everything they were doing before they were going to do it. They did the inspection and did some re-wring as well. They are an excellent company and I recommend them to everyone. I wished Angie's List would let me give them A+'s for everything.

I called on Mother's day and much to my surprise, they actually came that afternoon. Did not charge extra for Sunday. I talked with Jason to arrange everything. He was very nice and communicative. I'm not an electrician but it looks as though they did a good job; they were conscientious that it was done correctly.

Overall they did an excellent job. Please refer to the previous comments. I would have them come back to do jobs in the future, in fact, I will probably have them replace the main box in my garage. I also would refer my friends to them.

My old garage was knocked off its foundation and demolished in a car accident so the insurance company is reimbursing me for the cost to build a new garage. The only thing that I am unhappy with is the fact that my insurance company required a letter of completion from the contractor before they would reimburse me. Jason told me he was going to add $50.00 for his time & trouble since he had to do this plus he wasn't getting paid at the completion of his work. That is all well and good, except that the insurance company didn't reimburse me for that so it came out of my pocket.

When I called, the owner was on the other line and promised an immediate callback, which actually happened. I told him what our home inspection report said that I needed and asked for an appointment. He actually fit me in that evening when he was in the area on another job. After booking, he asked me some specific questions about what I saw in the electrical box so he could bring the right stock. He explained his pricing and where it could vary. He was on time, respectful, efficient, professional and on budget. He did explain to me other services that I might need, but was very professional when I declined. I have already recommended him to family and friends and will continue to do so. I will also use his services again.

He explained everything to me and answered all my questions. He even gave me advice on other electrical problems I had. He was very friendly and very likeable. I felt very comfortable with him and appreciative of the advice he gave me. I will definetly call him in the future for any other electrical problems I have. I am very happy I found him because now I don't have to worry about scouting around trying to find someone trustworthy and honest or feel I am being overcharged as his price was very reasonable. Yes, this will definetly be my electrical company from now on. I highly recommend them if you need an electrician.

Our experience with Hufnagel Electric was positive from start to finish. At the beginning, they came to our house and gave us a detailed written bid. The bid was significantly lower than another company we sought out through Angie's list. And the higher bidder did not go into the same level of analysis as Hufnagel did either. Then when the work began, Hufnagel stuck to the bid while working on the job. We had a lot of work done, everything from replacing two-pronged indoor outlets to installing a new incoming cable/circuit box. I found Jason Hufnagel in particular to be extremely professional, polite, patient, and honest. He seemed to have an excellent understanding of his craft and was very patient in explaining things. Before he would cut into the plaster to run some wiring, he would warn us that there was the risk of cracking due to the age of our house. Small gestures like that were appreciated. (And the damage was minimal).

Jason and his father arrived prompltly at the scheduled time to hang a light in my two story foyer. They worked methodically and professionally to erect scafolding to reach the light. The entire job was completed within an hour. Jason was a true professional as I had requested he move the light down a bit (my bad, as I had indicated it was a good placement at the time) and while his father was hesitant to do this, Jason was very amenable and made the adjustment without a second thought ...good guy! Defnitely would use him again!

We had tried to install a replacement light in the basement to no avail. Called Hufnagel - they were immediately responsive and came out in a day or two. Turns out we had a defective new light so they replaced it and replaced another light for us.

Hufnagel Electric gave a window time between 8 and 10 and they arrived 9:00 am. The team of three- Dad and his two sons,started right away. They informed me of when the power would be off and as the work progressed would keep me informed of what was happening. Jason and Brian would show me the work as each job was completed ( the new light fixture over the washer) and the new panel in stages so I could see the "insides" of the panel. The work also involved the outside meter, new entrance cable and the proper grounding of the load center. The work took about 5 and half hours. They were very professional from the first call to set up an estimate to cleaning up the area when they were done. Jason was very helpful in giving information in my dealings with Duquesne Light and because my house is in the city of Pittsburgh, he is handling the paperwork for the permit and followup inspection.

We had our entire basement on one breaker, and were having problems with power failures. Jason responded promptly to my call and was able to stop by to give an estimate the same day after he finished a nearby job. He was pleasant, polite and professional and explained things in such a way that we could understand the problems. He explained what needed to be done to correct the problem and comply with code. We scheduled the work for the following Monday and he arrived with his equally pleasant, polite and professional father as it was a 2 person job. They were prompt, efficient, and easy to have working in the house. I will definitely use them again.

I was not happy with them at all. I would not recommend them to anyone. They were really bad.

I called because two of the light fixtures in my basement gave me problems. The first one blew up in my hand when I tried to change the lighbulb. The second one was flickering and making noises. The estimate was the same as the price that was charged to me. He explained everything, and he was fast and efficient.

They arrived in the predicted time. They immediately set to work measuring, running, and connecting the electrical components in my basement. No problems. This is the second time I used their services. They are professional, personable, prompt, and polite.
