Work was performed by three guys, very organized and efficient. The company is very professional and were able to perform the work fairly quickly which is what we needed. They were also able to give an estimate over the phone since the work was straightforward. There were no surprises.

I've used Hufnagel at my place of business several times and needed some things done at my home. Honest, efficient, timely, reasonable, professional, personable and they go above-and-beyond. I see no reason for me to use another electrician again. It's nice to know that I now "have a guy(s)" to call for all of my electrical needs. I would/will recommend this family-owned, Pittsburgh based business to anyone. Frankly, you would be foolish to go with someone else.

They came in and were incredibly professional. After dealing with over twenty different contractors through our builder, they were by far the most professional we have worked with. They were prompt, came with four guys, and took care of everything. I appreciated them showing me all of the issues and taking time to explain why things were not done to code. They were efficient and knew what they were doing. They took photos for us and actually came out twice to replace the remainder of the outlets for us. I honestly would never use another company, as they did fantastic work making sure everything was up to code and working properly. Safety is there number one priority and they make sure the customer is well informed. As we get ready to finish our basement we look forward to continue our relationship with them. Do not hesitate to use them in the future! An absolutely wonderful family owned local business worth supporting.

My experience with Hufnagel Electric was fantastic! Jason responded to my initial inquiry within 24 hours and was able to give me an estimate over the phone, which matched the final bill exactly. Jason and Steve arrived at the agreed upon time and discussed with me everything that needed to be done. Both gentleman were professional and respected my home while they worked. I appreciated that both Jason and Steve took the time to explain to me what they had done and the pricing for each work item. Steve performed that safety inspection and clearly explained all the items of concern as well as how to resolve them. Jason followed up by emailing me a copy of the final safety report a few days later. All work was done extremely well in a timely manner. I highly recommend Hufnagel Electric!

Electrician was incredibly helpful and friendly. We used their service to help address issues from a home inspection. We have called them several times with questions and they have been incredibly nice and provided additional information to help ensure we fix all of the issues that we needed to fix. I called Hufnagel because we were tripping circuit breakers whenever running more than one appliance at a time in our kitchen. My original call was returned promptly, and upon an original inspection, a quote was prepared. We accepted the quote and scheduled the work. The crew arrived at the time they promised, and were not here for more than four hours. The gentlemen were knowledgeable, friendly, and more than willing to answer our questions. Hufnagel also scheduled the required follow-up independent inspection, which went without a hitch, lasting about 10 minutes. I would gladly recommend Hufnagel Electric for any household electrical work.

I chose this company based on the reviews here on Angie's List to do electrical work that is beyond my scope while upgrading my bathroom. All of my calls were returned promptly by Jason who scheduled a free estimate before doing any actual work. The job was scheduled within a few days of my receiving and agreeing the estimate. They called to notify me 30 minutes before arriving, completed the job and cleaned up the dust afterwards. A few hours later I have everything where I need it to be so that I can finish my bathroom without having to worry about the electrical aspect. Pleasant and professional. I will definitely use this company again.

Very impressed. We received a full estimate via e-mail the same day as the appointment. The guys came out to install the wiring for the spa pool and we needed to upgrade our panel to accommodate. The work was done in one day. Once the spa pool was delivered they returned promptly to complete the hook up. They were professional, polite and helpful. We will definitely call for our next job.

Hufnagel was easy to contact by phone and very professional. After exchanging a few calls, they sent me a formal quote which I accepted and scheduled the work. On the day of the job, the electrician arrived on time and called ahead to make sure I was aware he was scheduled. We did a walk through of the two jobs replacing our light fixtures. After that, the electrician did everything and I was able to get some work done. Both of the repairs were done correctly and the electrician explained the work he had done to update one of the electrical connections in our 50+ year old house. He listened to and answered all of my questions and was very easy to talk to, despite my poor knowledge of electrical. After he was finished, I asked him about some other areas that we had questions about and the electrician performed a free inspection to verify the basic safety of our current electrical and identify a couple areas that we wanted to look into. Great job!

Everything went smoothly. The installers were prompt, professional, and got the work done quickly. Very happy with them and would certainly call them again.

Jason, responded immediately (in person) to my request. Got me the quote in a few days which was very well detailed and exactly what I was asking for. On the day of the install Jason and one co-worker arrived, he went through the steps with me prior to starting. I was very specific where I wanted the GFCI and the light placed. As they progressed they looked to me for approval, rather than just placing them. When they were completed they stepped through what was done, and tested each box and the light. I was originally going to have another electrician come in and do the work but I was so impressed with the reviews on Angie's I felt I couldn't go wrong. Save yourself some time, don't waist your time getting multiple bids, you only need to call Jason and you will be so happy you did.

I scheduled the installation about a month ago and was worried when I didn't get a confirmation call in the days leading up. However, they called about half an hour before they arrived to let me know they were coming. Everyone was friendly and professional. Installations both look good and they cleaned up everything well. I hired Hufnagel Electric based on Angie's List reviews and didn't shop around, so I can't comment on how they're priced compared to other electricians.

They did a great job. From phone call to set up the appointment thru the visit, they were professional and polite, very neat and thorough. The guys needed to access the attic through a tiny closet and didn't flinch when I showed them. There phone estimate was spot on and they explained everything before proceeding with the work. Jason was very helpful prior to the visit, corresponding with me on some questions I had via email. A representative was sent out a few weeks prior to the appointment to provide the estimate. Jason and Dave arrived promptly on the morning of the appointment, and were friendly and efficient. The answered any questions that I had and did an excellent job. I will contact them with any future electrical needs that I have.

Jason was very responsive and professional each time we communicated. I have to admit I didn't shop around for price very much as they had high reviews on Angie's List and was referred by someone else I know. Risky, I suppose, but I trusted the existing reviews for that and wasn't necessarily looking for the cheapest option, I wanted the best and safest. As stated, Jason and his crew were professional and took time to answer questions as they came up. They installed new ceiling junction boxes in the house because there was knob and tube remaining in the ceiling lights. In the attic, when they replaced the light they discovered there was a new junction box up there, informed me of it and reduced that cost from the bill. Not a huge money difference of course, but a trust issue as they were working up in an attic and could have easily said they replaced a junction box there as that's what we had been expecting. They installed dbl pole 20-amp breaker in our attic for a future heating appliance. Once we determine what unit to us in that area, I will definitely be contacting Hufnagel again. We are just venturing into some home improvements and other experiences have left us disappointed. It's refreshing to have someone call you back promptly, answer questions clearly, detail what they are doing, arrive when they say they do, clean up when done, etc etc.

Jason and Dave were very professional, they did a fine job, they were honest with their estimate and did not try to sell me more than what I needed, Jason took the time to explain to me what they were going to do so that I understood exactly what I was paying for. They seem to take great pride in their work, and in satisfying their customers. I am very satisfied with the job they did
