Description of Work: They inspected a light fixture/circuit that had stopped working in my older home. Mr Hufnagel was extremely professional, answering phone calls and emails well after the typical working day ended. After finishing the work he did not run off to his next job. Rather he asked if I had anything else I wanted him to look at. He spent additional time with me inspecting the status of the circuit box and some older wiring in the house. I was also very pleased that they were able to fit my job in within four days of my phone call. I plan on using there services again. I was very pleased.

Description of Work: They found what caused the power in my garage and laundry room to keep going out and fixed the problem. They arrived when scheduled and were friendly as well as professional. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Description of Work: I had removal of wiring from an old hot tub and disconnect from panel box. I also needed update on an outlet that controls electronic equipment and cable. All in all the job was completed with little fuss and muss. All clean up was completed by the electricians. They were personable and professional to deal with and I will use them again for future jobs.

Hufnagel Electric performed troubleshooting on kitchen switches, family room ceiling fan, rear food light, lamp post & 11 other exterior lights that were not working properly. They installed a new j/c box, switch & necessary wiring to complete new LED flood light installation; installed new exterior round j/c box on far end of home to mount new LED flood light; installed 2 new high intensity LED 3-head flood lights on rear of home to illuminate entire backyard.

Description of Work: Contacted Hufnagel Electric on Friday 3/7/2014 and scheduled an appointment to get an estimate for several bathroom projects (i.e. moving vanity lights, installing towel warmer & lighted vanity mirror, adding receptacles, updating switches, etc.). The contractor selected the date and time, convenient for him, to provide the estimate (Monday 3/10 between 4 & 6 PM). He also stated he would call 15 min. to half an hour prior to his arrival to confirm he was on his way. Needless to say, Monday came and went without so much as a courtesy call to explain his absence. He did however, leave a phone message on Tuesday morning saying he simply 'forgot' our appointment, "Sorry". Had he arrived on time for our scheduled appointment, and found me not at home, I doubt that he would have sat in his truck for 2 hours waiting for me to show up. And I'm quite sure he would find my response of "Sorry, I forgot!" acceptable. Time is money to a contractor, but time is equally valuable to the consumer. Description of Work: Installed new electric box. Replaced old wiring. There were problems with improper electrical work that had been performed in the past. Dave and Jason were able to locate the source of each of the problems and explained them thoroughly. We approved each of the items that we wanted fixed or repaired. We consider ourselves fortunate to have the work done right. In addition, the team was punctual cleaned up and did outstanding work. I would recommend them to anyone (everyone).

Provides written estimates and or adjustments to final invoice for additional work requested. Partners with the homeowner and recommends work based on code requirements. They installed and performed the following services: 1. Installed new 50 amp breaker and 60 feet of 6/3 wire run for a new wall oven remodeling project. 2. Converted old 30 amp oven breaker and receptacle to 20 amp breaker for new warming drawer. 3. Installed new matching 6" recessed light fixture tied to the existing light switch. 4. Installed whole house surge protection and upgraded bedroom breakers to AFCI code compliant. 5. Complete electrical system check, panel trace, load/amp test. Jason builds a long term relationship which is why we rely on professional contractors. They will be slightly more than larger companies, but artisans in electrical work are hard to find and I don't need a parrot.

Description of Work: The circuit breaker on my furnace kept shutting off. They were polite, professional, explained they were doing, thoroughly checked everything. They changed a breaker and they checked the connections and wires to the furnace. They also found that some of the screws in the circuit breaker box were loose and they tightened them.

Description of Work: Jason and a helper Installed new 150 Amp electrical service including new 30 slot Square D Homeline load center, new weather-head, new entrance cable, new meter socket, new Square D Homeline breakers, proper grounding of the load center, main load center surge protection and inspection of the entire system by a certified inspector. Jason also did a line trace and provided a color-coded list showing what each breaker serviced. Jason started promptly at the time and on the day agreed upon, and worked without break until the job was finished. He also coordinated the work with West Penn Power, as required, which went smoothly.Jason did a good job fitting the new box, which was bigger than the old box, into the existing slot with minimal damage to the drywall, and cleaned up when finished.. Several days later I discovered that a thermostat was not working and I contacted Jason who returned within several days to fix the problem. I am very satisfied with the work done by Hufnagel Electric and would hire them again when I need electrical work done.
