Gardner Moving moved my mother from a 2-story home in Etna to a ranch home in Shaler. I live out of state, so setting up the move was done by phone with Mike at Gardner. Mike was extremely nice to deal with, and very knowledgeable of what would be needed. Based on the items I told him my Mom was taking with her, he was able to give me a rough estimate over the phone. Mike did tell me that his estimate was "rough" since he had not seen the items that were going to be moved. The day of the move, Gardner provided 3 men and 1 truck. The movers arrived on time, finished the move earlier than expected, and the cost was considerably less than the estimate, which was great! My Mom has lived in her home for 60 years and the thought of moving from "home" was a little overwhelming for her, as well as us. I wasn't at my Mom's the day of the move, but both my Sister and Mom said the men were wonderful. They were extremely professional, hard working, and fun during the entire move. They really helped take my Mom's mind off of the fact that she was leaving "home". When I talked to my Mom later on that evening, she was actually excited to be in her new house and I'm sure that was because the move went so smoothly. Although I didn't meet any of the men who moved my Mom, I couldn't be happier with the service we received from start to finish with Gardner. I would highly recommend this company and I will definitely use them again in the future if I have any moving needs.

Joe Gardner came out to my apartment in May and did a free estimate for a move; he was punctual, professional, and friendly. A few days before my move I had to ask them to change the time of the move, which they did - rearranging their day when they had several jobs booked. Every time I spoke to somebody in their office on the phone, they were very polite and friendly; they always got back to me the same day if I had to leave a message. The day of the move, the movers were on time, moved everything out of my old apartment very quickly and efficiently, got to the new apartment before I did, and moved everything in again quickly and efficiently. They were friendly and pleasant along the way. Everything went perfectly and I have no complaints of any kind.

Two bedrooms, kitchen, porch, family room, living room. If I ever move again I would call them in a heartbeat. Moving is my biggest nightmare and they made it a painless process. They were more affordable than the larger companies as well. They were just fantastic in every way. There wasn't a single item that was damaged. They went above and beyond to wrap electronics. They even showed up earlier than what they said.

Overall, the experience was good. They were timely, courteous and professional. They took good care of my stuff. I don't have any complaints. I would use their services again in the future.

They were very good. They were excellent. They were so professional and on time. They could not have been nicer. It was a difficult job and they never complained. They showed the upmost courtesy and respect. They were fun and we joked around a lot. They were much cheaper than some of the other companies and we felt they were treated more with respect than some of the larger companies that came.

Gardner Moving was extremely helpful and accommodating through the whole process. Upon calling for an estimate, they immediately scheduled someone to visit our home to provide an estimate within the week. The initial estimate (both time and cost) provided was very close to the actual cost. They arrived on time for both the estimate and the day of moving and called in advance both a day or two in advance to confirm/remind us of the appointment and the day of to let us know that they were on their way. Our previous home was located on a narrow street and Gardner Moving had no trouble at all getting their moving truck to our house. They started working very quickly and efficiently and were careful to ask our preferences as they were moving the furniture, treat everything very delicately, and disassemble & reassemble furniture when necessary (tv stand and bed frames). They were also amenable to stopping at a 2nd house to pick up an upright piano on the way to the new home. When moving the furniture into the new home, they were very cooperative and understanding about moving a few pieces of furniture several times as we were not sure where we wanted them. It took approximately 5 hours to move out of the old house, stop at the 2nd house, and move everything into the new house. Overall, it was a pleasure working with them.

They are a wonderful small company and I would highly recommend them. I think they were recommended by Angie's List to move our furniture's. The original recommendation was through somebody else and then we verified it on Angie's List. They are really very nice. They were very helpful because we had a piano that we had to worry about. We weren't sure if they could get it into this house. They picked up our furniture in our big home and loaded it onto a truck. They then moved it to a condominium in another part of Pittsburgh not too far away. They then placed all the stuff where it belonged. They were very kind and very flexible. We had this unusual problem of not knowing whether our piano would fit into this condo through the windows. They had to move some things around and spend a lot of time. We had the same thing with our sofa which is big so we didn’t know if could fit it into the elevator so they were very ingenious. They were flexible and tried different kind of strategies without getting tied up or angry. They also didn't promise that they could do it because they said they may have a problem. We understood that there were some possibilities of them not being able to do the job. They said if they couldn't do it they would refund the money. In fact another thing that happened was that they finished it earlier than they thought and they reimbursed some money which was rather unusual. They gave us a projected amount of time but it was much less. They put everything in, including the piano and the sofa in place with no problem. They were very organized and very professional. They are a nice company to work with. It wasn't as expensive as we expected.

The move was done promptly, they packaged everything well, and everything arrived in perfect condition. The movers were professional and did a great job.

I called Gardner Moving for our estimate to relocate my family from Pittsburgh, to Charleston, SC as part of a new Job I had gotten. Their estimate was the best over all, and the professionalism of their staff made me feel that we were being treated like part of their family. We had an excellent experience, never having had to move previously, but I am certain that Gardner will be the company we call to move us back to Pittsburgh when I get my next job back home.

Arrived at the set time, Carefully took furniture apart & padded the pieces. They reversed the operation at my house. Very nice guys.

They were on time and competent. They packed our dishes and other "breakables" expertly. All of our furnishings and other belongings were moved satisfactorily.

I was extremely happy with them. They sent three men to pack up us up and two to unpack us. There were some difficult items to get into the second storey apartment because the stairway and the doors were on the narrow side. They were fantastic as far as getting the furniture in. It was good that we had these couple of people to take our furniture in. We just did not think that we were ever going to see the inside of that house. They were extremely professional. They did a great job. They worked quickly. They were neat and clean. I’ve got nothing negative to say about them. We will absolutely use their services again in the future.

The crew showed up on time and performed the entire move with efficiency, care, and speed. Unloading the truck and setting up beds, furniture, etc. went smoothly and quickly. The crew worked extremely well together and completed the entire move well ahead of schedule. I would not hesitate to use them again.

I arranged the move, but I wasn't present for the move. I handled all the arrangements and the payment. I was extremely pleased with them. I arranged the move pretty late and they were able to accommodate me. It was just about a week or ten days before the move that I scheduled it. They followed through and did everything they said they would do. They arrived promptly and they brought boxes which we had requested. I wasn't there, but I think they did the moving expeditiously. The amount of time they spent was reasonable. I actually went out to their office to pay for it. It is a family owned company. I thought they were excellent in terms of the arranging for the move, the administrative details, and the planning. I can't really say what the crew was like, although I spoke to one crew member on the phone recently and he was very polite. I would use them again in the future if I needed to. My mother is elderly and not well. I am the person who arranged the move. My mother joined Angie's List, but I am the one who has been using it. My name is Susan and it's the same last name.

I spent about $600 on the job. They also moved me in. They were excellent. They were very careful with my furniture. They knew what they were doing. My house is old and there are stairs, which are not standard and are built in a crazy way. So, they were able to get everything up the stairs without hurting anything. They worked really hard and did a great job. They never complained. I thought they were affordable and comparable. They were a little late, but they called me. They were in contact with me. They wore T-shirts that identified them. I had a contract with them. I will definitely use them again in the future.

They arrived on time and did the work professionally. We were very pleased. The cost was the same as the estimate.

Excellent. It relief a lot of the stress of moving

We moved from Chicago, IL to Wexford, PA. Gardner Moving Company helped us unload our moving truck. I called one day in advance and they were able to squeeze me into their schedule. The movers were very fast & polite. The only downside is that I was quoted for 3 movers and 4 movers showed up. Therefore, I was forced to pay for 4 movers which I did not anticipate in my budget. It was a difference of $15/hour.

I'M REALLY UNHAPPY. I CHOSE THIS COMPANY DUE TO THEIR ABILITY TO ACCOMMODATE MY SCHEDULE. I MADE PLANS ACCORDINGLY. WHEN IT WAS TIME TO MOVE THE MOVER CAME OUT TO ESTIMATE THE JOB AND SAID THE DATE I RESERVED WAS NOT ON HIS SCHEDULE. I WAS FLABBERGASTED! SO HE CALLED THE HOME OFFICE ON HIS CELL PHONE AND THEY SAID THE DATE WAS TAKEN BUT THEN WHEN HE SAW I WAS UPSET, HE CALLED THEM AGAIN AND GOT A RESERVATION FOR THE NEXT DAY. I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO ACCEPT THAT. I WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.
