Arrived on time, worked extremely hard (90 degree heat) ,professional, pleasant and treat your belongings with care. Finished early and adjusted quote to my advantage. Would and have recommended to anyone moving!

They were prompt and very professional. They were very affordable, courteous, and none of our stuff was broken. They took alot of extra time to put together alot of our furniture. They were very careful moving; placed pads over corners. They were just very careful about moving things into the truck from rooms. They packed the truck very carefully. Price included a partial pack.

We priced three different movers for our local move. Originally we were expecting to have two weeks to move all the boxes ourselves into our new home and received quotes based the expectation that only furniture would need handled. Joe Gardner himself came to my home to look at our furniture, asked questions on items that we going and let us know our responsibilities (movers can't unhook washer and dryers and transport alcohol). Gardner came in at the lowest cost and we decided to go with them based on other Angie's List reviews. We sold our old home much faster than expected and instead of having two weeks to move boxes, we had one day! We called up Joe to discuss our situation and he was able adjust the number of crew members. Since it was a three mile move we were going to stay with one truck which could be reused should we need the extra space. To help make the move go faster (and be cheaper) my husband and I broke down all the furniture, sold our bedroom set, pulled all boxes from the attic, and stacked all the boxes in the garage or the living room. We were also able to move a lot of boxes the day prior to our moving date. We also had all the furniture left on the first floor of our home since we had to get carpeting on the second floor. All of this expedited the move. The day of the move the forecast called for rain so they sent an extra truck free of charge and an extra hand at a discounted rate. The crew was very friendly, polite, and they worked. The only time they stopped was when we fed them lunch. I would absolutely use these guys again and have already recommended them to a friend who is moving.

I called this company to set up my move, based off of positive reviews I read about them. I requested they come do an estimate and he said he knew where I lived and could estimate it over the phone. He quoted probably about 5 hours, and $112/hr plus a $26 fuel surcharge. I went ahead and scheduled the move. My move was scheduled for 8:30am. They got to my place right before 8:45am. I live right off of 376 and so they were dealing with rush hour traffic, but other reviews I read talked about them coming super early. It didn't take them long to position their truck and start loading. They sent 3 guys and efficiently moved everything with care on to their truck. They estimated the whole job being 5 hours, and it was 4.5, but they charged me for an hour drive time. I don't remember them saying they would when I called to set up the move. The movers were courteous and asked where I'd like things placed, and also moved things if/when I changed my mind. I went to a smaller apartment so I had to make some decisions on the fly, based on how my things filled a room. Overall I'd use this company again. I thought the charges were fair, with the exception of maybe the hour drive time. I felt compelled to tip all 3 guys.

The move was scheduled for the exact dates that I desired. On day 1 a crew arrived at approximately 9:30AM to pack. They were fast and efficient. I was amazed at how quickly they worked, finishing the packing in approximately 4-5 hours. They packed whatever I requested, and left all areas that I'd deemed 'off limits' alone, allowing me to keep important items safely tucked away and undisturbed. On day 2 the truck and crew arrived by 9AM and the loading process began. They were careful with navigating narrow turns in the halls and the stairs leading out of the apartment building. Once the truck was loaded, they did a walk through with me to be sure they hadn't missed anything. Even during the loading they inquired about certain things as to whether or not I wanted them to be loaded or not. The immediately drove the truck to my house and began to unload, placing each and every item where I wanted it, even adjusting locations as needed. All furniture was reassembled. They were personable, friendly and again, quick. Nothing was broken, no walls were marked up, and my only 'issue' was that after it was all said and done, I did find a few (very few) minor (very minor) rubs/scrapes on a few items -- but to be fair, it is possible that some of these were pre-existing that I had not noticed before. It is ONLY for this reason that the quality grade is a B and not an A. My final cost was approximately $600 below the initial estimate. I was VERY pleased.

I didn't use this company because they didn't demonstrate integrity.

We hired this moving company to move our heavy items from Cranberry to Bethel Park. These guys were awesome - they took excellent care of our things and were very careful. They were obviously experienced and worked well together, navigating corners, etc. They were kind enough to swap out the swing arms on our storm door (they had been put on backwards previous to our moving in), which we considered going above and beyond. We highly recommend this company.

These guys did exactly what I asked and expected of them. They were able to pull up on the sidewalk next to my old apartment and set up a ramp to the front door of the building. They were able to move a few heavy items such as a couch and an older (and heavy) entertainment center down from a third floor apartment to the truck without problems. These guys were true professionals and did the heavy lifting faster and more efficient than I could. When they arrived a my new house and it began raining, they began to put moving blankets over the items they were bringing in from the truck to the house. They were also very patient as I was directing them to begin pilling up boxes in a corner as I was not yet sure where I was going to put several items. They did the complete move in roughly three hours and the bill came to slightly less than estimate I received. Good experience. Would use Gardner Moving again in the future.

Called for an estimate for an upcoming move. Owner came out to view the house and furniture/ boxes. He seemed very genuine and knowledgeable. He provided an estimate that was reasonable compared to others I have asked for. He was able to accommodate my move date and I was always able to reach someone when I called. However, my house sale fell through and we had to cancel our move. I am keeping their information on file and will DEFINITELY use them again when we actually move.

instead he called and left me a voice mail message stating that he would 'decline' to move me because he was worried about his movers getting hurt. movers had brought the larger piece IN to my house without getting hurt and i was up front and honest with him about the weight and the added difficulty of the move. so, i called him and said 'ok, let's say i get a specialty mover to handle the 2 big pieces that you are afraid to move, why not give me an estimate for everything else?' i had 5 other rooms of regular furniture. he still declined and was weird about it. i said ' you are top rated mover, can't you at least recommend a specialty mover to help me or at least quote the other rooms?' no, he still declined. that is not a AAA customer service company and i'd suggest that if you have more a set of mid weight boxes and a flimsy card table to move, you might want to look beyond this company.

Movers arrived earlier than expected, which was great! They made sure to call ahead of time to make sure this was ok. The move took approximately 4 hours with 3 movers, and Gardner's has their own truck so I did not have to worry about renting and driving to our new home like many of the companies require. They were extremely careful with all of our belongings, and made sure not to damage anything in the move. In our new home, they made sure to ask which rooms items should go in so we did not have to move them again ourselves. All the guys were very friendly and efficient, I would definitely use them again.

I was very pleased with Gardner. The crew was friendly, on time, careful, and efficient. The loading, 20 miles of roadtime, and unloading took less than 4 hours. The guys that came out were hard workers and finished up well under the original estimate. A very positive experience overall which made the craziness of moving a bit more bearable.

It was overall a fantastic experience. I would not even get quotes if we ever had to move again, and would truly tell anybody to look no further and just simply go with these guys. They were truly superb and far exceeded all my expectations, and I am not an easy one to please. I never heard one complaint from these guys. (we did treat them nice with doughnuts for bfast and pizza for lunch). They were so appreciative to receive a tip at the end also. I would truly tell anyone reading this review if you need to move anywhere, don't even bother looking any further. This could not have been a better experience.

Great team of movers! Very professional and careful!! Took good care of all of our things including our baby grand piano!! Nice team of guys, very friendly and hard working! Very efficient! Actually came in a little under the quoted estimated!! Absolutely no damage to anything whatsoever!!

The estimate was three movers for 7.5 hours. The truck was due at 8:30am but showed up at 7:45am, which was fine with me. Guys were polite and professional. We walked thru home and I gave instructions on which furniture was moving (some was staying behind for family members). They asked some questions for clarification and started right away. I had some things that were staying and needed to be moved from the second floor to the first. They did that with no fuss. Several things weren't on the estimate (patio furniture) but that was no problem either. They moved quickly, furniture was placed where i wanted it and the move was complete in five hours; price was adjusted accordingly. Despite MY nervousness, furniture was moved without damage to anything, including floor that had recently been refinished.

We were moving from the suburbs to a city apartment and using a loading / freight elevator and another elevator to move our belongings. The gentlemen sent to our job were great and took ample care of every item. We rented wardrobe boxes and that process was smooth to as we were loading all of our hanging items as they were loading the truck. On the other end they placed the wardrobe boxes right where we needed / wanted them for me to unpack so they could take away the rental boxes. Everything from the first phone call to schedule (In July which is not an easy time to schedule) to the estimate process right down through the move was excellent. Great communication and wonderful customer service! I will be using these movers again should I have a need!!!! Most definitely recommend. A+++

The only reason to give them less than an A overall had more to do with the fact that I was not there to guide the process more. They left many things behing that required me to rent a truck afterwards to get them. But my wife did not ask them to move these so I cannot ding them for it. They were very nice and easy to work with, and the price was right. It was raining on move day and they were careful to develop a strategy that kept part of the crew inside and relayed items to the ones outside, so as to not get the house dirty. Recommended.

Perfect move. They arrived 10 min early and had all the equipment they needed. Placed the furniture in my office in excellent condition, including glass tabletop.

They were very responsive and for what they did, the price seemed fair. They were also careful with the furniture that they moved.

Crew arrived at storage unit right on time. Worked quickly to load truck. Made us aware of any possible damage done by previous movers. We followed them to the house and they unloaded the items. The movers asked specifically where furniture and boxes should be placed, put china cabinet together etc. Worked straight through and got the job done in an efficient time frame.

They were very professional. Mike Gardner who did the walk-through assessment was on time & very professional. The movers were all very nice, very efficient & very fast. They didn't break or nick a thing. They were really nice guys to work with & very friendly. We had to make a few changes which they were more than happy to make. They brought enough trucks to accommodate our needs & we would definitely recommend them.

I have moved from Maryland to Minnesota and 3rd move in Pittsburgh in the last 8 years. Best moving experience ever. These guys were great! They worked so hard and fast. My husband and I stood by in shock as we watched how fast and smooth the move went. The guy who gave us the estimate said it would take 8 hours at the most and quoted us $1200. Final move was done in 4 hours and price was adjusted. Highly recommend.

My daughter had to move from Pennsylvania to Ohio for her job with only a few weeks notice. She had a small, one bedroom apartment in PA and was moving to a two bedroom apartment in Ohio. My son had an extra bedroom set that he wanted to give her but he lives about 5 miles away and we had no way to get the furniture to her apartment for the movers. Gardner agreed that after they loaded my daughter's furniture and boxes onto their truck, they would drive over to my son's house and pick up the bedroom furniture there also. We had a lot of questions because we had never used professional movers before and everyone we dealt with, whether on the phone or in person, was very nice and patient with us. Because they were moving us on a Saturday and the weight scales are not open on the weekends to weigh the truck, they provided us with a binding estimate of the total cost and held to that price even though there was a chest of drawers in a storage area that I had neglected to tell them about initially. The day of the move they were supposed to arrive at 8:30am but didn't get there until after 9:00am. They sent three men who worked tirelessly and very efficiently breaking down the furniture and loading up the truck. We had several miscellaneous items such as wicker baskets and laundry baskets packed with some last minute items and I thought for sure that they would not want to take those because they were open containers but they said it wasn't a problem and they took everything. Every item they took was tagged and listed on the invoice so we could make sure nothing was lost or missed. Then, as agreed, they drove over to my son's house to pick up the bedroom furniture also. When they arrived at the apartment in Ohio, they had to carry everything up to a third floor apartment (with no elevator) but never slowed down at all even though it was very hot and humid that day. The furniture arrived without any damage whatsoever and they handled each piece with the utmost care. They were patient and understanding when we took a few minutes to decide how we wanted the furniture set up also. I highly recommend this company for anyone who is in need of professional movers and I can't even say that their late arrival was an issue because of how the rest of the move went.

I called Gardner Moving on very short notice and they were able to fit me in. Mr. Gardner and his 2 man crew showed up on time. In fact, they were 5 minutes early. They were able to move 2 bedrooms, plus a third mattress set, appliances, and very large miscellaneous items along with numerous boxes and other items within a very short amount of time. It was pretty amazing to watch these 3 hardworking guys move everything so fast with such care. To save some time and money, I labeled and tagged my boxes, crates, and loose items with the room it was to be placed in at the house to make it easier for the movers when loading and unloading the truck. After the truck was loaded and we arrived to the house, Mr. Gardner informed me that the new mattress would not fit up the winding staircase to the top floor of the house. I told Mr. Gardner that he would need to perform a miracle as it was a new set and it was not going back to the store. Gardner and his crew cleverly figured out how to get the mattress set in the room within 5 minutes without damaging the mattress set or any part of the house. I was quite impressed. The guys managed to get everything in the house under the timeframe originally quoted me over the phone. They were done in less than 2 hours. I would definitely use these guys again!

The moving experience was just great. The job came in at the price exactly as quoted. Michael Gardner came out to give us an estimate prior to the move. He suggested a 4-man team, one 26-ft truck, and said it would take a good 8 hours. On moving day, the crew showed up right on time. Wisely, they brought 2 trucks. They surveyed the job at hand, made a strategy, and got to work right away packing the trucks. We still had some things to pack into boxes; honestly, it was a little hard to keep up with them--they were so hard-working. It was a very warm day...around noon, I ordered up sandwiches and Gatorade and felt that I myself needed a break. At that time Michael also called to see if we would like a fifth guy to join the crew, which I thought was a great idea. They stopped for a few minutes to eat, but really seemed to be anxious to get back to work. By about 2 pm we were driving the trucks the few miles to our new house. They got right to work unloading the trucks, and in very good spirits moved a lot of heavy boxes and furniture up to the second and third floors. They reassembled the bed so we could get a good night's sleep. They had arrived at 9 am that morning and were driving away, job completed, at about 5 p.m. Nothing was broken or lost. The entire crew seemed like real pros and worked very hard. They were also friendly and polite and made the experience pleasant. Things you might want to know: their policy is that everything must be packed in closed, stackable boxes, which makes total sense. You really want to be properly packed and have all boxes marked as to placement at the final destination before the movers arrive.....it will be hard to keep up with them if you plan on packing and marking boxes as they are moving things out. They did a totally great job from start to finish. I would definitely use Gardner Moving again, but hopefully not any time too soon. :)
