The movers were courteous, professional and punctual.

Original response to our request for quotation was timely and prompt. Quoted price was $1650. Two truck showed up on time to begin the move. All of the movers were courteous and friendly. The guys did an excellent job and the move went without incident. The cost was higher than the original quote, so I was a little disappointed by that, however it did take somewhat longer than quoted and they brought an extra person to pack. Overall excellent work by nice people.

It went great. They arrived on time, moved everything with no damage, and helped with a few other small tasks that needed doing but that I was unable to do myself. They were polite, punctual and professional.

They arrived a few minutes late due to traffic around construction on the Parkway...they were very apologetic even though it was not their fault. They were able to pack all the boxes and furniture onto their truck in less than 2 hours. After arriving at the new apartment, they unloaded everything and placed everything where we wanted it to go. Anything that they took apart for the move (i.e. chairs, beds, etc) was put back together before they left. There were some very large and delicate pieces of furniture to move and they handled those pieces with extreme care. I was very pleased with the way the move went and how reasonably priced they were for this move. I would definitely use them again.

The movers were amazing. They had the home emptied within an hour, and were wonderful about placing (and re-placing) furniture in the new house. They were very polite and dealt well with my mom when her emotions were running high. They are fast, polite, and we will absolutely use them again.

I was extremely impressed with the service. They were on time, very professional, friendly and very customer friendly. They wrapped the mirrors and furniture - the whole thing took under an hour. I would definitely recommend - there was nothing that could have been done better. I didn't have to do anything - they took care of it all. Very convenient.

Gardners is a fantastic moving company. Prior to our move, we got another estimate that seemed ridiculously high (it would have cost more to move 10 miles than it had cost previously to move from North Carolina to Pittsburgh!). Our realtor then recommended we try Gardner's. We really loved dealing with a small, local company--we had a quick turnaround to move, and when they heard it, they actually held the date for us on their calendar (without a commitment on our part) until they could come out and do the estimate. In the end, we paid less than half of the highest estimate (also from a well-reviewed company). The Gardner's team was responsive, professional, and punctual. They even helped us move out an old washer and dryer that was in our new house and put our new ones in.

It went wonderfully, the men were courteous, clean, respectful of us and the property around us. It took two days to move two separate homes into one new home. The move really was perfect and we were able to converse and laugh with them the entire time. The one gentleman, Mark, did everything we asked and never once did he not smile when doing it. I am calling them the next time we move because there are no better movers out there.

I was most concerned with moving my baby grand piano. But there was no problem.

Right now I'm just renting one of Gardner's climate-controlled storage facilities; but based on my experiences so far, I have no problem recommending them, and will certainly use them when time comes to move things out of storage. The price seems to be a little high, but, then, it's comparable with other facilities in the area. I like that it's a family-run business, not a franchise operation. Everyone I've interacted with has been very nice.

Their performance was a matter of which crew was assigned. Our first two moves went very smoothly and we were very pleased with the service over all. However, our last move, with a different crew, was totally different. They left items (a mattress pad that was on the bed they were moving, an alabaster vase, for example) behind instead of offering to pack them as they always did in the past. They attached the mirror to our dresser upside down so that the pegs used to hang necklaces were unusable. It had to be fixed by someone after the fact. They worked fast but they weren't careful and seemed in a hurry to finish.

These guys really saved my butt when another moving company totally screwed me over. The bad guys got to my apartment and refused to move anything leaving me hanging with no way to get an entire apartment full of furniture and personal items to my new house. Gardner was able to schedule my move for TWO days after I called them, moved everything efficiently and safely from my old third floor walk-up, with an additional stop at my old storage unit to load everything from there and then move it all into my new house in less than a day. Fantastic! And the topper was they were nicer and CHEAPER than the hose-bag company Two Men and a Truck!!! I also used them previous to this job to move my company to my new office suite. Again, super efficient, very nice to deal with and everything moved safely and undamaged. These are the guys you want to hire to move your stuff!!!

The crew of three arrived on time and worked very well together. They took great care with all of the furnishings and boxes and even moved some of the boxes to a different room after a change of mind and all without a bit of complaining. Because they took less time than estimated, the final cost was lower, too! The arrangements for the move were handled very well by their staff over the phone and, after the move when we misplaced an item that we later found, they got back to us promptly. All in all, a very good moving experience. We will recommend them and use them again whenever the need arises but we hope it won't be soon.

It went very well. They were on-time and actually finished ahead of schedule. We were very pleased.

Guys were very nice. Showed up on time, got right to work. Worked through the rain. Did everything I asked. Unfortunately they broke some hardware on our child safe dresser drawers and chipped some wood on an antique dresser. Also, I am pretty sure they tore the box spring on our bed. They did not tell me about the drawers or the mattress, I found out later. I called the company and they came out and looked at the drawers and told me to order some parts and they would pay for it. If I could not install the hardware myself they would come back and do it. The whole point of having movers was so I would not have to deal with that stuff! Repairing the antique dresser is still on my to do list. Overall, it could have been worse.

They did a good job, worked at a good pace, and moved some major appliances including moving a refrigerator at our new place to the basement. The final cost was less than the original estimate because the move took less time since we had moved a lot of small stuff prior to moving day. I would definitely use them again. The fee was 119/hour (local).

They did a good job. They arrived on time and went to work right away. They were good about asking where I wanted everything to be placed and everything was in the areas I asked them to put it. They did the job in the two hours that they quoted me. The only real complains that I have is that they were rather slow with getting things into the house and the only reason I think they got it done in the two hours is because my boyfriend helped alot. He was unloading boxes and helping them get the furniture into the house. They did however get everything in the house, even the big pieces of furniture, without any scratches or dents on the walls or furniture which I greatly appreciate. I also think for the amount of work that was provided it was quite expensive. I spend half the price on 3 hours of work to get the truck loaded and loading a truck is alot harder than unloading. But, overall they did the job I asked them to do, on time, they were friendly and very polite.

Guys showed up with two trucks and 5 guys as proposed. They made quick work of unloading all of my items and there were a lot. Very friendly and helpful. Drove the trucks to my house and placed items in the rooms I requested. They were willing to move several pieces a second time when they didn't fit or I didn't like where they were placed. Had one piece of furniture leg snap off while in the truck. I will definately use them again if I have the need. Price was almost half or oringial quote.

I first spoke with the secretary and she was very pleasant and helpful even when I kept calling back with additional questions. The owner, Joe Gardner, came out for an in-home estimate and he was very nice and professional. I knew then that I picked the right moving company. The movers called to let me know they were on their way from the previous move as promised. When the movers arrived, they worked diligently and were very pleasant. No one was on their phone and standing around. They all worked until the job was done! I was nervous about the move since I'd never hired movers before but they set the standard high! I was nervous that someone would have been slacking but they all worked. They listened to me when I said what went and what didn't. All three movers, the secretary, and the owner were very pleasant! I most definitely will recommend them to anyone and will use them again!

Excellent!!! Three men arrived on time after phoning to confirm. Truck was clean. Men were neat. Work was completed efficiently but with care both at removal site and new. Men were very courteous and more than satisfied contracted work.

Awesome experience from the first phone call to the last piece of furniture was in place. Highly recommend!
