The service was great. Actually, it was my second time that I engaged Wizzers. In that case I had several very large mature dead trees in the backyard removed, as well as the variety of hardwood vines that had intwined themselves into other live trees. Lee and his crew are very professional, work efficiently and do a great job cleaning up after the trees are felled and shredded. Lee makes sure he contacts you as soon as you leave a message. Provides are very detailed estimate of the job and sticks to what he offers in service and price. He also makes sure to provide a copy of his contractors insurance with each quote. Then after he completes the job he follows up to make sure you are satisfied. With both jobs, the pricing was fair and with the one large job in the backyard surprised me as to its reasonable pricing. I further recommended Lee to my cousin who was also exceeding happy with their work on a similar project.
Description of Work: Wizzer Tree service removed several large trees that had grown close to the house and above the roof line. The company also removed some smaller shrubs and stumps the same day.

Lee came to look at the job and gave me an estimate. He is very knowledgeable and professional and offered his suggestions. I was impressed with him immediately. He voluntarily offered his insurance / liability information. No payment until the job was completed to my satisfaction. Andy, Mike, & Chuck were here at the time promised. All very personable and professional young men. They far exceeded my expectations.

Lee was fantastic to work with. He was very responsive, provided excellent service, and was the best price (by far) of 6 different estimates. The Wizzers crew was extremely professional and removed every bit of debris. I highly recommend Wizzers and would gladly hire them again. My only regret is that I took so long to write this review.

The crew came on time as promised, got to work and completed the job in a timely and efficient fashion. No fuss, no muss! No damage to any of the surrounding shrubs or other trees. They cleaned up after themselves beautifully. Courteous, and polite, they asked before moving anything that they thought might get damaged during their operation, and put it all back when they were done. I couldn't be more pleased with their work.

We called a few companies for estimates. Wizzers came in somewhere in the lower middle, but we felt they were the best in terms of being specific about what and how they were going to remove the trees. They also asked us to get permission from our neighbors for access, which helped reassure us (and our neighbors) that they were responsible professionals. The cutting and hauling were tricky because there was no access to the spot by road. They had to climb the trees (one next to a fence), cut them, haul the logs over grass, down a flight of steps, over a patio and around a house, and down a steep embankment to their truck. In one case, they had to retrieve dropped branches from our fenced in neighbors yard. They did all that and shredded the wood. Lee came with a crew of four who worked steadily and competently. They came back the second day to take some more of the logs out and clean up. The process brought down lots of branches, but they left the yard totally clean!

Wizzers tree service was our choice for many reasons. 1. We obtained many estimates and Lee Wizzer came and gave a very detailed estimate and spent 45 minutes going over the estimate. And then asked if we had any questions. 2. The job was done and the work was exactly what was projected. It looked very nicely manicured and the trimming was well done. 3. The men were friendly and accommodating. 4. The cleanup was excellent and I could not find one stray branch. 5. I would recommend them to my friends and family. This information comes from my friends Bill and Lynn Appman who acquired Wizzers name thru me Rebecca Murphy

Very satisfied with the service. Met with Lee on Monday for an estimate and we agreed upon a price that was very competitive. We scheduled service for the next day! The crew was very professional with the job and cleaned up afterwards. They even removed another bush that wasn't part of the original quote. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Lee Wyzkoski was very professional and responsive to my initial inquiry for an estimate. He called back quickly and arranged for a time to personally examine the trees and called me back with his estimate. I called several services and Lee impressed me with his professionalism. Access was needed through a neighbor's yard, and Lee spoke with the neighbors personally and got written permission for the work to be done. Wizzers Tree Service showed up on time and did the work quickly and efficiently. They cleaned up carefully, and left the yard looking neat. No damage was done to the neighbor's property so everyone was happy.

I was so extremely impressed with Wizzers tree service. The day that the trimming was scheduled turned out to be a rainny day. They were punctual and professional. Their skills for triming were excellent. One of my trees had dead branches and the person trimming went up the tree and started trimming in spite of the rain. He was so careful the tree looked beautiful when complete. They also cut down dead trees and ground the stumps. Their service greatly enhanced the appearance of my property. I would reccomend to all.

LEE SAVED THE CAT!! You have to see the video to truly appreciate what he did.. He had never done this before but had a plan in mind before starting up the tree. I had seen the great job Lee and company did climbing trees in my yard in 5/2013; so when I heard this story about a stranded cat that local animal rescue and fire companies would not help, I immediately though of Lee..I had NO IDEA what Lee would say when I called, but he immediately responded and was on his way to Squirrel Hill. KDKA news became involved as they had first broadcast the story and were following the rescue. Lee and the home owner agreed that Lee would wear a backpack backwards to put the cat into once he got up the tree. Branch by branch Lee climbed the tree all the while talking to the cat in a very soft and calming voice. This cat was at the complete top of a very tall Locust tree and out on the thinnest of branches. Lee managed to get out to the ends of the branches and put a hand out to the cat; the cat began to meow and came right to him. Lee placed the cat into the backpack and secured her prior to his descent. To make this rescue even more unbelievable, Lee and his wife Sarah then took the cat to an animal hospital to be checked for a microchip in an effort to find the owner then had the cat examined and vaccinated.. As no owner could be found, Lee and his wonderful wife have taken the cat into their home where they already have several dogs and one cat.. Lee told me the cat started purring as soon as he held her and was still purring in his lap the entire drive to the vets!! The video brings tears to your eyes!! What a great person!! Lee also refused payment from me for this job.. I inserted an amount above only because this form would not allow me to continue without complete info and I know more merit is given to reviews when a dollar amount for the work is included. I did send Lee a gift certificate for covering vet costs so that is where I came up with the $200.00..he did not ask for this.
Description of Work: Lee Wyzkoski (owner) rescued a kitten from a tree in Squirrel Hill that even animal rescue and Pittsburgh fire companies wouldn't help with. See KDKA./com achives for video of rescue..article is entitled "Good Samaritan Saves Cat in Tree"..Dave Crawley was the news reporter that covered the story. Lee is NOT a professional animal rescuer but a tree service professional who had NEVER done this before but was willing to help try to save this animal who was stuck for 1 week!!

they were through with clean upLee Wyzkoski (owner) returned all calls in a very short time, arrived for appointments at stated time and called first to say he was a few minutes away. The 7 trees were very tall and one Ash was at bottom of embankment at end of drive. The embankment was covered in flowers and ground cover that I invested 11 years in planting. Other companys wanted to use a bucket truck to lift the trunk pieces over top of the bank (adding >$750 to cost of project). Lee told me he could do it "the old fashioned way" by dragging the logs/branches around the bank. On the day of the job, Lee wasn't present at first and I had to leave for a short while. As we were the only one's who knew of the plan to drag the logs around the bank, when I came home they had already dragged a few logs up the embankment over the plants..As soon as I informed the workers what my and Lee's plan was, they apologized greatly and began to remove the rest of the logs around the bank.Going around the bank added much additional work for them and I must say in their defense, they still did it without complaint and on one of the hottest spring days ever with >90degree heat!! All workers were VERY polite, showed great respect for my property, and asked for my approval when they were done with the clean up. I bought them lunch and provided them with a cooler of water; they assured all trash was placed in garbage bags and empty plastic went into recycling!! All without me even asking! I would hire Lee and his workers again in a heartbeat!! I can not stress how hard these men worked that day..it was unbelievably hot and humid and these were BIG/tall trees which required a man climbing the trees to begin the cutting process.. they were not simply cut down at ground level and allowed to fall. Wizzers is a fairly young company and hopefully they will be successful. I have hired 3 other tree services in the past and I must say the quality of their work and easiness to work with have made them the only Tree Service currently in my address book..I won't even call anyone else.

Wizzers was able to stop by the house on the same day I called, to assess our tree situation. We had one tree in the back yard that was 40-50% dead, another that was dying and a third tree that was twice as large as the others. They came on a weekend, arriving at the time they said they would. We were told that the work would take the full day and it did. They really did a nice job. The parts of the tree that weren't chipped were cut and neatly set aside for firewood. They raked leaves and picked up sticks to the point where (aside from small stumps) you wouldn't have known that trees were there.

This is our second experience with Wizzer's. They are absolutely the best in the business and we are very happy with our choice to call them again. Lee and his team arrived on time and were very professional. They are able to identify dead v. healthy limbs and only cut away what is necessary for the tree to flourish again in the spring. They did our job in about a half of day and cleaned up EVERYTHING (even blowing our leaves into a pile for us-easier to rake!!). If you are looking for a reliable group of guys who know what they are doing then call Wizzer's. Lee gave me the best price out of 3 other companies I called and we were able to schedule something on a date and time that worked for both of us. 5 stars!! Thank you!!

I contacted 7 tree removal firms to provide estimates on removing a cherry tree and a huge old oak tree that had become diseased and hollow near the base. Lee was immediately responsive and punctual in coming out to assess the job. Several of the others were not as responsive and 3 outright refused to bid the job after coming out to see the trees. One of the competing firms was self-insured, while Lee of Wizzers provided a proof of insurance certificate at the time he bid the job. Lee and his team showed up as scheduled and on-time and did an excellent job while being safety conscious. They had to carefully control the drop of every section of the tree to avoid damaging my koi pond and an expensive Japanese Maple. They we're masters at this without damaging anything. They cleaned up all debris, cut all logs to a manageable firewood size, and placed them out of the way in the corner of the property which caused additional effort. They brought a high-capacity chipper with them and chipped all branches of less than 10 inches diameter into their truck and took the chips away when they left. The whole team were just nice young gentlemen and worked very h****** this job. It was a whole day job for a team of 5 men. At least one was a smoker and not a single butt was left behind. We could not have asked for or expected a better experience. We made sure to tip the team to show our appreciation for their professionalism and a job well done.

The droppings from an overgrown Arborvitae tree (taller than my two-story house) were constantly clogging the gutter and downspout on my house. I loved the beauty of that tree, but it got to the point where it was causing too many water-drainage problems for me. I also worried that the weight of a heavy snowfall during the upcoming winter might bring down the tree in an uncontrolled manner, so I chose to do something about the situation now while the weather is still favorable. I did some research on Angie's List and decided to call Wizzers Tree Service. I spoke with the owner, Lee, on the phone. He listened to my concerns about the tree and came out to my house that same week. Upon his arrival, he provided me with proof of insurance; assessed the situation; gave me some options; explained how he would do the work, and then provided me with a fair estimate on the spot. He was not pushy at all, and I felt very confident that I had chosen the right person for the job. Although he was busy, he managed to squeeze me into his schedule, in between jobs, that same day. His crew arrived that afternoon with all of the necessary equipment to perform the work. They were very courteous, professional and explained how they would proceed with the work. They were very careful not to disturb the surrounding landscape and took extreme care to make sure branches fell where they intended for them to fall. As they sawed the tree, branches were put through the chipper on the spot. I was amazed at how well they worked together as a team and how smoothly the job went. While one man ground up the stump, the other men went about removing a limb that had partially fallen during a summer storm and had become stuck in between two trees on the same side of the house. They took care to remove the lodged limb in such a way that it wouldn't come crashing down all at once and possibly break branches of another tree. Again, I was amazed at how well these skilled men performed their work. They promptly cleaned up afterwards, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I highly recommend this company.

Response from Wizzers Tree Service LLC
Our goal is to please everyone. I am the owner, operator, estimator and much more. I take on many jobs to run this business. We do not have one designated estimator who drives around writes a few words on a proposal with an inaccurate price. Our slogan is '' One on One Customer Tree Care." This is what we are all about. With not much advertisement but Angies list and referrals we stay booked easy 1 month to 2 months. With that said we ask for patience from our potential customers. When scheduled we keep that day and time and arrive promptly whether rain ,snow, sleet, wind or shine. We always call 1 day in advance to confirm our arrival. In conclusion we ask for your forgiveness and hope you keep us in mind for your next tree care needs. Sincerely ! -Lee / Wizzers Tree Service llc
