Dan Hartman, a owner, was prompt, courteous, and professional throughout our entire transaction. Brian, the installer was great. He excellent attention to detail and worked on a challenging 210+ foot scalloped wood fence installation. In addition, he worked with us on a couple small items that needed changing as the project progressed. He was very detail oriented and skilled installing our wood fence. He really knows his trade. Pricing was fair. I would without a doubt use this firm again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality, finished product. It took a few months to get the project started, and Dan told me that upfront and I was okay with waiting, but there is a reason why? clearly because they are that good and are in high demand! Well, well worth the wait and we will enjoy our fence for many, many years to come. Many, many thanks again to Dan and Brian for successfully completing our project and best wishes in the future!

He said he was unable to do it in the time frame I wanted, but he referred me to another company who is also on Angie's List. I thought that was nice of him to do that.

Done a while ago, but they were here a short time and installed a privacy fence. It was exactly what I wanted.

We first priced materials at the store and ended up going with installation. We received a quote very fast and were put on the schedule for work to be completed. The installation took place the week that it was projected to. The installers arrived around 11am the first three days and were very friendly and answered any questions. Due to rain and previous engagements, the project could not be completed on the third day and they returned to finish the following Monday. They left some tools on site and asked first if it was ok and second if we thought it would be safe to leave due to our three small kids. I thought it was really nice of them to consider the safety of our kids while working. Had we not encountered rain every day they were out, I feel they probably could have completed the project in 2 days, maybe 2 1/2 days at the pace they were working. Overall, they were an awesome pair of guys and I would recommend this company for any fencing projects. We have a large dog and a small dog and neither one has been able to get out of or under the fence. Although with did not get any additional fencing quotes this year, we have gotten them in the past and both Affordable Fence and Bethlehem Fence came in MUCH higher. Great family-owned company!

Fence install went well. They did have to come out and adjust the gate shortly after installation, do to problems closing. This winter they had to come out and adjust the gate again. It Everything has been fine since. Things didn't go perfectly, but they stood by their product in a timely manner. I would use them again. I would give them an overall A-.

We were tickled by the fence, the guy came out here all by himself and put up the whole fence up. Last week, we called them to tell them that one of the boards broke, where the wood is weak, and we can't open the gate now. We called them twice to tell us when the guy would come out and fix it, but they have never returned our calls. The fence doesn't go all around the house, it is just around 150 feet of fencing. They were about one of the only company that did wooden fences. The guy was good about coming to do the work, and he came out in a timely fashion each day. The fellow was very professional, but the company isn't giving us much of a professional response.

We will use this provider to put in our fence later this year. We simply ran out of funds!

They were great and they did a good job. They were very nice. They were on time. They were personable. They took time to talk with my grandson but they were able to get their job done on time.

We called him on the phone for a ballpark quote and it was more reasonable than we expected. We had him go to the house to make the measurements and firm up the quote. His quote came in right on the money and he could do it in a timely manner. We stopped by his place of business to look at the styles of fencing. He had a lot of styles to choose from and he also does custom fences. He was very professional and understanding while we deliberated the kind of fence that we wanted. We finally chose the shadow-box style and he further accommodated us by offering to put the boards closer together so that it was not easy to look through the fence. We were very satisfied with his numbers. They were reasonable. He actually called us back a day later with an earlier date. He had a gap between large jobs that would allow them to do our job between them. We agreed and 2 days later, the fence was up. The worker was polite, friendly and also accommodating. He made extra effort to place the posts as close to the hillside as possible. and he even curved it to match the contour of the property line. He was careful and thorough as he measured and put up the fence. He had the proper tools and was experianced. The fence looked very good. We are satisfied with a job well done.

Overall, we are very pleased. It does seem there was some lack of communication between Dan (owner/estimator) and the workers. The workers almost made a big error. Luckily, I checked on them right as it was going to happen. The workers were very nice, neat, cleaned up, and did a great job.

Absolutely LOVED working with Dave. He is the real deal - don't look anywhere else. He was professional and reliable. He corrected what could have been a huge design flaw had we gone with another bidder. Work was done exactly as specified, on time and with perfect clean-up. Thank you to Dave!

They were very professional. Showed up when they were supposed to and worked side by side with tree guys to get job completed on time. They did a nice job. I would recommend them and I would use them again

The work was done exactly as we instructed. The subcontractor was excellent.

I was called in advance, three(3) days, that two (2) men (brothers) would come and install the ordered fencing. They arrived in the morning and immediately started removing the old fencing. They stacked it exactly where I asked them. They measured and made sure that the fence post were directly in line. This was not so easy as my yard is sloped in several directions. They then starting digging holes for the concrete to install the fence post, mixed the concrete, poured it in and installed the post, making sure that the post were plumb and directly in-line with one another. End of 1st. day. 2nd. day. Arrived about mid-morning and began putting up the fencing, making sure that it was properly stretched and mounted. They asked me to ok it and make sure I was completely satisfied. I inspected the entire fence and was very pleased with the results. They did and excellent job and cleaned-up completely! If I ever need any fencing, I will not hesitate to call Fence By Maintenance Service again. I highly recommend them.

They provided professional service from the start to finish. The person doing the install started early and worked way past "quitting" time in order to complete the job in one day.

We were in dire need of having fencing installed so our dogs could be cared for at home while we were away. Time was of the essence. We had met with other contractors who promised us the world. Dave Hartman was honest and very professional, with no pressure put on us at any time. He graciously worked us into his schedule. He promised, and most important, he delivered. His crew was prompt, courteous, and left us with no mess whatsoever. I could not be happier with the job they did, and would wholeheartedly recommend them in a heartbeat. The installation went smoothly over a period of about 5 days or so. They were always open to consideration of my questions and concerns and made slight changes throughout the process as needed / desired without complaint. The finished fence turned out even better than I'd hoped and now that my husband and I have stained it, it's gorgeous. Before installation the provider gave me several estimates with multiple options in order to help me decide on what type of fence to have installed. There were no surprises or hidden costs.

We were in need of fencing for your back yard to provide a secure area for your dogs to run. Our budget was tight and Dave came out and provided us with a reasonable estimate and was very professional. The fencing was installed in only a couple of days and his installer was friendly and did I a great job! I would highly recommend Fence by Maintenance Service!

We've used David's company since 1986 for two swimming pool fences and 4 split rail fence around our entire backyard. They work hours, keep 4 it and cleaned up when done, what more can you ask for?! We love them!!
