CONSUMER BEWARE Entered into contract with A Stripe Above, LLC, for scope, budget and schedule to remove old retaining wall, dispose of waste, install drainage and build a new wall. Contractor failed to perform the services, mismanaged their sub-contractors, damaged the property, then asked for a change bid in order to continue for more than 33% above contract value for services that were already included in the scope. They were three weeks beyond the one-week contract term and only performed the equivalent of one day of service. Payment was agreed to half down at start and half at completion. I terminated the agreement, filed a claim with their insurance company, filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, then filed a civil suit with the local magistrate, and was awarded a judgment for the full amount.
