The orginal work date for the breakers was 12-28-2010 at 8:45AM but they were a no show. They had things mixed up they said and scheduled for 12-30-2011 at 9AM and they were here on the dot. It was ok and the job got done. I think they were expensive but then all electricians are and I don't know the going rate for the work done. On Jan 4 the one young man tall was very professional, he was here the whole time and extemely kind. The other young man was brash and they were ready to leave and the light in the vestibule was not installed and he said did I say we would do that? Is it indluded in the price? Now I'm not sure what he was trying to do there but it was in writing on my contract included in the price so he did it and that caused the problems he had with the lines somehow tripping and I think he was upset. In fact when he had to come back that night he sent the nice guy who was very apologetic. Just beware and get in writing your price and description of work at time of the estimation. A word to the wise is sufficient. Good Luck!
Description of Work: Installed (5) 15 amp breakers to main electrical panel. Because I needed a new electrical box installed to be upto code cause the one I had was dated about 1970 and would not pass inspection if house was sold and I was having them do that job too they gave me discount of $59.00. I paid $340.00 for that days work which was about 15 minutes and put $59.00 down on next job put in new electrical box (main breaker panel) amd a light put in the vestibule where the panel is it is very dark ---scheduled for Jan. 4, 201 at 9 AM There were 2 guys but one left and the job took about 4 hours which is what they said it would be. The Second guy returned after several hours and they had finished replacing box and kept tripping some lines until they finally found out why. I don't know why.. Balance due was paid $1261.11. I asked that the $1200.00 be put on my visa and wrote them a check for the $61.11. When I got my bank statement I seen that the check was never cashed and called visa they had put the full amount on my visa which I asked them not to do. So I called them and asked for my check back either drop it off at my house or mail it. They said no problem. They were confused as to why they had that check thats what guy on phone said. Today is July 11, 2011 and I never got the check back. It has not been cashed but I sure would have felt better it they gave it back to me. I am assuming they destroyed the check. When I called back that is what they said they did with it when I speciafically asked they not do that. Anyway after they left I went to use my computer and the line was dead. They had to come back and fix the same problem they were having before they had left and this was about 5PM that day. It was a very long day since 9Am getting one main Panel and a pull chain light clipped to a board in basement ceiling completed. I asked about replacing outlets in my kitchen and outside deck with gfi outlets and they said it would be around $500.00 for 5. I bought the gfi outlets at Home Depot for $99.00 and a friend will install them soon (5). The old panel was marked with what breaker went to what but they threw them out and never marked the new. Another inconvience. Read on please.------
