Brandon called and set up an appointment for 9am. I took off work and waited. Never showed up. Texted me at 11 to apologize. Said he was tied up at another location. If he would have texted me earlier I would not have lost a day of work. Not very professional.

These guys were great. Very professional. There was a project manager on site the whole time making sure the work was performed correctly. The owner even came by to check things out. They used a quadcopter to take pictures and videos of the work as it was being performed on the roof and provided copies to me. Special screens were put in place to protect my landscaping from falling debris when the damaged roofing was removed. I would definitely use them again, no question.

Pathetic experience. New roof leaked in 2 different places causing condensation issues during cold seasons. George RAIN gave every reason from a text book / google search which would cause the water patch to appear in the ceilings. Reasons included Ice Damming, clogged vents, bad HVAC, bad sky lights etc. and many more. 3 different independent consultants were hired to confirm the leak was indeed from the roof. George Rain refused to leave my property because i would not accept his reasoning. He in fact gave a veiled threat that he has a good lawyer if this matter ever went to a civil court. I had the roof replaced again by a reputed local contractor. It costed me a fortune. It turned out the ice and water shield was NOT installed by RAIN remodeling Co. around the skylights when the roof was first installed. I would NEVER recommend anyone to hire RAIN remodeling Co. In addition, I would encourage everyone who hired RAIN in the last few years to engage an independent contractor for an inspection report. It is worth the effort.

Response from Rain Remodeling Co
We did replace Mr [Member Name Removed]'s roof on July 29, 2016. It was an insurance claim. We do the work as specified by the insurance company. The insurance paid $5,326.94 for the entire roof to be replaced. In January we were contacted by Mr. [Member Name Removed] that he had a leak. The weather was bad, we sent someone out to assess it Jan. 31st. We shoveled ice and snow off of the roof. Where he said it had been leaking, which was close to the gutter. It was 'Basically Ice Damming which was happening all over Pittsburgh. He called again said it was still leaking. We went out each time Mr. [Member Name Removed] called. We determined it was coming from excess moisture from a few things, inconsistent loose insulation that was uneven from a few inches to over 12 inches. Heat escaping from a warm 2nd floor into a cold attic causes condensation so we had also contacted a HVAC expert about his concerns. He told us that this is a common occurrence that time of year. And based on the pictures he feels that some gases, moisture and creosote could be excaping from the connections from the HVAC air handler and chimney pipe which was directly below the areas of most concern by Mr. [Member Name Removed]'s. Mr. [Member Name Removed]'s refused him access too his attic, and basically threw us off his property. We are a reputable Company and we stand behind our work. Mr [Member Name Removed] has a 5 year warranty with us. If there is anything wrong with the roof. We have tried working with him, but if he refuses us access to his property we cannot do anything. We feel the roof was installed properly and his problem is coming from excess moisture in his attic, which has nothing to do with us. Mr [Member Name Removed] only received $5,326.94 to replace his roof Exhibit A he's asking for $7,500 and there is nothing wrong with the roof installation. Replacing the roof will not stop his issue. Exhibit B-Customer satisfaction sign off sheet. Exhibit C- Explains his problem. I would gladly post photos of the exhibits if able. Sincerely, Pam Rain

I called Rain because we had a roof leak that we needed to have inspected and fixed. It first took me two days to get in touch with someone. When I finally did, it was an off-site answering service (most likely a third party service). The lady took my information, but could not speak to their services or the type of work they do. She told me that she was simply part of an off-site answering service that would pass my information along to Rain so that someone could call me back. Unfortunately, that call back never came. I did try contacting them again, but with no luck. Due to the nature of a roof leak and dealing with insurance, we had no choice but to go with a contractor that actually responded to us. For a company that markets themselves as hail, storm, and wind damage experts, this lack of communication and urgency is unacceptable. A damaged roof can lead to bigger problems the longer it sits damaged and leaking. It doesn't take an expert to tell you that... and it's a good thing, because the "experts" never got back to us. We won't be recommending Rain to anyone we know.

Happened quickly, looks great. Martin is very responsive and available and set up the entire process with input from my insurance. The only reason I did not give all A's is that I did not get paperwork in timely manner and did not receive a copy of my warranty as yet.

.Rain Remodeling crew arrived promptly on the morning of April 4, 2016. The structure houses six (6) townhouse units. Day #1 involved off-loading all the materials required for a roof of this size. On Days 2 thru 5, the crew arrived early each day & immediately began working, despite the fact that the week of April 4 was both rainy & cold. On some mornings, there was a light coating of snow on the roof. In my particular unit, there were known issues regarding plywood that needed replacing prior to new shingles going down. The Project Manager & 2 employees personally inspected my attic before that work began & the employee spent the entire day making the repair while other crew members went about removing the old roof on the rest of the building. Other than for their lunch break, the Rain crew worked consistently from early in the morning well past 7 PM each day. On their final day on site (April 8), it was past 8 PM before they finished cleaning up, removing debris & loading the dumpster. Inasmuch as I am the only occupant of the building who is home all day, I was able to observe the above firsthand. Rain Remodeling did an amazing job, far exceeding expectations. While none of us -- the six owners in the building -- had any input in choosing this provider, I did compliment (via email) the management company and our Homeowners' Association for their wise choice in selecting Rain Remodeling.
Description of Work: Removed old roof, gutters & downspouts & replaced with new shingles, gutters & downspouts on a 6-unit building. Unable to provide cost information as service was contracted through our Homeowners' Association & the company that manages the townhouse complex.

It appears they did a very good job overall. I had to clean up a little after job complete but overall it was good Its about 1 year later and I believe they did a good job. They were fast and the quality appears good. Salesmen tried to work with me and accommodated. TIP - Do NOT sign until after you read the contract thoroughly and until you are ready to go. Ask if you can have time to review before signing. This is with any Roofing company. - FYI _ Insurance company did come out to re-inspect the work was complete. - Showed up at house unannounced a few times. Just ask them to call first. Summary I gave a B overall because I am trying to be fair. They did Quality work and were fast. The persistence was trying at times and the miscommunication over the agreement(at the end) was unfortunate but they did try and work with me overall. I am glad I had my roof done but my whole family are glad the whole process is over. Just be clear with what is agreed upon and you should consider using them.

Rain Remodeling had probably more signs posted everywhere ? telephone poles, along the roadside, people?s lawns ? than anybody else. That should have been a warning sign. What they were hawking was a free roof inspection for wind or hail damage. In the past year, our area was hit by a nasty hail storm. The size of the hail varied from area to area, so it was impossible to know if your roof sustained any damage, unless it was obvious. So I decided to go along with the free roof inspection. What could it hurt? The salesperson came out and he only went up on my front porch roof. He ignored my main roof and my rear porch and garage roofs. In a matter of minutes, he came down and showed me a plethora of pictures of reputed hail damage on his phone. I looked for pictures of hail damage on the Internet and they looked similar to what I was show by the salesperson. He suggested I next call by insurance company and file a claim. What I should have done, was get a second opinion from a roof inspector. When the insurance adjuster came out, they spent about 40 minutes doing a thorough inspection on all the roofs ? as opposed to the salespersons 3 minute inspection. Get this. They found no hail damage whatsoever! After the adjuster?s inspection, the salesperson was telling me a whole different story: that there simply was no hail damage. Really! You may think now that this is no big deal. The insurance company simply doesn?t pay for a new roof. But what one can forget is that if your insurance policy has a ?no claim? credit, you can lose that credit for the indefinite future. For me, the credit is about $120. I haven?t gotten my next homeowners renewal, but I expect to see a significant increase. And for what is this expense incurred - a bogus claim about nonexistent hail damage? I really wonder how many people are told that they do not have hail damage. I would bet that they simply tell everyone that their roof is damaged and just see if the insurance company is agreeable. If not, they lose nothing. But this may not be true for the homeowner. Do yourself a favor. Get a second opinion from a roofing inspector who doesn?t have a vested interest in replacing your roof.

I didn't end up using them. They kind of went on and stalked me for a while but they gave up. The salesman kept driving in my neighborhood (because he lives very close) until he saw that I needed some roofing. He knocked on neighbors' doors, he was pretty aggressive and I heard a lot of bad things about them. Since it was an insurance claim, he said that the insurance company had under-priced the job so it was like he was trying to get more money but then he would lower the price as well. It was as though he was willing to do anything to get the business. He would call 4 to 5 times a day at certain points and showed up at really odd hours. My neighbors complained that he was bothering them. I would advise people to get a whole lot of estimates and check out the work he's done before using them. I'd be really careful.

First, it was incredibly easy to work with Dean Addams, the sales agent for Rain Remodeling. Dean was attentive, proactive with my insurance carrier, and super customer friendly. He listened to our needs and followed up to any issues promptly. The crew that completed my roof replacement was courteous, careful about accessing my roof without damaging shrubs and flowers, and worked hard, efficiently and focused on installing the roof with quality. Tools, materials, and scraps were cleaned up adequately each day, although I did find a number of loose nails in the driveway after they finished. (about a half dozen) The crew that handled the siding replacement was a different crew, specializing in siding. That was comforting to know that Rain specializes their crews. They were equally hard working, efficient and courteous. A little bit of damage to a flower bed, but nothing I didn't expect with the extent of siding work that was done. The quality of the installation was actually better than the original siding installation. One downspout was reinstalled upside down, but it only took one call to Dean Addams and he arranged for a crew to stop by and they fixed it very quickly and correctly.
Description of Work: Rain Remodeling first provided me a quote to replace my roofing which was damaged due to hail. Once the roofing was replaced I worked with them to have my siding replaced as well.

We scheduled the work to begin at 7:00 am. The crew showed up at 6:45 am to set up. They placed tarps around the house to catch the debris from the roof removal. By the time I got home from work, they were 75% done with the work. I observed them for the next few hours and noticed they had one guy that was constantly walking around the house cleaning up. I really appreciated that. One part of the roof had been previously leaking and Randy showed me the damaged wood underneath and had the bad parts replaced. So glad that it was taken care of. The guys worked until 8:30 pm to complete the entire roof. What an awesome crew! I was so happy that it was done in one day. I was very impressed with the work that was completed - our roof looks great, how clean our yard was after the crew left - we have two dogs and I was worried about them, and how professional the entire team was. Excellent job!
Description of Work: I asked Rain Remodling to inspect my roof for hail damage. Their salesperson (Joe) and inspector (Randy) inspected the roof, found hail damage, and recommended that I contact my insurance company. Joe and Randy met with the inspector from the insurance company and it was determined that there was hail damage. After receiving the approval and check from the insurance company, Joe directed us on how to work with our mortgage company to get the funds released, met with us again to pick shingles, and scheduled the work to be completed. We had our entire roof replaced.
