PENN WASTE

First of all, the cost was outrageous. Nearly $700. Had I realized that this was not the same company we had used in the past, I would never have chosen them. I was told that the price included two weeks of use. I knew it was going to take me more than two weeks, so I asked about it and told them I would need it longer. She told me it would be $5 a day after the initial two weeks. So, I had it delivered on May 28. I told them I wasnt sure just exactly how long it would take me. They said just to call when I wanted it picked up. Thats easy enough! Well, today, June 26th, I went out to put some things in the dumpster and start my day of throwing stuff away.....only to find they had come taken the dumpster!!!! I couldnt believe it. I had never called them to come get it and it was only half (or less) full! I called them right away. I spoke with Paula (she is the one I spoke to originally to set up the delivery and she is the one that told me that it would be $5 a day after the two weeks, etc. She told me she would have to speak with Andy who was in charge somewhere. So, I eventually got a phone call back and Paula said that she didnt remember our conversation exactly (when I ordered the dumpster) but that she was not supposed to let me have it more than the two weeks. (How is that MY problem????) I was then told that they could deliver me another dumpster, but that I would be charged the $600+ again!!!! Are you serious?!?! I already had a dumpster, and all I wanted was to have it back! This company is definitely in it for the money, and doesnt care about the customer!! They make more money delivering it than they do renting it out at $5 a day. But again, why is that MY problem?? Their company representative is at fault, not me. So, I ended up having to order another dumpster from another company (thanks Donna at Republic!!!) I should have gone through Republic (York Waste Disposal) in the first place and I would have avoided this whole mess. I have to start new with Republic, but even so, its much cheaper than Penn Waste! Only $400 and some change. And, I can keep it as long as I need it. Thats the way it should be. I will be writing a letter to Penn Waste's Owner. I think I should be able to get at least half my money back since I only got to fill it halfway (or less), I will NEVER use Penn Waste again for anything. Neither should you!!!
