Professional, quality service. After 3 yrs tubs still look great. Only draw back they didn't put drains, faucets back in place.

Cameron was timely, knowledgeable, and friendly. I'm actually glad that I had to reglaze it, because his finish is much better than the previous one. One of the screws from the drain got misplaced, and Cameron sent me a new one, as he promised. What great service. He clearly takes pride in his work.
Description of Work: I needed my bathtub reglazed after the reglazing from another company three years ago was peeling terribly.

There are a number of reasons why I am giving a bad review. When the technician initially came out to reglaze my tub and surrounding tile, it took a really long time (about 9 hours). The tech told my husband that the reason it took so long was due to the fact that his partner (who is no longer with the company)was usually the person who did the actual work— this technician had actually not refinished a tub “in awhile”. Red flag #1. Regardless, the tub looked fantastic and I was thrilled for about a month until the finish began to chip and rust around the drain (we followed instructions and did not use abrasive cleaners). I called the technician and he agreed to come back to take a look at it. The tech arrived at my home a few days later and seemed unsure of what to do— he said he could touch it up, but it would probably end up rusting again. He hypothesized that the chipping/rust was due to the tub drain sitting a bit high, causing some water to pool around the drain. He offered to return a few days later with a new drain. When he returned, he was unable to get the drain out, claiming he “didn’t think he would need his plumbing tools” (keep in mind this is a 40yo tub). It was a bit difficult to get him to return again, and it was obvious he didn’t really want to come back. After going back and forth over text messages, he reluctantly returned with his plumbing tools a few days later. He was unable to get the drain out with a simple plumbing tool and told me he would have to return yet AGAIN with a dremel. At this point, I told him I was getting frustrated. He offered the excuse that he was working out of a car instead of his truck and wasn’t able to carry his usual amount of tools (although his Suburban was parked in my driveway). Miraculously, he was able to locate some more tools in the Suburban and proceeded to cut the drain out with a dremel. Well, he ended up breaking a pipe. After he told my husband that he would have to return later, my husband lost his cool and told him he needed to fix what he broke. He returned a few hours later and fixed the pipe. I contacted the tech a few days later and thanked him for fixing the pipe and asked when he could return to touch up the chipping finish. He was non-committal and proceeded to email me an invoice for $309 for the broken pipe (this was in addition to the $1000 that I already paid him for the tub refinishing). I told him that I’m not paying $309 for a pipe when he never told me upfront that there would be an additional charge, especially considering the fact that he broke the pipe due to his own incompetence. I am now out $1000 and have a chipping, rusty tub and will have to hire someone else to fix the tub properly.

Ms. [Member Name Removed] agreed to pay for the new tub drain and now states she won't. I'm not sure why Angies list members who don't pay for an agreed service are allowed to leave a review. I'm happy to not have to work for her any longer as her husband used the F-word in front of his kids at me.

Rather than totally gut my 1990’s Toll Brothers bathroom to the tune of $30K , I decided to do a poor girls remodel and change the vanity , sink, lighting plumbing fixtures and paint for a fraction of the cost. The jacuzzi tub had a waterfall faucet that I wanted to replace with a faucet and handshower. When I removed the waterfall faucet , I was left with three plumbing holes but I only needed two for the new trim. Cameron did an excellent job filling that center hole. It is as if it was never there. He matched the color on a 25 year old tub perfectly. I did not expect it to be as invisible as it turned out. I am so pleased with his work. He’s a nice guy too. I am going to ask him back to reglaze my other tub since it got scratched on a tile job last year.

Great experience. We had our entire bathroom re-glazed by these guys and I found them reasonable, responsive, timely and honest. Most of my contact was with Cameron, but Joe did some of the work too. Our bathroom had a lot of contrast in the original tile work; mostly white tiles with a bunch of dark blue ones interspersed. It took quite a few coats to cover the dark blue tiles entirely. I really appreciate how Cameron came to inspect what we were about to approve as the final coat only to have him point out some flaws and resolve to make it perfect. You can tell that he takes pride in his work.

I just had a small job. You know how hard it is to get someone to come out for a small job. It was no problem for them. Joe ? not sure of his name but he was very nice and did a great job replacing some bathroom tiles, regrouting, and caulking around the tubs in two bathrooms. I don't know how he got my husband's bathtub to shine like new! Also regrouted kitchen tiles. Very neat, professional, excellent results. Thank you!!

It did not go at all. They arrived an hour early and no one was home. They did not call a head of time nor did they call while they were at the house. My fiance had taken a day off from work to be there. She arrived a bit early, but they had already lift. When she phoned the company, they told her that they always come at 8:00 AM and ignored her retelling them that the appointment was for 9:00 AM. In further discussion, they virtually admitted that work for Angie's list came last among their priorities as they were paid more with a direct connection to the customer. We made other arrangements and the work is now completed. Please refund the payment I made to Angie's list s the service was not performed.

Excellent. He came on short notice and gave me an estimate of about $300 for 3 hours. It ended up taking him 4 hours so cost was about $400. He did call me in at the end of the 3 hours to point out the cost we had discussed would be more if he continued which we agreed to, but I appreciated his honesty in pointing it out! My shower and tub literally look brand new, my mother in law came that weekend and actually asked me if the shower had been re-tiled! It's gleaming white and looks great and was very well done.
Description of Work: Out tub needed to have moldy caulk pulled out and replaced. The white square tiles also had been regrouted at some point and not done well so they needed to be regrouted.

However when the tech arrived he explained that we had already had it painted before (through a previous owner apparently) and it would cost us more to do the job. Additionally he told us that we would be better off not doing the work because there should be other work done both before and after. Totally honest and professional. We opted not to have the work done, however, I would feel absolutely comfortable hiring him in the future.

We did not end up glazing the tub, so we did not employ this company, but they are very straightforward and easy to deal with.
Description of Work: I was inquiring as to a price on reglazing a tub for a bathroom remodel. A representative from Tub and Tile answered my request quickly and advised me on several aspects of our project. Ultimately he advised me that replacing our tub instead of glazing it would be best, even though that meant he would not receive the work. He was extremely helpful and I appreciated his honestly. I would consider them for future projects should the need arise.

I am haunted by bathrooms from the past as this is the 2nd bathroom that I have asked Tub N'Counter to transform. (The review on the 1st haunted bathroom was written on 9/24/15). While the plumbing in the shower/bathtub was from the 1970's, there were additional challenges in that half of the bathroom window was in the shower area (the house was built in 1911), the short wall of the shower (the wall which holds the shower head etc.) was an outside wall of the house and the water supply feed was coming from the long wall of the shower (not an outside wall of the house). Prior to engaging Cameron, I sent him pictures of the current state particularly calling out the concern about the window and the shower/bathtub water supply feed. Cameron's initial response was a calm and assured "this is pretty simple as these jobs go for me" - words that were not only music to my ears but eliminated the necessity of engaging and coordinating the work between a plumber and another contractor to complete the plumbing and the tile work where the window wood trim and sill had been removed. (The existing sash was replaced with a vinyl replacement sash and the original wood window trim, that was in the shower area, and the removal of wood window sill were addressed by others. The wood window trim that was not in the shower area remained in place to maintain the original architectural detail.) I immediately learned that Cameron delights in tackling jobs that are not "cookie-cutter" and has experienced skills other than reglazing. (I am certain I am shortchanging Cameron here in my plumbing explanation and notation of skills. Apologies.) That is, he can competently address plumbing concerns. Cameron was able to eliminate the need for the water supply feed coming out of the long wall of the shower, one less protusion, as now the water supply feed is part of the tub spout. Cameron also proactively added 2 new wall valves, which did not pre-exixst, and a trap adapter to the sink. Joe is meticulous in the preparation of the existing tile for the reglazing, corrected a noticeable tile around the sink that was initially installed on an angle and was cracked and has an eye for the placement and level of new fixtures. All the dated fixtures, towel bar in the shower area etc. were removed and replaced with current fixtures (shelves etc.) The bathroom was spotless upon the completion of the work as even the floor was cleaned. Invoicing is itemized and timely. Both Cameron and Joe are easy to work with, communicate well, are knowledgeable, have proven successful experience, are courteous and professional. My nightmare of a bathroom, 1970's avocado, is now a dream of a bathroom, 2016 sleek white, thanks to Cameron and Joe !! One can now take a shower, looking out the window to the sky and evergreens, from a pristine environment. Typing I am thrilled is an understatement !
Description of Work: Removed 1970's shower/bathtub fixtures Rerouted shower/bathtub water supply line Added 2 new wall valves and trap adjuster to the sink Installed new shower/bathtub fixtures Waterproofed and tiled area where bathroom window trim and window sill were removed Provided knowledgeable plumbing advise and execution Reglazed tiled walls, bathtub and shower area
