Sal's Water Tight Roofing

Stay away from them, they are not going to do that they say that they are going to do.

My mother is a 70 year old woman suffering from Alzheimer's, and has lived in Southwest Philadelphia her entire life. After my father's passing, maintenance around the house has suffered. Recently, after the torrential rain we experienced a few weeks ago, my mothers roof was leaking in several parts of the house. My mom called Angi's list, and asked for roofing experts in the area. Sal @ Sals Watertight Proofing was the 2nd contractor to reach back out to my mother. On 1/10/24, my mother was given an estimate for $2,900 for 4 line items of work. After that work was performed, Sal asked my mother for an additional $1,300 for the work to be finished. She did not receive a receipt or work order for this supposed work. Yet, she still paid what was requested. Past this, Sal asked my mother for personal loans for "home renovation" on 2 separate occasions. On 1/12/24, Sal instructed one of his workers to drive my mother to her bank to withdraw $2,000, and $4,000. Then on 1/16/24, Sal repeated this AGAIN (knowing my mother didn't remember what happened 4 days ago), and asked for an additional $3,500. Sal told my mother that he would pay her back on Monday (1/22/24). Repeated voicemails and text messages left, Sal still hasn't answered my calls. I want to prevent this predator from scamming another elderly person out of their retirement money.

This company charged me 3500 to repair multiple leaks around the property with a guarantee. They swore up and down their job was done with quality workmanship. Next day it was when it rained, same leaks occurred in all the same spots. I reached out numerous times for them to make good on their work. After giving me the runaround for days, they never showed and now are not responding. I started researching their company, and the address listed is fake. If you see this company look the other way is all I can recommend. They are nothing but scammers.
