After a stressful business computer crash, I was glad to see that this provider serviced my area from a nearby office. When I called the provider, I told they didn't service my area, based on zip code. I was glad someone answered the phone and got a definitive answer. I would just appreciate if they would update their listing.

He was on time, having called to say the previous job was taking longer than expected so he'd be a bit late. Since I'd want the same attention to my problem, I felt that was reasonable. He was prepared with hardware and seemed to have a supply of software to try to fix all the issues I was having. The old desktop gave him lots of trouble - it runs 97 - and he came back a week later since I still could not get all the items off and once I did, neither he nor I could actually look at some old photos (turns out they were AOL format which is not supported at all anymore). So some old photos were still lost to me, but I can, and did, take a picture of the screen with my cell phone and they seem 'ok'. The old laptop still does not work and I am in the process of taking off all worthwhile files so I can donate that one along with the old desktop to a local charity which refurbishes them for people who cannot afford to buy their own. The new laptop runs slow again. Not sure what happened. Am running AVG as he suggested and try to clean up things frequently but am getting worried. I don't feel it would be worth getting it worked on since it is 4 yrs old, though people tell me it is a good machine (HP pavilion dv6).

Fred got rid of it, and returned the computer as good as new.

Waited 4 weeks with this review and everything is still working as it should.

Computer died. Needed to get over 8 years and 185 GB of my priceless family photos recovered from my hard drive. Took it to a local store and they could not help. The service tech named Al was able to start retrieving the files within the hour. Due to the size of the files being transferred, he suggested to leave the equipment running while he went off to other clients. I greatly appreciated him not sitting there (and running up the bill when there was nothing he could do but wait for the files to transfer). It took nearly 7+ hours to transfer all the files...and I have them all back now! Thanks AL! Super convenient having someone come to my home to work on my computer. I hope to never have computer issues again. But if I do I feel comfortable that this is an honest company not trying to rack up billing hours.

My husband and I both work in the medical profession. We don't know much about computers. Fred was fantastic to work with. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I really appreciated the fact that he worked on ALL THREE of our devices at the same time. He arrived on time and worked really hard in completing the job in a timely manner. All devices that he serviced are working well. We will have Fred come back on a regular basis to maintain our computers!

Went well. Fred was friendly, had to leave to get an extra part (an extension to the internal cable from the power supply to reach one my DVD drive), and definitely knew his stuff. It was nice to have someone come on site so quickly, even though I'm technically a little outside the normal service area of Fast-Teks. Promptness was a big relief, because I had a deadline for work and some work was trapped inside that computer, so I could not afford to wait a few days for it to be fixed. I had used a different computer repair service a few months ago, and was happy with it too, but I wasn't able to reach them soon enough. Fast-teks price was a little higher, but given the urgency of a repair, it was worth it.

Al was right on time, and gave me a sense of his competence immediately. My computer had his full attention the entire time. He explained clearly any procedure new to me, and engaged me in providing solutions to my frustrations, asking me what my usage habits are, etc. I am so grateful and FAST TEKS is now my "go-to" for computer frustrations.

Called and they were out that afternoon. Al was great - showed up right on time, explained what he was doing (and why), fixed the problem we had been having and was done within the estimated timeframe.

They were very prompt. They came that day even after normal business hours. He sat down and went right to work. He got all of the work done in the first hour. He added software protection. We have been very pleased with the service. Since he did the work, everything has been working fine. They even gave me a 10% discount because I was an Angie's List member.

Service was wonderful as stated above!

Technician called in advance to say he could come early, which was great. I explained our computer issues in layperson's terms, and he patiently listened and interpreted what I was trying to tell him. He checked all of the components, made some suggestions, and resolved several issues. He worked efficiently with a pleasant attitude.

Fred removed the FBI virus. (sorry folks, I mixed up the boxes and what I should have written here is written above and vice versa but that doesn't change the fact that Fred did a great job)

The technician arrived at the appointed time, was efficient and completed the task at hand.

Both Austin and Fred were very professional, friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable. They explained things so I would know what they were doing and what was done, and why. And, my cats loved them, too! Would I recommend them? Oh, HECK YEH!! In fact, I already have recommended them to a co-worker who is having the same issues in her apartment. Fantastic people to deal with! I only gave a B on price just because the pricing was ok, not over the top, but who wouldn't want to save more on anything, right? ;)

When I called for an estimate and an appointment, I was given an hourly rate and an appointment for the next day. The tech arrived promptly, assessed the damage and began repairs. A second worker arrived a little later . They repaired the computer within an hour and explained why our fix didn't work, without making us feel like idiots.

My computer broke while I was doing a real estate transaction. I called Fast-teks at 1:00 p.m. The service rep actually apologized that he couldn't have someone there before 5:00 and scheduled the appointment. Shortly thereafter I realized that I couldn't keep the appointment. When I called to cancel I talked to another rep who didn't pressure me about rescheduling. Several hours later the owner of what I assume to be a franchise called me to follow-up because he was concerned when he saw the quick cancellation and wanted to make sure I hadn't cancelled because of a problem with his company. A family member was able to fix my problem the next day but I will certainly call Fast-teks for any problems in the future. I don't know the quality of their work but am sure that if there WAS a problem it would be addressed in a timely manner.

He was on time; quiet guy; business-like. Took the machine apart and put it together again. Talked to my husband over the phone at the end of the visit. Spent about 2hrs at the house. My husband was satisfied with the work and details. We kind of knew he would have to buy a new computer.

The hard disk on my 5 year old Dell desktop computer crashed without warning. From that point I could not re-boot the computer despite many attempts to use the computer's diagnostics and repair programs. Fred and his colleague Steve came on time and spent 2.5 hrs with me, first to try to get the system operating, then replacing the hard drive, and re-loading the OS and my programs, while also trying to obtain data off the old hard drive once it was out of my computer. Both Fred and Steve listened, worked professionally, systematically, and methodically. They answered all my questions and treated me with respect. They solved my computer issues and I was up and running once they completed their tasks. Fred called back several days later to ensure all worked well.

At our request, the technician completely uninstaled the computers' operating system and reinstalled reinstal of the operating system and virus protection. We were made aware that he could save our files but felt this wasn't necessary as all of our important documents, pictures and other files had previously been backed up on external hard drives. The technician provided great solutions advice and realistic information concerning the capabilities of our machines and their operating systems. This gives us great information to move forward with these machines as they are used for management of our home, and the occassional work at home project. The technician was extremely knowledgeable and provided us with excellent advice to move forward. We feel thi sis important to follow as we'd like to avoid problems in the future. For the type of services performed and the convenience of having this performed in our home, my husband and I feel the price is very reasonable. And far exceed what we would have been provided at a big box drop off store. Thanks so much for great service Fast Teks!

I called for an appointment on Saturday and was given several choices for a Monday appointment. They arrived punctually and began with taking a survey of my concerns and how I use my computer. After starting the computer, they determined they the best course of action would be to re-install the OS, after backing up my files. The rationale was explained to me and throughout the appointment, they offered advice and information. Once the re-install was completed, Fred took care to re-install my Slingbox, even calling their customer service on my behalf, and testing it to assure it would work properly. All work was done as efficiently as the computer would allow, and very professionally.He was very generous with his time, which I really appreciated.

Tech arrived on time, explained what he was doing and showed how to prevent future problems. Very satisfied.

Fred Jackson of Fast tek was very professional he showed up on time, and I didn't realize until he showed up that my wife had taken the infected laptop to work. He was understanding and did not mind waiting a good half hour for my wife to get home. Once he had access to the laptop he went ahead and backed up all our photos and important files, and then he removed the Trojan Virus with no damage to the laptop. After the virus was removed he scanned the hard drive to make sure nothing else was on there. I would not hesitate to call Fred from Fast teks and would highly recommend him.

It went well overall. The viruses were removed and popups were eliminated. My computer was cleaned up as well and functioning well.
