I called him up after checking the reviews from Angie list. He got back to me promptly and we set up a time that worked well for me. He showed up with two other workers when he was supposed to and he actually went over exactly what we wanted. It was a little complicated because my wife wanted the closets painted the colors of the walls. He went over what to do with the two other workers and they did an excellent job. They moved a freezer washer and dryer and got behind them the job took a day and a half the workers told me before they left for lunch and when they were going at the end of the day. The job is excellent they cleaned up. I could not ask for more. Also price wise I got an estimate which was good and they charged exactly what they said

I called him and he said he would get back in touch with me on Monday. I never heard back from him about times he had available and I needed to get this done. I got the deal refunded.

I purchased a Big Deal for this provider, however he said that he did not service my area although I am located only 30 minutes from where he is located.

Without seeing the work area in advance, I was advised that it may take longer than the 8 hours of labor (4 hours X 2 workers), but he would make every effort to complete the job in the pre-paid Angie's deal price of $223. We were able to work out an agreed upon timeframe, and he kept me advised of his estimated arrival time. Max arrived with an additional workman and completed the job in 2 1/2 hours. Not knowing he would be done so quickly, I felt that I could have probably had him paint my kitchen walls, too, since it is a small surface area that needed painting and could have been completed in the hour and a half of paid labor that remained. I would hire him again but would take in consideration that he works quickly and would have enough work to use the entire time for which I paid. Also, he did not remove the ceiling fixture plates and got some paint on them which I needed to clean up myself. That was my only disappointment in his work.

Our kitchen looks like new. Max was very professional, assessed the job and gave clear instructions to the two-man crew who did the job. Plan to use them again to paint entry and family room. When I bought the paint at Sherwin-Williams, they asked the painter's name. When I said, "Max Barajas," the sales clerk replied, "You've got the best there." Very pleased.

It went very well. They were very professional and got it done in a timely manner. They cleaned up after themselves.

The paint job came out great. My house feels fresh and clean now with a fresh paint. I feel they were reasonable and the results speak for themselves. I would certainly recommend to my neighbors and Angie's list.

Had previously had some cracks repaired in walls and ceiling. They cleaned those up with more sanding and touched up a few smaller places. They painted the entire ceiling and then the living room and part of the entry. I could not be more pleased. They did an outstanding job. They cleaned up after finished and Max returned to make sure we were satisfied with the job. I would highly recommend them. Excellent work!

I was happy with them. It worked out fine. I thought that the services was done well and fairly priced.

Painted our son's bedroom to include walls, ceiling, doors, chair-rail and trim.

It didn't. Didn't call or write back for over a week in the first place, and then didn't call or write back for over another week to schedule the work. Just think they want to keep the money, or so it seems. Very poor communication, not very professional at all.

Purchased 10/11. He messaged me 10/12 to pick three dates that were good for service. 10/13, I got back to him with three dates and what needed to be done. Between 10/13 and 10/28 we went back and forth to set something up and I was the one who had to keep messaging him back to get a response. My husband called him 10/30 and we were able to finally set a time and date for 10/31 at 9am for him to look at what had to be done. 10/31 came at 9am and he never showed or called. We got this service to avoid these kind of contractors and here we are dealing with one. This isn't going to work so we would like a refund.

At first we couldn't arrive at a date. Then we finally connected and set a date to which he didn't show. I decided to get a refund on this deal.

The job was performed in a quick but careful manner. I am very satisfied with the result.

While it was a little challenging to schedule with Max, once he was here he and his partner worked well and efficiently to get the job done. They were neat and did a nice job.

I contacted the provider in Nov 2012 to come to my house and provide a quote. I got a reply in Aug 2013!

I called August 28th and left a message. I didn't receive a call back so I emailed him on August 29th and let him know that I wanted to schedule service for the painting Big Deal. He responded to my email and let me know that they don't service New Jersey and told me to have Angie's List find me another painter. I responded immediately and let him know that the Big Deal was already purchased and I was within the radius that the Big Deal details showed. He never responded to me.

He took nine days to respond to my order. Then he says does not ;do work in my area.So why not inform me right away.

Max was very quick to respond back to any phone calls. He was quite busy from the date I bought the Big Deal, but always kept in touch letting me know when he would be able to come out & perform the work. Max was very personable and his crew professional. They did an excellent job painting all of the trim work, window moldings, doors & walls in my study. They were very neat and cleaned up everything beautifully. The spackling prep work was also done very well.

Perfect! Efficient, skilled and personable. 3 men did the job in 3.5 hours and cleaned up when they were done. We are very happy with the results and will be using him again in the future. Great experience!

He and his staff were prompt, well prepared, professional and efficient. As well, they thoroughly cleaned up after the job was done. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Max's painting services and will have him return for larger jobs.

I bought the Angie's List $199 deal for a painter for 8 Hrs of work. Max was able to give an appointment with in two days to see what needs to be done and to give an estimate. I was given an estimate for 5 Hrs of work with two painters for painting the garage. I was satisfied with the extra 1 Hrs of work on top of $199 deal as the garage was never painted before and also the estimate is close to other estimates I received from other companies. Max also provided his recommendations on paints. He recommended flat and satin paints for the ceiling and the walls. When I asked about the Primer, Max said it is not required and he can use flat paint. I arranged all the paints as per the recommended quantities. On the day of painting work, Max and his staff (2) arrived in the morning at my home as per schedule. After the work has been started, Max has left and other two of his crew continued the work. Everything went very smoothly until afternoon. During noon, I was told they need more white paint. I ran to Home Depot and arranged the required quantity. After an hour, I was told the flat paint does not look good on the Garage ceiling and they need to use oil based primer. I was also told they need to spend more hours than what originally planned for because of the additional work with primer. They arranged a gallon of primer with out any charge. Finally the work has completed by evening and took 3 additional hours than originally planned for. I have satisfied with the quality of work. But I end up paying more than any other estimate I received for this work..

Bought a Big Deal coupon. Scheduled. Maxi arrived with two workers. They finished preparation and one coat in time allotted. I felt a second coat was warranted and paid extra for more time. The workers were polite and neat and did a fine job. The ceilings look great.
