We have had leak issues with both bathrooms. We hired M&K to demolish both our bathrooms and rebuild. M&K was amazing. From the moment we hired them it was not just a contractor coming in to do work. We really feel like they partnered with us on this project. They helped in guiding us towards what would work for replacing certain items and were very communicative in the whole process. The contract listed out each part of the project and its cost. The total quote included the items needed and the budget in the quote for those items. It made it very easy to know if we were going to go over the total or stay under. As we changed things they told us the cost the change would incur and what it would entail. No matter how complex the change, like having a pocket door installed instead of a hinged door or as simple as repurposing a vanity. When they found any issues they would contact us immediately to discuss out options. The attention to detail Hugo and Eli had was amazing. They would make recommendations on where things should be and explain why it may be better that way. It was not explained in a way that some contractors do where they talk to you like you are in idiot. This was a nice change of pace from other contractors we have hired. The whole home stayed clean and tidy as they completed each bathroom. We finally can use both bathrooms without fear of water seeping behind everywhere and they look absolutely amazing. The cost in the approximate cost was the quote not including the extras we asked for or the water issues they found that had to be fixed or the fixtures we went over budget on. I definitely will hire again.

The job went perfect. The price was exactly what we budgeted for. They Project was over 3 days. The crew showed up on time each day and cleaned up at the end of each day. We could not ask for a better service. Our fireplace is beautiful! We are going use them later in the year for another project.

They did a great job! Mike was very helpful and detailed from the start. The guys who did the job were great and were also very helpful. Everyone super polite and got the job done quickly and efficiently. They made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. They were also very prompt and on time. Was excited to have a good contractor come out to South Philly to do the job after so many had turned us down for being in the city. Will definitely be calling them again for future projects.

It went very well! I returned home from the shore one Sunday to find my basement had flooded. It was terrifying and terribly stressful. I contacted Michael who'd just been at my house the previous week to give me an estimate for some other minor handywork. He was very responsive and came the very next day. I had carpets in my basement and it was already starting to develop a terrible moldy smell. Michael had one of his workmen remove it ASAP! Michael was with me when I had to meet with the insurance adjustor and was very helpful. They laid a new tile floor, replaced water-damaged doors, fixed an electrical outlet and replaced my sump-pump motor. Also did some parging to replace crumbling walls. All the work came out beautifully and I feel more secure with my basement. Earlier in the spring, his company replaced the four columns on my front porch. They were old and the wood was starting to rot. They replaced them with resin columns and did it in one day! I was very happy with the work and it was a big relief to remove that from my "to do" list. Michael is professional and pleasant and any questions I had, he made himself accessible and available to answer. When my basement flooded, I was so unsure how to proceed but he helped me with each step that needed to be taken. I would highly recommend M&K Renovations for your home improvement needs, be it a big project or just things around the house that need to be done.

The project was completed quickly and efficiently. It only took one day, but it looks like the window was an original part of the house.

M&k does exceptionally high-quality work easy to work with has very good recommendations 4 updating work points things out takes the time to work with you and help you through the process of getting your home put back together during a renovation or any insurance claim they did a great job and I would hire them 4 any work that would need to be done again

We had a ground water flood in August 2018 that created a lot of problems and frustration. Within 72 hours of the flood, Ian arrived and he helped us assess the situation and we went to visit other homes in my neighborhood and asked them how they "engineered out" the problem. We felt confident that the work they were recommending was fair and we actually saved a lot of money and grief by doing the project the way he recommended. Ian was wonderful and we would absolutely use M&K again for future projects.

Mike reached out to my wife once we contacted them for a bid. We wanted to get three bids and M&K Renovations came out and offered a very detailed assessment. Our situation also required help with our insurance company, due to water damage. Mike and Chris who handled the project were great. When we had concerns or issues it was easy to communicate and talk the situation through. Hugo and Eli who worked daily on the project were great and punctual. The bathroom seems like we are in a new house and have a bigger space. They did a great job and I would hire them again on other projects it that arise. I also provided my neighbor with their contact information for work on their bathroom.

Wonderful, I can't say enough about this team. I spent years looking for a contractor like this and I finally found one. It was amazing watching them work, how they cared about every part of the plan. I can't wait for them to start my new project, remodeling the master bathroom.

When I bought my new house as a newly divorced mom of two rambunctious boys, the last thing I wanted to worry about was the string of projects that needed to be done upon moving in. After meeting with a string of handymen and other small business owners who could do some, but not all the projects, who showed up late (or sometimes not at all) for the estimates, or whom I didn't think I would feel comfortable giving access to my home for the extensive work, meeting with M&K was such a relief. They organized all of the work that needed to be done with minimal effort on my end, were professional and punctual, and I am very pleased with the quality of the work. In fact, I called them up again this spring to tend to a few more projects. It is a relief to have a "go-to" company regardless of what part of the house falls apart next.

The work went very smoothly start to finish. They were professional, prompt, courteous, and clear with communication. The carpenters were excellent. Just a very responsive company and very positive experience. Highly recommend!

M&K we're such a great local find! They were always on time whenever we had to meet them for an estimate. Their on-sight crew was friendly and polite. New flooring, new drop ceiling, new bathroom and some new closets. Front and back porch repainted and replaced rusty railing with cool black PVC (no painting). All done in three weeks. All quality work. They emphasized a stress-free experience and they delivered on all counts. I also like that they are a local, family run business with community roots. So, if adjustment s or repairs are needed on something, I know they are nearby.

We were extremely satisfied with m&k's work for our major reconstruction after a water leak. They did what they promised to do. All the subcontractors that they hired were professional and punctual. Michael Gerace kept us informed every step of the way and helped us navigate with the insurance company. We are very pleased with the work done and highly recommend this company.

As this was our first major renovation project, we had a steep learning curve, but Mike & his staff were very helpful throughout. They helped coordinate ordering of supplies, made referrals to stores for ordering tile and countertops, and were very courteous and respectful of our time. They were punctual and we were very happy with their work. We would highly recommend them.

Everything went well - they powerwashed and painted my front porch decking and railings, the railings leading up to my front porch, replaced the copper postcaps, cleaned gutters, etc. They did several jobs and they were my new go-to guys. To the point where they sent me a nice holiday card with a visa gift card as a thank you for business. Then they just stopped replying to me. It was strange. I don't know if someone got sick or if they just decided to trim their list of regular customers or what. Everything was good before that. Puzzling.

We worked with Michael during the proposal phase, and with Ian during the construction phase. They were both very responsive and the workers were respectful of our space, as we were living in the house during the time of the renovation. We used their references for cabinets and granite and were very satisfied with both. This was our first major project, so we hadn't accounted for the additional expenses that pop up throughout the project, but in the end, they were minimal and definitely warranted. Their craftsmanship was exceptional. The tile work and installation of the cabinets were beautiful and they made sure we were happy with the work before the project was finished!

Went perfectly. We had water in our basement and they responded the next day with an estimate and started working immediately. They always emailed or called ahead to verify and arrived promptly. They workers were always courteous and went the extra mile to explain aspects of the project to me. We have used them for many different projects and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended!!
