Jara Construction Roofing & Siding

We hired Jara Construction to remove and replace old water damaged stucco siding. Once the siding was opened up, there turned out to be several secondary issues -- the water damage had affected most of the plywood, and even the foundation in one place). Miguel found solutions for all of these issues. His crew were quick and professional, and we are very pleased with the results.

Had old roof removed in no time and had most of the new roof on by the end of the day. They had everything cleaned up and in the dumpster before they left. They were back a couple days later and finished the job.

Miguel first came out to identify a leak in my attic and temporarily caulked for a flat fee of $150. Then he came out to make a proposal to tear out and replace and old roof area and replace it will shingles atop a water barrier that would both be placed after removing old materials. 50 feet long, sloped, 7.5 feel on each side. He proposed $3800 and said he expected his crew could complete the work in one day. I chose the shingles color from the supply site on line. His crew arrived as planned 2 days later.. about 8 am and completed the job by 3:30. They worked meticulously, left a cleaned up environment and were impressive in every way. I highly recommend Jara Construction for roof repair work.

Compared to a couple of the big companies I called (one of which quoted me more than double to do the same work), I am glad we decided to use Miguel and would definitely use him again on our next project.

Miguel and his team did an excellent job on our house, both a new roof with skylights and all new Hardie Board siding. Our property is on a steep shale hill and his workers did a great job despite the challenging site. Believe me, his guys worked hard. The Hardie Board looks great! The price was lower than every other company, and Miguel promptly answered all my questions and worked with us to pick out the right materials and colors. I would use Jara Construction again.

I agreed with Miguel to set the project up where he could fit his workers in when he had downtime between projects. The elapsed Tim between start and finish was quite long but within the parameters we agreed to. His guys completed the work and they did some innovative things like add aluminum drip edges at the bottom of the repair to minimize future damage. I did have to go behind them with some finishing touches, but it was acceptable to me since I could do it myself and it saved on the cost of the project. Overall, they met my expectations.

We hired Jara Construction after meeting Miguel and getting an estimate. He was quick to respond to us, answered questions and pointed us in the right direction. As we got started it was clear he really knew how to waterproof our home amd made sure the job was done right the first time. I am confident our house is now waterproof and extremely beautiful. Miguel helped us with 13 windows, all new gutters, downspouts, interior trim and Hardie plank siding. His team is professional, courteous and very hard working. Had leak in bedroom ceiling and Miguel caulked the roof, didn't offer unnecessary services. He didn't make us pay until it rained again and provide to water came in. No water has come in so sending a check today! Will be calling him back to install new sliders in my home as well.

I am so pleased that I hired Miguel and his team to do the work. The estimate was slightly less than others, and they were able to start the job quickly. Everything was done as specified in the estimate and with great care and craftsmanship. Miguel had stated during his visit for the estimate that the existing roof had soft spots, with the warning that sections of the decking might need replacing at additional cost. Upon inspection after they removed the two layers of shingles, Miguel informed me that the plywood was in good shape after all. Honest and trustworthy! Miguel was wonderful to work with! During a windy storm, we lost a few shingles on our roof. A few weeks later we found some water damage in the attic. I found Jara on Angie's list, called and spoke to Miguel. Two days later, Miguel was at our house and fixed the issue immediately. He was very easy to correspond with via text message, punctual, and took pictures of the work on the roof which I appreciated.

During the planning stage the owner made several excellent suggestions that really improved the look of the house. We added gutters and downspouts and a skylight that looks amazing. Throughout the project I could tell that they took pride in their work. The crew was polite and careful. At the end of the job the owner personally inspected the work site to make sure everything was clean and the project was to my liking. I am planning to use Jara for some remodeling in my house also and have referred the company to several of my neighbors who noticed how great my house looks.

I'm a real estate broker it went tremendously. He does not want to get big, he's got a couple crews, extremely polite and knowledgeable you always know whats going on. They make suggestions on different things to improve the projects. He's very good at what he does. I'd have him do anything he's qualified to do.

In 2016, Miquel Jara's name was given to me by a local building supply company after another roofing contractor left us in a lurch. Miguel responded promptly and had a crew working immediately. I was so impressed with the job they did that I reached out to him again in 2017 to do our siding, windows and gutters. It was another incredibly positive experience. I cannot say enough good things about Miguel and his crews, even offering suggestions along the way. I am a retired real estate broker and I've dealt with many contractors.
