Replaced all outlets in house and many light fixtures and switches and main junction box. Excellent in all respects.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was the most horrible experience I've ever had. He came in and didn't believe the price so he spent 45 minutes calling his boss and giving me 3 or 4 quotes that went from $400 to $4,800. In the 2.5 hours he stayed, he maybe worked 15 minutes. The rest of the time was just on his phone making quotes that we didn't ask for. I told him to just do the surge protector and then go away and leave us alone. We ended up getting a pretty good deal on the surge protector but we don't even want the guy close to our area anymore. There was a price on his website and on Angie's List for the surge protector. He did that price after a lot of fighting. The job was done correctly. It was the worst experience we've had in years.

The job itself went fine, the electrician was super nice, did a very good job, was very concerned with keeping my house clean, etc. My only complaint was how the job was priced. I purchased a Big Deal--$99 for $200 of service which was described as the equivalent of installing a ceiling fan. I knew the job would be more extensive than installing a ceiling fan, so I fully expected to pay more for the work I needed done. When the technician arrived, we discussed the work to be done, and she then proceeded to pull out a large catalog. The catalog was page after page of "standard" tasks with pre-set prices. She paged through until she found one that she said matched my requirements---for over $1200. My father is an electrician, it would have been less expensive for me to pay to fly him to Philly from Texas to do the work. When I protested the price, she then flipped back through the book until she found another "standard" task that was priced closer to $700--this is the task price that we finally settled on. After my $200 credit from the Angie's List Big Deal, I ended paying a difference of around $400 to $500 (the service was several years ago, I'm estimating the final costs from memory). I know many service companies use this method of pricing, advertising it to their customers as a way of ensuring that they are getting the most accurate price, consistency of pricing between technicians, etc. But in my experience, there is so much variation possible from job to job that there will never be a perfect fit for the standard pricing. And, I suspect the technicians are often pressured to choose the most expensive option from the catalog. I'm not saying that this is what happened with Electric Man, but given the wide difference in the initial price quote and what we finally settled on, it does make me wonder. It is because of my experience with the pricing that I am not giving a straight A rating.

Absolutely wonderful. Came out same day as initial call. Had a window from 1:30-3:30 pm and they arrived at 1:35 pm after the office called ahead to let me know they would be here soon. I had called for a bathroom outlet that my husband couldn't fix, (bad wiring) and they ended up doing all of the electrical work I wanted done in my house. It was fantastic! The electrician and his assistant were polite and thoroughly explained everything. They were able to get everything done in a few hours, leave any mess and were able to point out a few issues that could be fixed, but didn't try to pressure any sales. I also asked for an estimate on installing a new light, which seemed outrageously high. Basic work was reasonably priced. I purchased a year of their "service partner membership" so in case of an emergency I will not be charged an arm and a leg. It also gives me 10% off any work they do, which is wonderful since there is a LOT of work that my house needs. Very satisfied.

The people from Electric Man were professional, courteous, and very responsive. They were respectful of my wife?s time, and understanding that we needed them to fit in the work around the nap schedule of our little ones. They also called my wife to let her know exactly when they were going to be there, and also put her at ease by letting her know that the man was going to be in a well-marked truck so she would feel safe letting him in. We have had issues in the past with repair men not being respectful of our time and not taking into account that my wife feels uneasy letting men into the house that she doesn't know. I did not tell them this, but it seemed almost instinctual for them to make her feel comfortable. We will definitely be using them for all future electrical work.

We made a date for the electrician to come - between 1 - 3pm Got a call from the same cheery dispatcher that he was running late. He'd be there between 3:30 and 4:30. He showed up as I was leaving the house at 5PM. All apologetic. Didn't do a thing. Assured me he would alert them that the work was never done and that a new appointment should be set up. I never heard back from them and they still have my money.

It was a pleasure having Rich do this work. I would recommend this company again and request him, if possible?

They came out and gave an estimate to relocate the wiring of a fan and install a dimmer switch. Their estimate was really high however, so I decided not to use them.

I paid him $20 and let him go.

The price he estimated was far too high for what I wanted (and, in fact, I later had the work done for far less). ?He explained that they were a premium or superior company -- I forget his exact wording. ?That's fine, but not for me. I can't remember whether I was charged for the estimate, but I recall vividly that is was not in my ballpark. ?He put a little pressure on me to proceed, but not much -- basically accepted that I would not hire the company.

Very well. Even got a brass plate for me (additional cost) but matched the location perfectly. I am very pleased.

After three weeks of not calling, I requested a refund from Angie's List of which I received promptly within two weeks.

The technician was on time and very professional. I purchased a $120 deal and i wanted them to install 2 ceiling fans, however when he looked at my existing light fixtures, he determined that my wiring was too old and unsafe to install without re-wiring. He even had his boss to call and talk to me about their policies. I was frustrated and disappointed,but I understood what they were saying. I was told the estimate for rewiring my house was $7000.. I had him do other small jobs around the house and it cost me an additional $400 on top of the $120 deal that I bought. I called another electric company to see if they could install the ceiling fans. Not only were they 1/2 the price of Mr Electric, but they disagreed with the assessment that my existing wiring was too old. We did need some wiring done to update a few outlets. I called Mr Electric back and told them what this other company said, and this time the boss came out herself and admitted that her technician had made an error. The wiring was fine, and she wrote up an estimate for the same outlet wiring as the other company, and Mr Electric was double the price for the same exact thing. While I believe that they do excellent, quality, professional work, their cost was just too high for me to justify calling them for more work.

Company was very responsive and came out same day (at 5pm before a holiday weekend) even though it wasn't an emergency. Excellent service though rate was high and because the technician didn't have his truck, he had to go to Home Depot to get a part and apparently would have replaced other parts had he had his truck with him. However, I was glad to get the job done same day and the tech was gracious about removing the old fan.

It was 2x my other quote. It was really a comical situation. Explaining way it costs 1700 to install 2 ceiling fans. I just told him no and he left.

Great work, wonderful communication, just a little pricey.

All I can say is 'Wow'. I contacted Electric Man with an urgent issue - hours before we needed to leave the house. Within 45 mins, Scott arrived. He diagnosed the problem, fixed it and was on his way 20 mins later. He was very friendly, professional, and easy to work with. I would definitely use them for any future and needs and highly recommend. They came to the rescue for me today!

The technician arrived on time and did the work as stated within the deal. There was immediate communication which was great. They did have to order a couple of parts for me and the communication lacked a little on the part but overall everything was great. I would use them again.

First, the experience was wonderful right from the beginning. The person I talked to on the phone, Elisha (I apologize that I am probably spelling her name incorrectly) was pleasant and helpful when setting up the appointment. On the day of the appointment, they were able to come earlier and both Elisha and Scott called me to confirm if this was okay with me. Scott was polite and efficient. He quoted me the price right up front before he began any work and explained to me the cause of the problem without me even asking. I asked him about another outlet that I had in the house and he fixed that as well as gave me advice about the need for a surge protector strip to protect my TV. While he was there I also asked him about my electrical box and air conditioner and he had no problem providing advice on these, none of which put any money in his pocket. He shook my hand when he came and went and was extremely polite and helpful. Overall, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I would definitely use them again.

Was on time, was very pleasant . He took pictures, pulled a wire out of the ground, told me it was a complex issue and he would have to go back to his "team" and confer. Promised an estimate by the end of the week, never heard from him again.

As usual with the big deals it cost more than what it was supposed to cost. The work was done well, he was polite and kind. Everything went perfect. I had to pay approximately $200 more. I would use them again.

Electric Man LLC was okay. They gave you the estimate of what you wanted to do, I think it was a little higher knowing that they were going to have the discount taken off but I had already purchased it so I had to use the money so I ended up spending more than I wanted. I will probably not use them again.

Very efficient, very professional service. Jed Reilly visited in November and spent quite awhile discussing my electrical problems and wish list including adding outside receptacles, adding motion-detecting spot lights. He suggested the remote control device that turns on my floodlights and porch light from my car as i return home at night. (Works great)! These costs would be reduced if I were to subscribe to a Service Partner Membership for $97.50, but did not do so at this time. I really cannot judge the costs because Electric Man was an Angie's List Big Deal so I did not have other estimates. The service was very thorough, on time, very reliable and Jed was extremely nice to work with.
