After living in our new house for 3 years we had accumulated a number of electrical projects to add/reconfigure various switches, outlets and lights more to our liking. We also wanted a ceiling fan installed. I e-mailed Electric Man and got a phone call that same day to schedule a quote. Jim Pickens came to the house and before he even stepped inside he put covers on his boots to avoid tracking anything inside (I wasn't expecting that!). He listened closely to what we wanted done and provided suggestions and guidance. The quote he wrote up detailed each of the 7 sub-project items and put a price on each one. It was like a menu. It allowed us to determine exaclty what the cost would be if we only wanted some of the work done instead of all of it. We decided to have all of it done. Jim estimated it would be about two days of work. He came back out on the appointed day and got right to work. At various points throughout the day Jim would ask for confirmation on details to ensure he was doing what we had agreed on. At the end of day one he cleaned up everything thoroughly. He returned the second day at 8am as scheduled and continued to work until the entire job was complete, again keeping in communication as necessary. His work included drywall repairs to the few places he needed to go into the wall to run wires. Finishing about 4:30, his time estimate was right on. Jim was totally professional in everything he did from the moment he arrived at the house for the quote to the final sign off on the job. I couldn't be more pleased.

Each time these guys were professional, prompt and thorough. They were patient and willing to take all the time necessary to be sure I understood what they had done and was comfortable with it. The initial contact with he office staff was also pleasant and professional.

After tracking down the problem, the company's representative gave me an estimate and, when I accepted it, began work right away. The work took two full days. There was one additional component added on but not until I was given an estimate and approved it. The two men who worked here were always polite and seemed to be efficient. They checked out their work to make certain everything was in working order before they left.

I found them on Angie's List. They were very, very professional. I was very impressed with the guy who came out. He was a master electrician. He was very thorough and very courteous. I couldn't have asked for anybody better. I think he was absolutely competent, and from what I could tell he gave us a very professional estimate. I would rank them very highly.

They are very professional. I had a problem and they came back very quickly. The guy whore shoe protectors. I would say they are above average. They did a good job.

Excellent. This was not an emergency but I wanted it done. The previous electrician I used was not returning my calls - I've been waiting for 2 months (plenty of time as far as I'm concerned). This lack of customer support is what led me to Angie's List. I called the Electric Man on Monday, August 25th and got an appointment on Wednesday, August 27th for 8am. Jim showed up right at 8. The first thing he did when he walked in: put booties over his boots to prevent scuffing my floors. We walked around - I showed him what I needed done and he asked questions to insure he understood me. He wrote me up a quote (not an estimate) so the price came in exactly as he told me. Yes, they are a little expensive, but you get what you pay for. I couldn't even get other electricians to call me back so I was happy to pay for the excellent service. The work itself was not a lot nor strenuous - the problem was where everything was located. My father (who is not an electrician but is very handy) warned me that it was a bear of a job so I knew going in that it wouldn't be a 15 minute job. Jim worked the entire 4 hours he was here. When he was finished he cleaned up everything and then walked around to show me what he did and made sure I was satisfied. He then went over the bill in detail. He also gave me an estimate for additional work (adding pendant lights in the kitchen). When I am ready for that - I will definitely have them come back. They show up when they say they will and do a great job. I can't think of anything that would have made the experience better - worth every penny!

This company is great! They were immediately responsive, clearly explained the work to be done and worked with me to keep this expensive type of work as reasonable as possible. Jed was the one who came out to look at the job initially and the one to manage the job on the day. They were on time, worked efficiently, checked in with me periodically, as necessary, and cleaned up after themselves. At the end of the day, Jed took me around to explain everything they had done. There was an added expense, but this was something we had talked about being a possibility during the initial estimate. Even so, he threw in the cook-top line for free.

This company was professional, clean, and priced reasonably. I did not mind having to pay extra for more work that needed to be done due to the thorough job.
