Description of Work: Heating World installed a gas fired unit in my fireplace to look like logs burning and give me additional heat to my Living Room. All work was done as promised, workmen were skilled and efficient, sales team was very professional, the price was reasonable, and I am now able to have a clean , safe source of heat in my fireplace.

I purchased a wood burner. Heating world had the best prices and the item was in stock. Delivery date of the stove was as promised. However, when the stove arrived there was only one man on the truck to deliver the stove. The stove weighed approximately 350 lbs and he couldn't handle it alone. If i wasn't there to help him he would not have been able to deliver the stove.

I was looking to replace an existing gas-log fireplace insert with a wood burning stove. Due to the unique design and size of my fireplace, I had a difficult time finding a stove that had the proper dimensions to fit into the fireplace. After much searching, I found a stove that would fit the bill at Heating World in Cresson. Being that Heating World is about 30 miles from my home, I specifically asked if they did installations in my town. I was informed that they did. I purchased the stove, and was informed that they would give me a call in a couple of weeks to schedule a time. After a few weeks past, I swung by the store to find out what was causing the delay. The salesman I dealt with was not present, so another employee checked their records and informed me that nothing had been scheduled. I was told that he would check into it, and make sure that I was scheduled. A few more weeks past with no call from Heating World. Once again I visited the store in person, and spoke to another employee. When I told him my story, he looked at the white board behind his counter that had a calendar for the next month, and told me that nothing had been scheduled. I asked for a refund, and received one. I came to the conclusion that the salesman sold me a stove that they had no intention of ever installing.

Upon pulling into their location, the sales associate obviously noticed my old beat-up truck (I will note that I have an extremely successful white collar job where I work with millionaires. It just so happens that I keep this $500 truck around so that I don't damage my new one). The sales associate instantly gave me the attitude that I was taking up her time and would be of no use as their customer. Beyond telling me that nothing I wanted was in stock and only providing the maximum information of a price on each product, she made no attempt to spend anymore time than necessary with me, and was glad to see me walk away. I subsequently called them back on another date to request a price on the pellets. The individual who answered the phone was quick to ask if I purchased the stove from him before he would divulge any information including his name. After I answered no, he proceeded to tell me that his inventory is running low and he is rationing them to whom he deems necessary. He said that he would be able to part with 10 bags for me, but I needed to be there within the next couple of hours to pick them up. I think that I'll forgo the afternoon off work to pick up my rationed supplies and instead visit his competitor on Saturday. I would hesitate to call them, let alone purchase something from them.
Description of Work: Visited the company twice. The first time I stopped in the show room to purchase a pellet stove for my house. The second time I called in regards to their inventory of pellets for purchase.
