Description of Work: I had a problem with water dripping from the downspout connection at the corner of my home ... the owner came out and replaced the bottom down spout with another piece that jutted out intothe yard area. No charge problem fixed. He had done the gutter replacement prior that's why no charge.

Description of Work: I contacted Evans Quality Roofing based upon a special that was advertised (and is still being advertised) on Angie's List for a roof replacement in mid November 2013. I was out of town and dealing with a serious illness at the time, so it was difficult attempting to find a viable contractor under those circumstances, but I had great hopes of doing so on Angie's List. The ratings for this company were high and very favorable. The advertised special was also not limited to a particular geographical area and seemed a very good deal. I communicated with Jason Evans by message through the website. Initially he indicated that he was booked until February of 2014 in terms of doing any new work. That being said, he indicated he wouldn't be available to give an estimate for three weeks. Given the timing of my inquiry, I didn't find that surprising, so I requested a time for us to meet. I expected to be back home in time for the meeting given the importance of the roof replacement. Imagine my surprise when I was then informed by Jason that he did not do work in Baltimore City and he wished me well on getting another roofer. Frankly, I'm shocked that someone would advertise a special and not put such geographical limitations on it. If, however, the real issue is working in Baltimore City, I am shocked that a reputable business would redline any area of business, particularly given the current economy. For those reasons I would not recommend this company and feel that the advertisement is truly false advertising if it is not available as advertised. I have given some thought to contacting a Maryland consumer protection agency that might look askance on such practices. Too bad that this was one of my first experiences in using Angie's List.

Description of Work: I contacted Evans Quality Roofing for an estimate to replace the roof on my home. Jason Evans was very responsive to my request. He came out to my house to provide my free estimate, but it was raining and he was unable to get on the roof for measurements, and asked if he could reschedule at a later date. He did an excellent job of keeping in touch with me, and was finally able to get to my home and get on the roof to measure. I received the estimate in a few days. His price was higher than others I had received, and in the end we chose another contractor. I was impressed with his responsiveness and would have used him if the price had been right.

Description of Work: I purchased a coupon on Angie's List for roof maintenance and gutter cleaning by Evans Quality Roofing. Jason Evans, who performed the service, was very courteous and professional. To begin, Jason promptly answered his phone when I called to make an appointment for the service. On the day of the scheduled service, Jason called to let me know that he was running ahead of schedule, after completing another job, and asked if it was okay to move our appointment time up--to which I gladly agreed.He professionally cleaned the gutters, inspected the roof and performed minor maintenance and identified a problem with the rubber roofing on my porch. Jason gave me requested estimates for correcting the rubber roofing problem and installing gutter guards, which I found to be quite reasonable. Based on this experience, Evans Quality Roofing is a contractor that I would use for any future roofing or gutter work.
