First, my project was to install, from scratch, a new HVAC system, including ducting, with tha furnace in basement (initially, it was upstears in a closed). Last year and early this year, I got 3 contractors on site, by direct call, and none of them answered my spefic questions but taking pictures and promising that will send an estimate. I never got it. I was getting anxious. So I got the idea go to Angi. First visit I got in the same day I put my request on Angie's site, called his boss advice me to just change the furnace. I could not, because the previous system was heating OK only one half of the house. Finally, next day I got AJB visit an made me happy. He understood perfectly what I wanted and my concerns and explained to better and quite ingenious solutions on my suggestions. I understood him perfectly because I have strong knowledge of aero-dinamicsor or fluid mechanics so I signed the contract right then. Now, I have a sweet warm house in every corner of it.

Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and empathy during all aspects of the project, plus the rare event of having a contractor arrive on time for estimate and installation. It was a pleasure having no stress working with the owner Andy and his son. After having two other much higher estimates for inferior split ductless heat pumps than what Andy installed in my house, I was able to have the efficient system installed to fit my budget. So glad I chose a family business with lower overhead and stable expertise proven over their many years in business.

I recommend this company to anyone who has HVAC issues. Very thorough and professional.

The owner Andy was a very nice and sweet man and he did the work by himself and I will give anybody credit for going up and down ladders, up and down ladders, up and down steps, up down steps and drilling holes in the brick and everything else. I have a brick home so it was a lot of hard work and he did a very very good job and I really appreciated it! And did I mention he was by his self !!! It took a couple days to be finally completed, but with the work that he had to do with the brick and the windows and everything I think he did a super job ! I would hire him again to do something if I needed too !! Thanks Andyâ ºï¸ also, I forgot to mention I think the price was pretty fair. I really do. I honestly think a bigger company Because of the overhead wouldâ ve probably charged me more.

Andy was excellent. From day one he was very honest and straightforward. He answered all my questions and recommended quality products. On the day of installation he was prompt, professional and hard working. He did an excellent job installing my new system in a timely manner. I highly recommended this company.

Everything done exactly right, on schedule (ahead of what I was expecting). AJB quoted a Columbia boiler, which cost a little more than the others, but I believe will be worth it. Worked almost 13 hours the first day and a couple more the next day to get the job done. Cleaned the area and ensured everything was operating properly.

We are extremely happy. Our unit had been down 2 years and they arrived when they said and the work was completed that day and we have whole house heat again. Thank you so much!!!!

He charged $335.00 an hour... WAY too much. I will never hire AJB Mechanical Heating and Cooling for another project. He says that he did not charge that much labor, but instead charged me $370.00 for the pump which retails for $131.00 at Lowes which is .9 miles from here, a 5 minute drive. Still... charging an EXTRA $240.00 for running after the pump which is a 10 minute round trip is completely ridiculous. (That is a rate of $1440.00 an hour).

Arrived on time and completed job when stated.

Andy installed a new A/C, heat pump and furnace. He came out and checked out what we needed. He sent the quote that night and was back in less than 4 days to install.
